Hey Tina!!!!!, we missed you!!!. I understand how difficult it is when you have a friend who becomes pg and talks about that all the time, it is tough, and it sucks because it makes me feel guilty but I just can't help it, so totally with you on that one!. About your meds, I remember when I had my first shipment, OMG I couldn't believe it!!!. It is scary, but you won't believe how fast you consume all that!!! , everything you mentioned seems pretty much standard, at least I used all those same meds you mentioned before. Let me know if you have any more questions.....

Jenn.....wohooo on the doctors appt, I mean on the fact that the baby is looking great, not so wohoo about the iron pills though :? , but, nothing a good prune juice can't fix

Hey, have you noticed now I became a "valued contributor", I guess after you pass the 1000 posts they call you that, instead of calling you "big chatty mouth"

Well girls, see you later alligator!!!!!!!!

Vicky, aka Valued Contributor: Oh Happy Day! Congrats on the great beta... and the US appt!

Tina: No, I don't actually have PCOS. Which makes the fact that I have had so many follicles the last two cycles extra cool... especially at my age. And no, I haven't ever had OHSS. Good luck on your Friday dildocam. Here's hoping all is clear and you can get started this month. As for the meds. I was also a bit overwhelmed the first time I got the big box. Now, though, getting that box is exciting. The meds you mention sound right... along with the 4,000 some odd needles  . Like Vicky says, you will be amazed at how quickly those meds dwindle away. I am excited for you!

Jenn: Glad to hear US went well. Do we have a name for your soon-to-be screaming newborn? I don't think we do... hmmmmm. Also, good job on the gtt. Nice timing... right in time for halloween. As for the iron pills... prunes will be your new best friend  I myself like the dried prunes while on PIO. Good luck!

My trigger is tonight. Dr. D was thinking we probably would wait until tomorrow, but there must have been something about my bloodwork that made him change his mind. So ER on Thursday for me. This morning I had 30 follicles that were 12 mm or greater. 12 of those were >16mm. Then I also had around 4 smaller but developing follicles and something like 10 antrals. Where the hell did all of these follicles come from  And what I really want to know... is where were they for my first five cycles  ?

Ciao for now...

Good Evening All.

Fee- I just know you will be delivering Nogs on Halloween. Just in time to have a handful of wonderful chocolate candy I was so far off my guess with meg, that I had to redeem myself. I must say I did pretty well:) Please let us know as soon as he is born. Want all the stats...length, weight, time, name etc....and of course we want pictures as soon as you can muster up the energy to get them on the web.

Tina- Wow!!! I can't believe you live in San Antonio. That is where I do all my IVF treatments. I go to Dr. Schenken there. He is so awesome. My new co-teacher (whom I can' t stand) just moved here from there.
Anyhow, I live in Iowa Park, which is near Wichita Falls. Or, we could say that I live 15 miles from the Oklahoma border. Or I gues we could say about 2 hours north west of Fort Worth. Gosh I am wanting to be pretty specific.
anyhow, I grew up in Denver....went to college in Kansas, and then moved to Texas, which is where dh is from. He actually grew up in Wimberley (near SA). Glad to give up the snow, though I do misss my family.
Can't help you on all your drugs, as I didn't take that many. Don't worry though, just go with the flow.

Jen- Glad that you passed your glucose test. Eat lots of candy for me. I'm trying to stay away as I would like to lose a few pounds. Sorry that you have to take the iron pills. I hated those because they were so big, and I have a horrible time swallowing medicine. Dried apricots work really well too.

Vicky- So glad that the spottinghas seemed to subside. It is very nerve wrecking. At least your numbers are going sky high. I can't wait unitl you hear the hb. Have they confirmed yet that it is only one? I know my babysitters neice had numbers similiar to yours and she is having twins.

Sassy- 30 fillicles. WOW!!! You sure are competitive. I am not sure that any of us could beat you.
Yea, trigger tonight. I don't know why, but that was always the hardest shot fo rme. Your numbers sound fabulous though. Please explain to me what antrals are.

Well all, sure the kids will be pains in the hiny tomorrow as it is Halloween. Our prinicpal is not letting the kids dress up though, at least until Friday. Seems a little weird to me. You know the kids will be worthless tomorrow, and then again on Friday. So, guess it's a wasted week.
Headed to bed.

