Oh there are just TOO many funny bits on the thread to comment on - I just don't know where to start!

I think I will just add my experiences with the goo and the wand. So Dr D's ritual is - big long squirt of the gel bottle onto the wand and then a very deliberate placing of the wand into the longest finger of the rubber glove (think the Rowan Atkinson scene in Love Actually when he is handling the jewellry with his white gloves) and then we're away.

Oh deary me, and as I found out with the preggo sistas months ago, even if this miracle continues, I will have to endure the horrors of the dildo cam for weeks to come.

Great posts sistas - loving reading you all.

Should have the blood test around lunch Fee. I am feeling like my head is not connected to my body and I am having an out of body experience currently.

Bye for now.

Angie- no, the dildo cam appointments will not stop just because you are preggo BUT they are much more fun because you are looking at something much more interesting than eggs!

Yes the goo is gross and I am glad to hear that everyone gets an enormous amount. I thought it was just me... I will say that at my Dr.'s office the bottle is in a warmer so as not to freeze my delicates. It is pleasant I must say...

Where is Vicky????

Fee- that is awful and hilarious about your secretary at work. Getting bit down there would not be pleasant I imagine. Put your feet up I agree. I am not fond of the swelling feet. I think I have gotten that symptom way too early myself!

Today I had to glucose tolerance test. That was one nasty drink. I hope I passed.

Tina while you are having a bottle of wine for Fee, could you do me a teensy favor and have a marguarita for me? Preferably frozen. I have been craving that. Thanks hun!

Ok I will be logging in all day for everyone's news. Take care!
Jenn

Ohh Meg, I don't know, it is sooooo weird!!!!!!!!!!!. It's like I cannot relax, I am always saying, ok after this test I will relax (first it was today's test, now it is the scan, then it will be the 12wk mark......AAAARGGGHHHHHHHH). Fee, you were talking about being supersticious, I am becoming like that too, when I go to the clinic, I always want to park in the same spot, also I don't want to change my signature to BFP, not to mention a ticker, noooooooooooooooo, or writing in the "pg after tmt" forum, no way, at least not for now.........oh well, we'll see how this goes!!!
I have to go back on Friday for a third one, fingers crossed!!!!!!

Angie.........LET'S CONFIRM YOUR BFP TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Vicky!!! I'm so happy for you! I know what you mean about the ticker and changing the profile. It took me a while too. I did the same thing with telling people. I kept saying "if the next blood test is good" or "if the heartbeat is still good next week" then the weeks went by and finally my mom was bursting at the seams for me to tell people so she could talk about it, so she convinced me to tell people. But when you are ready you will do it and the ticker will look great and you will feel great telling people your good news!

Angie-- you are next!!!! :D

Trust me, Vicky, I know what you mean about the superstition. Hell, Lucy is here and I'm still worried something is going to go wrong. It's just that things went bad for so long, it's hard to believe that good things can happen! So, don't worry about it. I think we all understand what you mean!

Lucy is doing better, thanks to all for your concern. I think it was just a cold, but the fever at that age elevated it to a scary level. Still, right now she just has the stuffy nose. However, I think I'm getting whatever it is now too, so that's lovely. I'm so overwhelmed with being a mother right now. It's so crazy--she is just so much more work than I ever imagined. Trust me, I'm not complaining---I love her so much. It's just that I literally get nothing else done during the day besides holding her, changing her and feeding her. I haven't showered in two days, my house is a freakin' disaster and my poor dog is so neglected. I have pictures I want to print out, thank yous to right. The list is never ending!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHGH.

I know I have a lot of nerve to freak out about that, but I really just needed to vent. Hope I didn't bend any noses. Okay, off to feed!

Mego: my nose remains decidedly straight  . I keep hearing from people that it is crazy until the baby starts sleeping through the night. Then at least you can pick up the house, feed the dog and take a shower either after they go down, or before they get up. I'm glad she is doing better... but sorry you have now picked up her cold... I suppose the first of many colds to come you will get from her

Vicky: Yay!!!!! Nicely rising betas are fab! I imagine that wait today felt like forever!

Angie: huh? huh? any official news yet?

Jenn: yes, I hear the gtt is horrid. Hoping for good news.

Kiwiexpat: Welcome (I do believe I was horridly rude by not doing so before  ). btw... your home country is FABULOUS. Dh and I were there for a while a few years ago and fell in love. We are looking forward to going back.

