FET- NOV/DEC BUDDIES

Hello all-
Getting ready to start my first FET cycle tomorrow and was wondering if anyonelse is doing one in NOV or DEC.? It's always nice to talk with others who are going through this. I have 3 embies on ice, hopefully with baby/babies in there!
My estimated FET transfer is DEC. 13th. Does anyone know if you test sooner with FET? I know with FRESH it was 14 days post transfer, was wondering about FET since this is my first time.

I just started my first FET cycle. My transfer date is also December 13th and I also have three frozen embryos. Guess we are in this together. What is your protocol? I have been on BCP for two weeks and I start lupron injections tonight. It is great having someone with tentatively the same transfer date. I am curious about the test date as well. Getting a BFP would sure make it a great Christmas!!

Great! We are definately in this together, same transfer date and all. I will start my BCP's today. I go for my baseline ultrasound on Nov.13th. I think they will tell me then when to start the lupron. I am also going to do estrogen pataches and the progestrone shots. Don't know the times all that will start. Amazing we both have 3 on ice. It would make it an AWESOME CHRISTMAS if we could get positives!!!!!! I see that you had one failed IVF like me too. I am praying this will work this time and I actually feel better about it than I did w/ the fresh for some unknown reason. Keep me posted. Thanks for replying to the post. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Just thought I would check in with you. It always seems like the first few weeks take so long to get through. I am still on BCP, lupron and Flagyl. I will be done with the BCP on Thursday....so that is one step almost complete. I will start the vivelle patches in about a week and a half... I am having a much harder time getting excited about this cycle. I think it is because I now know what to expect and I'm not so anxious about the meds. It seems like a piece of cake this time around. When i went to get the meds the pharmacist went over everything and I was like yeah i got it but thanks. I remember the first time I went I was so overwhelmed and scared by everything. The nice thing is that I walked out of the pharmacy with only one bag this time instead of two huge bags. So there is a plus side. I am really trying to stay postive for this cycle but its hard. My doctor told me that with my last fresh cycle I had a 65% chance for success but with the frozen cycle it goes down to 40%. I need to start thinking positive and I will especially the closer it gets. Right now it just seems like it is going to take forever for December to get here as I am sure you know.

hello.
i started my b/c last saturday. i go for my baseline ultrasound on nov.13 and they will then tell me when to start the lupron and other drugs. did you start your lupron the same time as b/c? i know all docs have different protocols but sometimes its just confusing.
this cycle feels different for me too. it's like dragging along. i figured up the days too and if i am correct, our beta test will be either Dec. 24th or 25th and more than likely, the clinic will be closed

Hi! Mind if I squeeze in here with you guys? Looks like we've all have lots in common, one recent failed cycle, and FET in mid December. My approx. date for transfer is between Dec. 14-17. I start my BCP tomorrow, so here we go again right?? It sure is nice to have support on this message board, and a nice way to make friends! Me and DH have 6 icebabies, really good grade. Hopefully we'll bring on the new year with BFP's!!! You are right, it sure would make a great Christmas!!!

Hi girls ~ I am hoping you don't mind if I join you all. I just went through my first IVF cycle. I overstimmed - they got 48 eggs, but we put back 3 lower quality because I insisted on a fresh transfer. Long story short, I got a BFP - but it was a chemical PG. I have 17 on ice, but 8 are good quality. I plan on transfering 2. My RE said that he has a higher rate of success with frozen tranfer because the environment is more controlled. I am hanging on to those words. I have to believe!

I was really looking for a FET thread and haven't been able to find one. I have been on BCP's for several weeks already, just took my last one Thursday - AF showed today, started Lupron a week ago and today I take estrogen pills and do the estrogen cream tonight. I'll put together info for our stats:

I know a lot of people who have done IVF cycles. The earliest you can test is 10dpo - so...depending on how old the embies are and when they transfer is when you can test. With me, I have 4 day old embies, so I will test 6 days after transfer. I am a POAS addict, so I will be testing even sooner with cheapie tests.

Hi Ladies,

Glad to see that more people are joining. I am still doing just the lupron right now. I have noticed that I am bruising a lot more this time around with the lupron shots. Anyone else having problems with this? For my last ivf cycle i had no trouble with the lupron. Well hope you are all getting along well with the meds. I have my first doc appointment since this cycle has started on Wednesday. But other than that this week all I have is the lupron. I start Estrogen patches next week. I hope you all are enjoying your weekend.

Hello all,

My FET is Dec. 17th.

We did our first round of IVF last month and froze 3 embies. We didn't do a fresh transfer because my uterine lining went crazy. I bleed the last 5 days before the ER.... It was really strange, because my FSH levels were fine, obviously I wasn't having a period and I had 21 good eggs.... Just bleed like crazy so my RE decided to wait and allow my body to heal...


Anyhow, I'm thinking positive and remembering the power of prayer!

Good Morning everyone! (well...it's morning where I live, lol.)

Welcome babyorbust (I like your name!), the more the merrier here! Even though you are a little ahead of me, it doesn't matter because you can lead the way Hopefully with a start of BFP's!

cyclone-I had a problem a couple times with bruising, which is very annoying!! One problem I had was not waiting for the alcohol to dry, and the other one was a couple times I put in the needle just a little crooked. I bruised and bled!! Good Luck, and hope it goes better for you!!

webgirl-sounds like you had quite a time with your first IVF, glad you are healing up fine. I always think things like that happen for a reason.. We should be pretty much on the same schedule. I find out this week what my outline is. Good Luck!

Hi ladies ~ Just checking in.

Baby08 - you had your baseline U/S today, right? How did everything go?

Geez, the time is moving so slowly. With fresh transfer - my first IVF cycle, there was always something around the corner to expect. With the FET, I am just forever waiting and counting the days. The only thing exciting to look forward to is taking an additional estrogen pill in a few days. My next and final U/S is on the 24th. Then I will be starting the progesterone shots and cream.

Only 17 more days until transfer. I can't wait to start testing. You will all learn about me soon enough. I am a POAS addict.

My wife is going for her transfer on dec 1st. It was supposed to be on nov25 but are RE is in italy for a seminar. She has been on lupron and is no taking estrace pills. She will begin crinone and progesteone shots soon. We did an ivf cycle in july and miscarried at 8 weeks. We have 2 6 day blasts on ice hopefully all will go well. good luck to all if anyone has any suggestions let me know

Hello everybody,
I had my baseline ultrasound yesterday, Tuesday. Doc said ovaries and uterus looked good. I started my lupron this morning (10 units)., last day for birth control is Saturday. Then wait for af, then the next step.
I understand what you mean by everything moving slow. My tentative date for FET is Dec 13 but the doc said I had to wait 14 days just like with fresh to test. I had heard its shorter w/ FET? Any suggestions?
