IVF$4k in Mexico, have you done it? Do they have donor eggs?

Hello I am trying to find out about IVF in Mexico and if they have donor eggs available and legal in Mexico, are there donor registries there? I will also post this under the egg donor topic page. Has anyone undergone IVF in Mexico and can you tell the rest of us about it, cost, safety, etc.

I am looking into the Fertility Institutes (Guadalajara, Los Angeles, and Los Vegas).

They offer IVF for 40, 000 pesos =$4,000 USD.
I have visited Guadalajara before and its a fine city, we stayed in the wonderfull old hotel Frances, just off the plaza, built in 1610 for only $40 per night. I called the Fertilty Inst.'s U.S. 1-800 number but the U.S. clinics say they do not know what goes on in Guadalajara. I do not speak Spanish well enough to call there myself. Soon I will consider hiring someone to speak Spanish for me and call the Guadalajara clinic directly.
I have emailed some Dr.s in Mexico to ask for information but have rec'd no responses.

I have compiled a stack of IVF info, should I post it here or make a webpage out of it? Its all about IVF fertility tourism, prices, info.

why did you choose mexico? do you know how common it is for women to travel to do IVF. I have a friend who lives in Fairbanks Alaska who has 2 pals who traveled to do IVF. But they had to because Alaska doesn't do IVF. Isn't that incredible?? LostGirl

Hi Arcadia, I have inquired before to the clinic in Mexico and they do have IVF for $3,000.00 + Meds is about $1,000.00 and if you want Donor Eggs it is $1,500.00 more. This is just for one cycle. They do not have the Money back guarantee package like here. I was hoping they would so I can have my treatment over there. Here the Package is $28,000.00 and you get 3 fresh IVF cycles and 3 Frozen embryo cylces and if you do not get pregnant they refund you all but $8,000.00. Henrietta: where in Mexico did you inquire? I heard of people going outside of the US but haven't heard much about Mexico. I'm Mexican too and can speak Spanish, I would just be worried about success rates. My insurance does not cover IVF but will cover meds (crazy, I know!). At least I would get some coverage but this would be my 3rd time so I would definately want to go someplace with great success.

It is in Guadalajara, there success rate is not as good as other places but it is not bad either. The reason I am not doing is because of the money back guarantee package that I can get here. Good luck.

We get many patients who come from Mexico for IVF cycles. And we charge a lot more than $4000.
