Hello Ladies,
Woddcliff and BabyB,I gotta admit it was kinda funny to run and jump around the hallway, people were looking at me funny!!!
Now i know that for the 20 weeks US i am going to eat something sugary before my appointment in order to wake up the sleeping beauty because i am sure it will be much harder for me to run around by then :D .
Woodcliff, unfortunately i still have MS, mostly it is in the mornings and after about 6 or 7 pm, sometimes i take anti nausea pill, but most of the time i just throw up, probably 2 to 3 times in the morning and about one time in the evening , but it is still soooo much better than it was before when i would do it on some days 15 times a day!!!
So, that is why i am not complaining, i am hoping it will go away eventually, but even if it doesn't it is OK, it will be all worth it at the end!!
Love to all,
Vlada :D

Hello Ladies!!!

It's been a while since I have posted, but I read up on all of you regularly. It is so weird... many of us are already starting our 2nd trimester. I would love to say it has gone by fast, but really for us it seems it has taken forever! We know we are pregnant at like day 8 after transfer, when others who get pregnant without IVF normally don't find out until they are like 5 weeks along....

As far as protien sources for those who can't stomach meat, have you tried cottage cheese? I will eat cottage cheese and pinapple, which usually sits pretty well on my stomach.

So is anyone else at the stage where your normal clothes are getting too tight, but your not ready for the maternity clothes yet? I walk around work with my pants unbuttoned (only when my top will cover it) just because I can't stand to keep them done up!!! I was looking on line for "in between" maternity clothes and found what is called a BELLA BAND. It seems so cool! You can wear your pants, with the button and zipper undone, then you wear the band around it and it holds up your pants. The best part is, they come in different styles, so most of them just look like the hem of an undershirt. I am sooo ordering some!

Many of you are talking about your NF tests. I am 33, but my doctor has never even mentioned it to me as an option. I wonder if I ought to request it and if I do, does it have to be done by a certain time?

Well take care all..... Here's wishing that all of your MS will disappear soon!!!

Hello Everyone!!! Glad to hear everyone is doing well!

Vlada great news about the blood clearing up from your womb. I just read your story about jumping about to get the baby in the right place for the scan. I laughed so much I swear a little bit of wee came out :D

Regarding clothes... YES!! I am not exactly huge, I've got a little bit of a belly, but I don't feel comfortable in any of my regular clothes. I've got a couple of pairs of full on maternity jeans with a big elastic waitband that comes right up to my boobs. Sexy!!

I hit the 12 week mark today!!!!!! Yaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So pleased!!!!!

My MS is really bad. It's there pretty much constantly at varying levels of pukeness. Sometimes I just feel rotten, other times I throw up. Oh well. I went to the doctors again today because it's so bad I can't work so I need a sick note. The doc offered to sign me off work for THE WHOLE PREGNANCY!!!! I was shocked, I thought I was going to struggle to even get a note for a couple of weeks. Anyway I declined the 6 month note and got signed off for a couple of weeks. She told me to go back if I need more time so I'm pleased about that because it's really been worrying me to take so much adhoc time off.

Ah and I had the 12 week scan on Monday. The babes weren't moving at all, but both hearts were beating away strongly! Guess they must have been asleep. Here's a pic of the little angels:

I've got the Nuchal/Blood test next Wednesday. Normally we have to pay for it privately here in the UK but they offered me it at the hospital, so I guess it's because it's twins.

Love to all,

Hayley xxx

Hello Ladies,
It has been almost 2 weeks since I posted. I have been reading up, but I am always too tired to post. My Master's program and full-time teaching are killing me! I am a little over 10 weeks now and still feeling pretty good! I get a bit sick to my tummy, but that is all. I am having trouble adjusting to life without my fertility doctor. I have not had an ultrasound since 7 1/2 weeks and my next one won't occur until I have the Nuchal fold test at 12 weeks, 5 days! I had my first OB appointment, but it was only with the nurse. I had to take off work for it and it was such a waste! The nurse just asked me history questions, no exam at all!!!!! Trust me, I begged for an ultrasound! I go back next Wednesday (Halloween) for the first appointment with the doctor. I was told she would just listen for the HB and do a full exam. We are telling our parents in 2 weeks! I can't wait!!!
Have a great day!!!!
Michelle

Woodcliff: What a fantastic trip! And what a perfect time to chill in romantic Italy! I love it there!!!!!! I really wish I coud escape for a month during this pregnancy to just chill out in some far away romantic spot. Unfortunately, just took this new job and I'm already nervous about telling them I'm pregnant. I'll have been at the company only about 9-10 months before taking my leave for . . . . who knows (I"d love to take at least 3 months).

I only worked part time with my last pregnancy (much easier!) and after I lost my DD, i decided not to go back to work for a bit. When I wasn't working, I was all stressed out and missing it. Now that I am working and am preggo, I wish I had much more free time to just chill and go places. Go figure -- grass is always greener on the other side. Well, at least I have great insurance and a nice income to afford my 2 little ones so I guess I shouldn't be complaining. Suppose it wouldn't hurt to win the lottery though -- LOL. OK, I'll stop now.

Hayley: pic is adorable! Congrats

Sciteacher: I can only imagine how tired you must be right now. You have a full load on your hands (in more ways than one!). I am 9 weeks now and go for an US with my RE at 10 weeks. Then, I'm doing the NT at 11 weeks (I know some take it a bit later -- around 12-13 weeks) so I'm hoping this isn't too soon. After this, I'm scheduling with my regular OB. Hope to see her at 12-13 weeks. I do know what you mean, though. At this stage, I want to see my babies EVERY WEEK! It is a bit neurotic, I must admit.