Fee: I gave those lazy antrals a talking to... told them their crazy Aussie Aunt Fee would be giving them a whipping if they didn't kick it into gear. i think that and the chocolate should do the trick . And girl..... get those feet up! I am so sad your secretary is leaving. Between her departure and The ******* in the pokey whatever will we do for drama around here? Hmmmm. I will have to start working up something here!

Tina: ummmm. I'm with you on the plethora of goop on the dildowand. i suppose that is better that it being too dry.... But it does require definite clean up after US. So not long now before your baseline. Do you know which type of protocol you are doing... i.e., do you start stimming right away or do you use lupron by itself for a while? I'm just trying to get an idea of when your retrieval and transfer will be.

Amy: well, I don't know that I will be much help since I think we will be waiting for the big mega thaw til sometime after the new year. I have an opportunity to do a medical relief trip (fingers crossed) to Viet Nam in March so I am considering waiting until after. Otherwise I will scrap the trip and transfer in February or something like that. But yes, we do need a trifecta here to top the current record week for the Sisterhood. Hmmmm. With Tina cycling maybe she can help us out with that! You never know... you may be the next Meg-- getting preg the natural  way  Whats up with Robbo, anyway???

The G.odiva chocolates I bought last night and sampled (!) all evening were fab and I am (currently) cool as a cucumber. My neck pain and headaches have finally started to let up so I am feeling more human again. My E2 level rose nicely yesterday, so that is reassuring. In for dildocam and needlestick tomorrow.

Oh yes, I almost forgot. My toenails are currently a festive orange for Halloween-- a result of a toenail-painting session with my niece. I anticipate donning the traditional sparkly blue polish by next week. I had better get painting! Roll on Mega-cycle.

Hello to all! I have enjoyed your comments regarding the dildo cam. It appears I am not the only one who detests that angry wand. Have you ever had someone come at you with that thing like they were carving a Thanksgiving turkey??? It's like, "Chill out, take it easy, I do NOT need that thing rammed up so far it comes out my flippin mouth!!!"

Jen - I am so pleased you asked me to have a margarita for you. I would be more than happy to have more than just one for you. Our annual Halloween party is Sat night and I just picked up my friend's margarita machine for the occasion. I tell ya what - just to show all the sistas how good a sista I am, my goal will be to have one for each of you. Combine that will the bottle of wine I already commited to and I should be good and hammered by the end of the night. Just how I prefer it.... :)

Vicky - yeah for you!!! You have got to just go with the flow and relish the moment. I am really happy for you!!! It gives me something to look forward to - hopefully soon!!

Sassy - I have my first date with Mr. Dildo on Nov 2nd and will start Lupron the following week. Then by mid-Nov, I will be shooting up the Menopur and Follistim. I can hardly wait to get started again and get my estrogen fix! :) My retrieval is scheduled for the week after Thanksgiving and they will be putting those little suckers in the first week of Dec. I am concerned about the current state of my toe nails. I ran a marathon in June and flippin lost 2 toenails afterwards....uggghhh...with one of them being a big toenail. I do not feel I am doing myself any favors even exposing the nasty little bastards right now, but what can a girl do? I am currently painting the skin above the nail in an attempt to fake my way into the Fall when soon the lovely Texas weather will begin to cool down a bit. Terribly disturbing nonetheless. :?

Meg - Glad Lucy is doing better. Bless her heart. I can't even watch one of my dogs get a shot. Not sure what I am going to do with kids!!! I am pathetic.

Fee - I have to admit I laughed my a-- off when you described your current appearance....esp the Magnum PI moustache. Perhaps if it grows long enough you could use some of the gel from the Dildo to sort of curl it up on the ends? Very sexy if I do say so myself.

Well the “apple pip” is doing well (I read somewhere that is how big it is) –it passed the 100 beta test and is 207. No more blood tests for me - just have to wait for 2 weeks for the heartbeart scan.

Unbelievable.
:D

Vicky SOOO happy for you too!

This day if AWESOME!! I can't believe all the positive vibes we are experiencing here! 207 is mighty respectable. I can't wait to hear about the upcoming scans to see the peanuts! You have got to keep us abreast of the progress ladies!!

Those Chinese herbs are amazing! You need to go down and give your little lady a huge kiss and tell her she is amazing. I can't wait to go to acupuncture tomorrow for some more work!
