From Helen and boys

went for a routine scan on Monday which showed that one of the babies'
> wasn't growing well and had reduced bloodflow from the placenta. To cut a
> long story short, I was taken into hospital for observation and was given an
> caesarean section on Thursday 9 October. I am now the proud Mum to little
> Max (5lb 12oz) and littler Harvey (3lb 2oz). Guess who ate all the pies!!
> Just realised - they are a week old today!!
>
> The boys were admitted to the neonatal unit at Wexham and are probably there
> for another few weeks. I was kicked out of hospital on Monday so are days
> are now spent commuting between home and Wexham. We tend to get there about
> 10am and leave about 6.30pm. A very different way to spend the day! We're
> so lucky that Tony has given up work (he managed less than a week of peace
> and quiet before I went into hospital, poor bloke) as we can do all the
> visits, etc together.
>
> Max is making really good progress and was taken out of his incubator
> yesterday - he's now in a proper baby cot and being fed masses by tube
> regularly! Little Harvey is our worry but he's definitely making progress.
> Their main concern is his ability to deal with food etc as his little tummy
> is under-developed. For now he seems to be making progress each day which
> is fantastic - they've just started to tube feed him so he's not constantly
> hungry!
>
> So, that's what we've been up to. Once things settle down into some kind of
> a routine I'll give you a call - promise!
>
> What about you - how's down regging going? All on track? I've been
> thinking about you and if you have the time, I'd love to hear an update.
> I'm keeping everything crossed for you!
>
> Lots of love
> Helen, Max & Harvey
> xx
>