My mom and dad are so cute: went out of town and are hitting all of the baby stores. Just bought me another crib to match the one we have from my DD. They keep asking me and my DH if we need this or that -- so generous but how do you really shop without knowing the sex. Hoping for at least one girl to enjoy my DD's stuff, but only time will tell.

So I ramble on -- is everyone bored by this long post yet?

Cocoa: How have you been doing? Has the MS subsided at all? I'm starting to cheat a bit more now on my pregnancy diet (which involves no refined sugars and no simple carbs like white bread, white rice -- only allowed whole grains). In any event, meats and vegies seem to be giving me tons of indigestion and all I want are comfort foods -- a baked potato sounds great right now. SO, I haven't BLOWN the diet, but I am starting to cheat here and there (last night had chinese pan fried noodles :o and taking a bite or two of a dessert once in a while. C'est a vie.

OK, didn't I say I was going to stop! Hope all you ladies are doing well.

Good luck on your trip Woodcliff, I'm sure you'll be fine!

Off to the hospital again tomorrow so they can listen to the babies. Maybe they'll take the heartrate as we've not been told any heartrates at all.

And then I've got the nuchal test on Wednesday. A bit nervous about that but hopefully will get to see the babies some more!!!

Can't believe it's nearly 13 weeks already!

Hope everyone is ok!

hello Ladies,

WC, have a great trip - I love Italy and am sooo jealous. Just a shame you won't be able to sample much of that Chianti with your yummy antipasti and ice cream!! we will miss you!

So I had my nucal fold test this morning and saw my beanies on the screen. I was so happy that they were still there, wiggling about and looking like babies (if you know what I mean!!). they are both 7cm long and heart beats were strong. It took 1.5 hours for the scan as they kept falling asleep and were not happy with coorporating (sounds like their father!). I tried to paste them into the post but couldn't figure out how to do it.

Morning sickness has got much better - I almost feel normal bewteen 8am and 3pm - it then comes back with avengence in the evening. For those ladies still vomiting I totally recomend that you don't have spicy food - yesterday I had tabasco on my eggs and when I re-saw them later on i burnt the back of my throat with the acid. It was NOT pleasant.

OK, must run, love to all of you.

Hi Ladies:

I haven't posted for a long while but like many of you its due to the suffering of the M/S which is really evening sickness. I am best in the morning which is funny because I have always been a night person and had to re-train myself to get along in this work world... :)

I don't know about you guys (except for Rebeccaj who crazily ate tabasco) but the evening sickness is actually painful - it hurts all the way through to my back sometimes. I also feel a lot of pressure when I stand up from sitting for a period of time like the babies are pushing to come out. I think I am carrying really low right now and since both babies are on the right there is a lot of pressure on one side. I'm always nervous when I throw up that I'm pushing them out even more... oh the crazy thoughts we have... I am showing though. I look like I looked at 5 1/2 months with my son and I am a day shy of 14 weeks hmmm.... husband comment... "geez hon you're looking pregnant..." GENIOUS!

My next U/S is Th, Nov 8th and I am looking forward to seeing that the babies are ok. I am especially looking forward to feeling better and eating the GOOD foods I have always loved and not the crazy stuff I have been eating just trying to stave off being sick (which doesn't work most of the time anyway). I mean I'm not eating poorly just stuff that I wouldn't normally eat like A LOT of homemade potato salad, muffins, bagels with A LOT of jam... I have gained 10 1/2 pounds as of today YIKES! BUT I have to say that I did gain 44lbs with my singelton son in total and all of it PLUS another 14lbs came off by the time he was 6 months. I guess I just carry heavy (150lbs now at 5'8" so that's not too bad).

How are you ladies doing with diet? Anybody exercising? I was power walking like a fiend even while I was feeling sick but this low uterine pressure has got me on my butt for now until I see the doctor next week. I hope to be feeling better all around by then anyway.

I'm still working and I am glad I enjoy my job or it would be tough because my job is physically demanding. I travel from classroom to classroom throughout the city helping teachers and I am on my feet most of the day. I do rest in my car during my lunch break (when I can get a lunch break - its catch as catch can with teachers and sometimes you have to forfiet a real lunch to be able to conference with them).

I hope everyone is doing well and in good spirits. Congrats on the NFT test Rebeccaj and good luck tomorrow Haley. Its just fun to watch the babies. My test was quick - about 20 minutes and she was done. The I had bloods taken and that was that. The results come about a week later but the sonographer told me all looked good right there...

Miss you already WC!!!
Hey Babyb... how are you feeling? Did you ever get your ticker to work?
Where are you LisaPa???
Vlada, are you going to do a ticker?

I have trouble remembering weeks we are on - the tickers are so helpful...

I have to get an hour more of sleep before I get up for work... Have a great day ladies!!!

'Hi everybody,
I finally got my results form my nuchal test. Down syndrom 1 in 11,300.00 and trisomy 13 and 18 is 1 in 21000,00, so i think it is pretty good.
Cocoa, i am 13 weeks and 4 days, i don't think i am going to get a ticker, sorry, i really don't want to jinx anything, I know I am wierd about it, but still I don't think i can bring myself to do a count down
I also have morning and night sickness, it is not like it was before ( throwing up 20 times a day) but it is still there, which is irritating because i was hoping that it would go away by now :x
Is there anyone who is getting bad headaches? Mine are really bad, i wake up with it and go to bed with it as well and I never had problems with headaches before, pregnancy side effects i guess.
Rebecca, congrats on yoru test!
Hayley, good luck on yours!
Love to all,
Vlada :D
