Jen and Bao-Good Luck testing tomorrow! I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Vickers-16 eggs that is fantastic! I hope you get a great fertilization rate.

As for me I am super bummed and depressed. I had 21 great follies, everything waslooking peachy. That is where the good news ends. When they did my retrieval this AM they only got 7 eggs. Yup 7. Apparently the other 14 follies were empty. That is exactly how I feel right now. I couldn't belive it, my RE was shocked. She went back through my chart and said eveything was looking great. How can they be empty???One of those unexplainables I guess. I have 6 mature eggs so tomorrow I am praying that they all fertilize. I keep telling myself "qulaity not quantity". But what went wrong, everything was looking so positive. I am really trying to stay optimistic but I am really bummed. I know it just takes 1, that is what I am praying for. Anyway, sorry to be such a downer. I will talk to you all soon.

Jen and Bao...Wishing all the luck in the world.

Wannabe.....Dont be bummed. Our nurse was telling us about a girl that had tons of follies and on the day of retrieval she had 0 eggs. Her and/or her husband had mixed the trigger shot wrong. Could you imagine that? THAT is worth being bummed about. You are still in this just has much as someone with 25 eggs. I was just reading about a girl who had 4 eggs, all fertilzed, all went to blastocyst and she got her BFP. Let us know tomorrow how many fertilized.

I forgot to tell you ladies my story. The wife and I were in pre-op when she started talking about how hungry she was. Being breakfast time, I said "You know what sounds good? eggs and ham" to which she agreed. When they brought me in post-op, I come around the curtain and she is laying there with her eyes closed. I walk up to her bedside and she opens her eyes, shakes her head and says "no eggs" to which I reply "ok hun, no eggs". She starts crying and I asked "why are you crying?" she replied "I dont have any eggs?" I said "yeah, you have 16 of them, I thought you were still talking about breakfast". I couldnt stop laughing.

   Typical husband. I guess I picked the wrong day to be thinking about eggs (edible)

JenB - thinking of you today! Hope you get great news this afternoon!!

Vickers - that is hilarious! great story!!! Awesome news about all the eggs - hope you get great fertilization.

Wannabeamomma - I think that 7 is still great!!! You should have frosties from that - but hopefully you won't need them for a while. Best of luck. When is your ET?

Tilly - how was ER? Hope they got some great eggs and that you are resting well!!!

Princess - how are things with you?

I just got back from my day 7 u/s and bloodwork and today they saw 9 follies (4 on right and 5 on left). I am feeling great because last cycle at this stage there were only 6. I have to go back on day 10 and see how they are doing. Let's hope that means good things for us!!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

My puppy is in the hospital so I am hoping that he'll be able to come home toinght and then I'll just spend the weekend with him. He has been vomitting for 5 days and they can't get it to stop. They found some growths/ulcers in his stomach that they've never seen before - 40 to 50 of them. Hope that they can figure it out and make him feel better. He is just 2 so he's still my little guy (my 80 lbs little guy
7 IVF cycles - 2 chemicals, 5 BFN

Hey ladies,

sorry for the long absence, was away on holiday and only just came back today, in time for the Beta test. So, in a couple of hours I will know if it's gonna be a really good or a really bad weekend. Honestly, I'm not feeling too hopeful, not much symptoms and don't feel pregnant. I'm not even gonna take the call later, DH will have to bear the bad news...

Jenbabes, thanks for the test thread!! hoping all the best for you *and me* and i've heard hot flushes are symptoms of PG. Just hang in there and hope for a BFP for you!

Kellym/baby08, sorry to hear about the cycle, but keep your chins up. Some people get it right the first time and others will take a couple of times but you will get your BFP!!

wannabemomma, during my last scan, i had close to 23 follicles, during ER, only 13 oocytes were retrieved and at the end, only 6 were fertilised and good to go. This cycle I had one perfect one transferred, the second one didn't make it. So i still have 4 on ice. So really, 7 is a pretty good number!

Just wanna thank everyone who has welcomed me on this thread and all your well wishes. Baby dust to everyone going for next cycle, waiting for retrieval or going into the dreaded 2WW. You girls/guys have been really wonderful. I'll keep you all posted later if I'm up to it....

Well, back from ER. I'm extrememly bummed as they only got 5 eggs. My RE didn't want to try and get any more because I was experiencing so much pain. (so my DH says) I'm so worried that none will be good but that just can't happen right? atleast one has to be good. Has anyone else experinced alot of pain after ER. I'm pretty sore, it's hard ot move around and walking is very painful. We'll find out Fertilization results tommorrow off to transfer on Sunday and 1st beta will be 11/15. So Ironic since the child we lost two years ago was due on 11/12.

Wannabeamomma- PMA girl 7 is a good number you should have some left to freeze but I'm hopefull you won't need them.

Vickers-Great numbers good luck on ET.

Kellym- I hope that puppy get's well soon. Grow Follies, Grow!!!!

JennB-Thinking of you, hope all is going well.

baoboa-Sorry to hear about the BFN. I'll be keeping you and DH in my prayers.

wannabeamomma – hang in there. Out of my 8 retrieved, 7 fertilised and had 1 perfect one on day 6. The rest eventually stopped developing. It’s true about the quality not quantity, it’s just hard to console oneself when we have these expectations.

Jen babes- I hear you!!! I go from, yeah I feel different to hitting an all time low. I feel like AF is arriving, then a strange twinge/pull. I read into everything.

I read the side effects from the crinone (progesterone gel) is “deep sadness”, cramps, sore boobs etc. WE just can’t win on this wait. I am beginning to come to the conclusion that I am my own worst enemy. It’s totally out of my hands now, and all this worry, second guessing and reading into every twinge is enough to put you in the loony bin. I am trying to brace myself for another let down, then get upset with myself for being so pessimistic. AARH!!!

Kellym - grow those eggs!! I hope puppy is good now. I have a lovely lab who I just adore. He is a wonderful source of support. I often sit on the floor with his head in my lap chatting to him. He responds the only way a dog can – wag of tail, big brown adoring eyes.

baobao –I ‘m so very sorry. Look after your self. Don’t lose hope. Have you thoght about where to next?

tilly3709 – fingers crossed that you get a good report.

Vickers3 – I hope the eggs are developing well. What transfer are you guys thinking of 3 or day 5?

I am no longer bloated, but just have the odd twinge. They told me to double up on the prog gel. This got me really down, as I interpreted it as – my body isn’t producing enough to support a pg and I began to give up hope. I’m just in limbo until BETA on Wed.

Too scared to take a hpt……
Do you want see the man in charge or the women who knows what's going on?

talisen_cat, Our clinic only does day 5 transfers. I am kinda puzzled right now though. I was just reading about blastocysts and how rare it is to get them to that stage. It seemed, from what I was reading, that if they dont make it to blastocyst by day 5 that we wont have anything to transfer. Does that sound right??

Hello All,

Just received a phone call from the nurses, sadly it is BFN :(
Although, Im dissapointed but definately not suprised. Dr advised at the time of transfer that since embryo was only 50% intact - chances were very slim.

Baby dust to all of you ladies, may I be the last BFN result on this list.

Best wishes to all.
