I'm really paranoid that I will do it wrong! My injections class is 11/14, but I don't start the meds until 11/25. That gives me a LOT of time to forget EVERYTHING they told me!
Am I nuts? Did anyone else feel this way, and still get the meds injected correctly?

You're not nuts! The first night of my Follistim and Menopur, it took me 1.5 hours to do the injections because I was being super nervous and careful, and because I paged my nurse with a question and they never called me back I finally just took the plunge, and it was all OK.
I actually didn't find my injections class all that helpful. I took mine about a month before I started. It was a group class and they covered all the different ways you might have to inject, depending on the type of medication. As a result, it felt a little overwhelming. What helped me was carefully reading the documentation that came with the medication, and using the internet. There are actually some helpful videos on YouTube that show you how to give injections (which was VERY helpful for my husband when he had to do the IM shots - he's super needle phobic). Some of the websites of the medications have videos as well.
You'll do just fine! I found that after a couple of days I was much less stressed about screwing up, and after about a week I felt like I pretty much knew what I was doing.
Good luck!

My suggestion is to just take notes on each of the shots. I did a one on one with my RE assistant. She was very informative and I just took notes right on my calendar that they gave me (which has everything outlined as to when each medicine starts) So on that day I knew where to give it and what exactly to do. Just take notes. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I knew that I wouldn't be able to give them to myself and so I made my husband do it. But, I had to be up by the doctors office for all the ultrasounds and we couldn't afford for DH to take a week off, so I was up there at my sisters and had to give them to myself and I was surprised that I was able to do it!! I guess it is amazing what you will do when it comes to having a child, that we all want so dearly!!
Good luck

Can't I just hire a home health nurse to come by every evening for the first few days until I'm comfortable with it?

I'm a RN myself & I got really nervous & overwhelmed feeling before my first shot. It's very different when you are the patient & you've just spent $2000 on meds that you don't want to 1.) waste or 2.) use incorrectly.
I agree that the best way is just to jump in & do it. Write down the instructions, repeat them to the nurse. Do the SQ shots yourself(it really is better to control the little ones) and have someone else do the IM shots.

I found the injection lessons on my pharmacy's website very helpful. Google search freedom fertility pharmacy, & you should be able to find the site with the lesson videos.
Trust me, I bugged out too...but the old cliche rings true...it does get easier with practice! Then again, I've only been taking the Lupron for 10 days...haven't started my gonal f yet...I guess I'll be hitting up those online video instructions too!
I really enjoy injecting myself. Even though I'm entirely kidding myself, I feel like I have some control over my fertility. It's constructive. I'm only giving myself subcutaneous injections, which don't hurt at all and are very easy to administer - you just stick it in and press it down.
I know not everyone feels like I do, but I just thought it might be reassuring for you to hear that some people find it quite fun. And it really is hard to stuff it up. You'll be fine.