Just a quickie - Fee -sending you loads and loads of good vibes across the country - hope it all goes wonderfully and we can't wait for your updates and photos. I am SOOOO excited for you.

Sassy - good luck with trigger. I am sure you will retrieve lots of healthy eggs and make even more strong embies. Then you can give your body a rest for a while.

Vicky - your numbers are great. I have no idea what mine are now - they have left me all alone til my scan - still 10 MORE DAYS. AAAGGH.!!!

Best go. Good news is my counsellor called from the clinic - just to say hi as she saw my news on my record. SO sweet of her - I am waiting for her to call back. I have a feeling I am going to need her support even more than ever - so much for the anxiety lifting once I got the BFP - it's only just beginning.

Best go girls - enjoy your Halloe'en celebrations. need to go for a little lunch time walk to stretch my legs.

Helloo Sistas

I guess this will be my last post before heading off to the hosp!

Thanks so much for all of your good wishes and support over the pregnancy. It has sent me a bit nutty but I'm hoping for a good outcome. So happy that Angie and Vicky are now on the nutty train as well!!!

Angela great to hear from you! Yep it is a pretty big adventure. DH and I were musing that last night would hopefully be our last night at home alone in a long time, strange thought really...I see that you are having another go in November. I will be crossing my fingers and everything else that third time is the charm for you!

Vicky, congrats on your amazing numbers and the spotting stopping (sorry I can't type really small but I have touched wood after typiing that so as not to jinx you!) Looking forward to scan results next week. The heartbeat is a major milestone but may not show up quite that early so don't freak out if it doesn't (but I really hope it does so that you can find something else to freak out about...)

Jenn cracked up about the epidural. I will follow your lead and ask for pain relief upon admission. I don't see why you can't be hooked up to pain meds a month prior. In fact I think it is very sensible. You won't be able to walk though so DH will have to wait on you hand and foot! As far as the iron tabs go, I was on mega doses and feel much better for it. I've had no problems with getting backed up if you know what I mean...in fact probably the opposite, maybe too much iron??? Congrats on GT test, have some chocs for me!

Sassy good luck on trigger and ER and amazing follicle count! Way to round out the mega cycle! Looks like another big week for the sisterhood. Sister is now doing fine thankfully. I'm confident that I'm in good hands with my doc and am surprisingly less anxious than I thought I would be!

Tina, thanks for having a drink on me. Hope it wasn't too taxing for ya. I remember being overwhelmed by all the drugs and I don't think I had quite as many as you! You will be fine and the injections are really not that bad (apart from progesterone apparently - i had pessiaries). I agree that there does seem to be a basic design flaw given size of baby's head and size of exit passage. I will try to spare you the horror stories because I've had to endure many!

Robbo, I will post Noggin's stats asap. I will probably be in hosp for about 4- 6 days and not sure if I have a computer in that time. Hope so!

Angie Thanks for the good wishes. Your counsellor does sound good. In retrospect I wish I had been able to handle the anxiety better and not become a complete basket case. Hope you don't go down the same path.

Well I'd better be off to check my bags and have a shower. And paint my nails with some blue sparkly!

Fee

Great to hear from you Fee, just before you head off - glad you didn't just disappear on us. I think all the sistas will agree - we like to be in the know (otherwise we get anxious  ) so we will all be thinking about you over the different time zones over the next few hours (hopefully not days!)

Now be off with you and get to the hospital (but not before your toes are perfect). Are you really painting them? Can you still reach??!!

Take care matey.

Fee.......I guess you must be pushing right now, but I wanted to wish you the best once again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. And, as Robbo said, we will be waiting for your beautiful pictures!!!!

Sassy.....good luck tomorrow with ER!!, let us know how it went!!!, are you having ET on this one?????????, or are you doing a FET afterwards with all the frosties??

Work has been slow lately, which adds up to my sleepiness and it makes me a zombie all day long at work  . Where are you girls, please keep me busy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, at least until my scan next week (I 'll manage to find a new excuse afterwards  )

Fee- I didn't get to tell you good luck in time. By now you should have your beautiful baby boy! I hope everything went well. Can't wait to hear from you.

