Hypothyroidism

Post by frenchy »

Hi ladies,

I've been reading these boards for a while and will be starting my first ICSI in November. Was just wondering if anyone uses Levothyrox to control their hypothyroidism and has the answer to my question.

I know I need to increase my usual daily dose on confirmation of a BFP but do I need to increase it beforehand, eg, during the 2WW?

I know I should go and see an endocrinologist but here in France they're always booked up for weeks. Any answers gratefully received.

Hi Frenchy, I take 150mcg per day, and was told only to increase my dosageon getting a BFP, by half again so i would be on 225mcg , and then get my blood test so they can correct the level.
Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi Beachbaby,

Thanks for your reply. I thought it would probably be to increase once BFP but didn't want to take any chances. Thanks again and good luck.
