Thoughts On Embryo Freezing/Uterine Lining

Hello All,

I am also very new to this forum and I'll get right to the point.

DH and I did are first IVF cycle on Monday.

We got 21 good eggs. 11 Fertilized.

Because my uterine lining was very thin and because I bleed the last 3 days before the retrieval, my RE suggested we freeze our embryo's and wait until my uterine lining looks much better. I also have major ovarian hyperstimulation going on right now... The pain is horrible!

What are your thoughts on freezing? The success rates?

i currently have 24 folicles and they think i will hyperstimulate how do i recognise this if they go ahead with egg retrevial

hi, im new as well the success rate is 5% less than normal i go for egg recovery on tues and have 24 folicles how many did you have

Hi Webgirl, Freezing has slightly lower sucess rates depending on the clinic, some prefer it. I hae done one fresh and am currently on my 2ww for my 3rd Frozen cycle.
Ihave found and is common that Frozen cycles are easier as a whole as you have not been stimmed, so your body is not bloated and you have not had all the drugs, some clinics do a natural cycle and some use hormone drugs to control the cycle, all in all they are far easier than fresh.All in all takes about 6 weeks from start to beta results.
