Congratulations!

Welcome to this side of the board, where the worrying really starts!!!! No, honestly, it's lovely to have another positive result - if only it could work for everyone!

Try to relax, drink lots of water and take it easy - bet you can't wait for your scan - it makes it seem so much more real when you see the heartbeat - maybe you'll see 2!!!!!

lots of love Sally
(21 + 3)

Fantastic - well done Wibbs!!! It's amazing over here - there's help every step of the way ( as there is on the other side ) If you're like me you just never thought you'd get here and its such a dream come true, such a miracle.

Hope it all goes brilliantly for you - rest rest rest, that's the trick in the early weeks I think. I had to do the pessaries up until 12 weeks - what a pain, it's great when you can stop them, but I suppose its a small price to pay!!

Everyone's different with sickness. Mine started week 5 and has just really reduced to almost nothing (week 15 for me now). This was hard with working full time and long hours but I just tried to put it out of my mind as much as possible and kept eating dry Melba toast and breaksticks!!

Take care - lots of love - Jo. Have you checked with your clinic about your appointment with Mickey?! (and make sure you wear those special socks you can buy from boots)xxx
Just to add my 2 pennorth! I wasn't told anything re flying, and flew to France at 11 weeks. Perhaps just give your clinic a quick call to see what they say.

I started with sickness/nausea on the dot of 6 weeks, and most of the time I just felt slightly queasy. Sorry, but it can get worse at about 10 - 12 weeks (mine did) then after 15 weeks or so I felt fine. I still pog up occasionally now (nearly 22 weeks) but it's really not too bad.

Twinings make lemon and ginger tea bags which are very helpful, esp in the morning, and I found the Seabands acupressure wristbands that you can get from Boots to be the best thing in the world! I didn't take them off from weeks 6 - 14, and although I looked like a seventies tennis player didn't vomit too much (and you can really tell the difference when you take them off!).

As your HCG is so high, and you are queasy now, perhaps it's twins??
lol sally xxx

Thanks for all the advice girls,
Not sure about the ginger the thought makes me feel sick, anything makes me feel sick at the moment. Might try the seabands atleast I don't have to eat them.
Spoke to the clinc,, they are not worried about me flying said if it's going to servive it will servive anything!!!just keep moving around on the flight because you are more prone to DVT and the blob(s) will be ok (well not sure to call it a baby yet).
So for anyone who's on my flight I apologise now as I will be jogging up and down most of the flight probly going to the loo knicker checking again!!!.
Some clinc's are stricter than others I guess.
Take care and lots of rest
Wibbs
XXXX

Hi Wibbs. I finally figured out where "the other side" is and am glad to be here. I'm so glad to have my + but my heart still hurts for those that cycled with us and don't get to come over. My first scan is on the 16th too. My clinic didn't tell me my HCG levels, I guess I should have asked. They automatically test 2 days after the first test to check the rise in HCG. I was told that my levels are good both times. I guess I should just be happy with that.

I hope you can come on over to the US to see Mickey on the 17th. I only live about 30 minutes away from him. I haven't been to Disney for a few years, but have been there more times than I can remember. I can't wait to go with my "little one or two".

I'm assuming you are feeling well since I have hear no complaints. I am just a little queezy and tired, but other than that, I feel really good.

Take Care,
Val

Hi Val & Wibbs

Its like a little mini-reunion from the other side!! Where is Di???

Val - I posted the 'pigs' out to you at the weekend so you should get them at some point this week!! I have to say I've not eaten a single one since finding out I'm preganant, I think I ate too many on the 2ww!

I know what you mean about feeling sorry for the girls we left behind. You desperately want everyone to be successful and all come over here together! Claire tests today and then Kat on Friday and then Jackie, Lesley and Sue next week, so still a few more +ves to come out of the SCB yet!!

I must say I feel fine. I'm still very very bloated and can't fit back into my jeans (worried I might not get back into them for a while!!) My boobs are massive, got to go and buy some new bras!

I had lunch with a friend who is 8months pg yesterday and she was told be her midwife to stop wearing underwired bras immediately because it can block the ducts for breast feeding or something....all very technical! Have you been told this? Might put up a separate thread and ask!

Wibbs - good that you are allowed to fly. I've promised to be good and wait. So we are teasing ourselves with pictures of hot sunny places. Val you are so lucky to live somewhere that is hot all the time. Its supposed to be bloody freezing here this weekend!

Right well this is enough wittering on, glad you are both posting on this side. Val let me know that the pigs arrive safely!

love to you both
nikola.xxxx

Hi Nikola! It's great to hear from you.

I'll definitely let you know when I receive those "pigs". I really appreciate you sending them to me. I feel like a little kid when I think about getting a present all the way from the UK. Was it you that said you lived in the US for a few years? I can't remember who told me that. Let me know if there is something you would like me to send you. I don't know what we have here that you wouldn't find in the UK, let me know.

I feel pretty good too. I do have the bloating, sore boobs, mild nausea, and fatigue, but nothing unbearable.

I hadn't heard about the underwire bras yet, but after reading some of the replies to your post and since that is all I own, it's time to do some shopping.

Yes, I am lucky to live where it is hot!!! I can't handle the cold and even though it gets really, really hot you won't ever hear me say I wish I lived anywhere else.

Love to you too.
Val

Dh and I can't wait to bring our offspring over there to go on all the rides!!

I reckon if you like percy pigs you can probably get them on the M&S website and they can ship them out to you!! You might not even like them. I think we are ok to eat chocolate again now though aren't we?? Got to say I don't really fancy it much.

I'm very very tired especially in the afternoons. I feel like I've got a cold and just want to lie down and sleep!! Its all worth it though.

I still have to keep pinching myself to remind me I really am pg. Do you know what I mean???

I'm deffo off to buy the bras - you will see that everyone recommends M&S to buy the bras - that is the same shop as Percy Pigs!!!

You take care of yourself and your bab(ies)!!

lots of love
nikola.xxx
Nikola, that's funny, you've been more places in the US than I have. I've never been to Chicago, NY, or Pennsylvania. I've lived in Merritt Island, FL my whole life. The furthest North I've been is Tennessee. I've still never seen snow. My dh and I went to Tennessee in December 2 years ago thinking that I would finally see snow for the first time, we drove as high up in the mountains as we could, and the best we could find is a ski lodge making fake snow with snow machines.

I don't know if we should be eating chocolate again or not because of the caffeine. I can't imagine a little bit every once in a while would hurt. I'm not a big chocolate fan so I don't eat it.

I've found that I don't get as tired as I thought I would while I am busy working but once I get home I am exhausted. On the weekends I stay tired all day.

I still don't believe that I am pregnant sometimes and find myself saying "if I'm pregnant" in conversations.

Take care of your bab(ies) too Miss High HCG.
Val

Hi girls - I'm here!
Have been away from the site for a few days as DH been off work - exhaustion! Poor him, eh - he should try being pregnent!! Have also been down to my dad's in Middlesbrough prior to the scan at Notts on Monday ( a stopover in M'bro makes to travelling easier!) Anyway as I'm sure you'll have seen by now on other postings - I'm going posting crazy! that the scan went well - now have a lovely little scan picture of my beautiful bambino!
It's a bit different on this side isn't it? Nice though that you are all here as well - we can have our SCB reunion.
Its awful though that we can't all be here - but hopefully it'll not be long before the other SCB's have success and join us!
Di
