I've made it - at last!!

Post by Nikola »

hello

I've finally made it to the 'other side'. I've not allowed myself to look on here and always thought its a bit like I was snooping on the 6th formers when I was still a first year at school!!

I got my +ve result on Thursday after my second attempt. I remember so many of you (Emma, Sarah, Rachel, Shell, Adey!!) from when I cycled with you in March/April. Look at you all now!

I still don't really believe it and am not sure when (if ever) you get to start and relax and enjoy being pg! I have my first scan a week on friday and hopefully can see whats inside!

Apparently my hcg level was a record for my clinic. It was 628 and they have only ever had results of 200-300. Obviously this then makes me panic that something is wrong, but they assure me its a good sign, just a high probability there could be more than one!

I guess this 2ww is harder than the last one!

love nikola.xxx

It's all worth it though, you're in for such an amazing time.

Enjoy a happy and healthy pregnancy. I look forward to reading your progress. First one has to be the number of babies, by the sounds of it!! :-)

LOL
Helen xx
Welcome welcome!!! It is really amazing when you realise that you will be mainly logging onto this side rather than the other (although of course we all check up on each other from both sides).

Its all fun & games now - you think the 2ww is the worst bit but there's plenty more where that came from I can tell you!! The trick is to try to relax with the idea of it and rest especially for the first weeks.

All the best, lots of love - Jo. XX

Hi Nikola, I finally figured out where "the other side" is. I know what you mean about not being able to relax and enjoy being pg. I'm really looking forward to the kicks, but I'm probably going to drive the baby (or babies) crazy when I feel they are too quiet and do all sorts of crazy stuff trying to wake them up. I couldn't quite figure out what date your scan is. Is it the 3rd or 10th. I have to wait until the 16th, a week later, because my clinic is closed for a week for a seminar. They would rather scan me later than earlier. I don't feel the same!

How are you feeling? I'm a bit queazy and tired, but other than that feeling good. For some reason, I am really wanting to look pregnant. I'm already rubbing my belly all the time although there isn't much there.

Take Care,
Val