Vicky-
Scan next week, huh? I know it is torture to wait to see your baby, or get blood drawn to see your numbers. Just when you think you can relax with your BFP, it is a whole new set of worries! I think it will be that way for the next 18 years at least. Although I am 29 and still have to call mom to let her know I made it home safely after a long road trip!! :) Why is work slow? What do you do?

Sassy- how are you doing? Are you done with ER yet?
Jenn

Hi girls...
Just a quick note as I just woke up from my post-ER nap and am STARVING, so must discuss with dh where he is going to go get me take-out  .

ER went well. 18 eggs retrieved  ! Fabulous. Actually feeling better after this ER than previous ones... good considering I have plane tickets to fly to my sisters tomorrow evening. My siblings and their families will all be there (my niece's baptism), so I was hoping not to miss it.

P.S. The Sisterhood was well-represented-- I had beautiful blue sparkly toes!

Quick shout-out to Fee: Here's hoping you and nogs are well!!! Looking forward to hearing how it all went.

Hello ladies - hope all is going well .

Sassy - well done again. Great numbers again. I think to celebrate your final ER you and DH should take you somewhere very special. Very pleased for you - with these results, I am sure things bode very well for future transfers.

Fee - hope you are well - I'm sure you have your hands fulll right now.

Jenn - how does it feel to be next in line to have a sistahood baby?

Vicky - how are you? I think I will go crazy this week. Another week for me before the scan. How are you feeling? I have sore bbs and sometimes a fuzzy/cloudy head and I keep get ravenously hungry. But worst of all I feel quite flat and anxious. I must try and snap out of it.

Amy, Meg, Robbo, Tina - hope you are all well and having fun weeks.

OH well - off to do the groceries - taken another Friday off (annual leave) so that I don't over do things. Going to the races tomorrow and don't want to make myself too tired. Then I have to do a few jobs round at our new house - poor old DH now has the lion share of all the jobs as I can't even help him with the painting now. I don't know when we'll ever move in at this rate!

Just a quickie as I'm going to go squeeze in a shower before bed...DH has Lucy for a couple of hours so I'm a free woman! (A stinky, free woman as I haven't showered in 2 days!)

Sass--Congrats on the 18 eggs. That is so fabulous. I'm proud of you for making it through this mega-cycle. It couldn't have been easy on you---job well done!

Fee--Hope things went well. Can't wait to see pics of Nogs. I bet he's gorgeous. Enjoy it...I know it seems over whelming, but before you know it you have a 2 month old baby!

Vicky---I can't begin to tell you how jealous I am about your valued contributer status. We joined this forum right around the same time and you are obviously kicking my butt on the postings. I'm determined to kick it up a notch! You are my inspiration..........

Hope everyone had a great Halloween. It was pretty mellow here. Lucy was a duck :D She was very cute. A little young for trick or treating though, so we just took her out to my in-laws.

Well, gots to go! Have a great night....And here's hoping next time I log on we'll have heard from Fee!

Oh, I forgot--Angie I just wanted to say not to go crazy about symptoms. It's so early. But yeah, the fuzzy head thing only gets worse! I don't know if it ever gets better---yesterday I put the cereal in the fridge and the milkin the cupboard. Didn't even notice until my DH pointed it out. Grrrr.

This place is hopping! I am sorry I have been missing it.

Vicky and Angie- Are you both still just in total shock?? I can't wait for the rest of us slackers to join you two!

Tina - Nice that you came back. Glad to hear that you got the extra large box of meds. The more the merrier. Half of those I wasn't on, but I also have had MANY BFNs... so you might have the secret potion right there.

Jenn - Glad to hear all is going well with you. Any names picked out??

Sassy - Excellent pull. Very respectable number. How long we keeping those kids on ice? Is the Vietnam trip booked yet? Have you still been seeing your acupuncturist? Mine put me on a detox regimen that made me feel GREAT after all those meds. I highly recommend. I can give you the name, etc if you are interested.

Fee - When are you announcing the birth of Nogamy?? No wifi in your labor and delivery ward?? Don't they know the sisters need pictures? (Especially after hearing everything your sister went through, we certainly would like a post to let us know you are ok...)

Robbo - Isn't this the worst week ever for teaching? Might as well write it off from anyone actually learning anything. ... although the kids do have fun!

I am off to work in DSs class this morning. Talk to you ladies later!
