New to the board...

Post by faithandhope »

Hey fabulous ladies!
I'm new to the board.....DH and I have been TTC since March 2006. We did our first IVF Aug. 2007 and got a BFN and now are on the Frozen cycle....transferred 2 on Day 5. Going in for my Beta on 10/26. This 2 WW is WAY harder than the first time for some reason!? I think because I am taking it much easier this time around. What the heck is everyone doing on their 2 WW? I've watched all the TV and movies I can watch, played cards, read books and magazines, and now I am out of ideas! I was out and about today but feel guilty like I should be resting. Suggestions??

Vicky- I have everything crossed for you :D .
Well I'm still holding on. Monday can't come quick enough.

Beaner - I've experienced some dizzieness also. Not so bad that I've been on all fours - but bad enough that I had to lay down. I'm trying to read too much into it.

Man, this has been a long two weeks - I'm thinking about doing a test but I've done so many in the past that have been disppointing :( :(

aaaaaaaaagh!!

Vicky - yippee!!! Congratulations. I am so excited for you. Glad to see our first BFP - let's hope there are many more to come.

Eimear2 - best of luck on Monday!

I am still holding on during this 2ww but am starting to falter a bit. I woke up this morning and am now paranoid because my bb's aren't sore. I know that they won't necessarily be but it is just one thing that I am getting worried about now. I had some cramping (isolated) which is a good sign to me but then who knows.

Beaner, hope that your clinic was able to give you some answers about the dizziness. That sounds scary.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!!

Hi everyone,
I'd like to join the 2ww as well. I test on the 29th. It's my third try and had 2 blastocysts transfered. I wish everyone luck and was wondering if anyone was having any cramping?

Faithandhope....welcome!!, it is tought to stay distracted during this 2ww. I am also trying to find new things to do to keep my head clear from all this crazyness!!.

Eimear....I am with you with the testing thing, I actually tested thinking it was all over, but got the big surprise, so you never know!!!

Kelly....I am also freaking out about the bb's not being as sore, why do we have to think about every little detail!!, I am trying to think that the sore bb thing is from the stims and that it has nothing to do with pg, so if they come or go it won't affect our outcome, as a matter of fact, I heard tons of girls that became pg that they said that their bb's stopped being sore after a while, so who knows!!!!!!

Kimberli.....welcome to this board!!!, about the cramping, I think most of us here are experiencing that, hopefully is a good sign!!!

Well girls, I repeated the HPT this morning, still a very faint second line. Yesterday night I told my DH "when we do our second HPT tomorrow morning do not expect much of a change, since the HCG doubles only every 48hs or more, so less than a day will not really affect much", well, I guess I should have said that to myself too  , cause when I did the HPT this morning I freaked out cause the second line is not darker!! aaaaaarrrghhhhhhhhhhh!!!, will this constant worrying ever end!!!!! :? :?

For those who test on Monday like me.......only 2 more sleeps girls!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all - faith and hope I test on Thursday 25th - so we can travel these last few days together.

I have had a thaw cycle - 2 embies transferred at 2 days. But for the first time it has been a natural cycle - no drugs at all. I have sore bbs and occasional cramping - getting nervous as AF is due on Tuesday - I hope she doesn't arrive.

Vicky - hang in there.

Hi faithandhope - will POAS Tues morning - this is a natural thaw cycle for me so Tues will be 2 weeks after ovulation. Should get an accurate result then? Then I have blood test on Thursday.

What cycle did you do ?

Hey Angie-I did a frozen cycle.....transferred 2 blasts on Day 5. I'm a little in shock right now....just POAS and got a faint line. Is this possible?! I am 5dp5dt. Took one yesterday and it was negative so nothing is in my system. Anyone know girls who saw a positive sign this early??

Hey girls, I did the HPT yesterday and got BFN.  . I'm gutted. I'm not holding much hope for tomorrow. I don't know where I'm going to find the strength to keep going. I have one frozen embie left - it only takes one right? :( .

Thank you girls for your support, it means a lot to me right now!

Eimear, hang in there girl, I heard way to many stories of people having neg HPT's even the day of their blood test and then having BFP's, so you never know, don't lose the faith (look who's talking  ....)

Faithandhope....congratulations!!!!!!, I heard of some people having + this early, mainly on blasts transfers!, and it's even more positive the fact that the day before was negative (which eliminates the possibility of a false + due to trigger shot, if you even had one.....)....so congrats are in place!!!!!!!

And I repeated, once againnnnnnnnnnn, the HPT this morning, the second line is still there, which is a big relief, not too much darker though, but I am going to try not to make too much out of it.......

GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY AND TONS OF BABY DUST!!!!! ImageImage

Vicky - how are you doing? Glad to hear that the spotting has remained brownish and not much at all. I think you'll be fine!

Faithandhope - congrats you are pregnant!!! if you got a negative and then a postive then that definitely means you are pregnant and it isn't from the trigger shot!! I've read some women who have tested at 5dp5dt and had a faint line which resulted in a bfp so now you are among them! I'll bet you are super excited!

Eimear2 - don't read anything into that hpt result. You can't imagine how many people on this forum have said that they did a hpt the day before or day of their beta and got a negative only to get the call from the clinic that they were pregnant! Hang in there, only one more day to go!

Angie - how are you holding up?

Kimberli - welcome! you and I test on the same day. We are one week down, one week to go! Will you do a hpt beforehand?

I am still having some mild cramping which I am starting to worry is AF rearing its ugly head but who knows. My bb's are a little bit sore in the morning and then quite sore in the evening - why would that be?

Hope everyone is going well!!!

Hey all!
Thank you so much for your advice and info! My husband and I are thrilled but nothing is sinking in until we see something on an ultrasound. Eimear, please do not get discouraged. I only had one failed IVF and it was devestating to me, but you must not give up hope yet. Continue to have faith until the Beta!!! You can do it!

I wanted to tell you all some things I did differently this time around. Last time, I only did one day after transfer of bedrest. This time, I was on bed/sofa rest for 72 hours. I didn't even shower! It was hard to do, but I believe it made a difference. Also, I drank 8 ounces of pinapple juice each day and ate pinapple. If you don't like how the juice tastes, add some orange juice to it and it tastes less acidic. Last time, I had limited caffine to one diet coke a day, but this time, I cut it out completely a week before the transfer and haven't had any since. I hope this helps, but I truly believe these things might have made a difference. (-;

Took one of the expensive PT and the word, "pregnant" appeared....it is the strangest thing in the world after being told we probably wouldn't be able to have children of our own. I hope everyone on here gets to experience it! I am praying for all of us.

Try not to look into the symptoms too much....I have/had all those twinges in the uterus, but no big or sore boobs at all.
