What to do after Embryo Transfer

Post by ARG »

Hi All.

I have just had my embryo transfer on my 2nd IVF attempt. On my first attempt I stayed in bed for 3 days, only getting up to go to the toilet and meals etc. Should I do something different this time. I am currently relaxed on my Couch, legs up with computer on lap and watching television. I intend to stay like this for a few hours and then tomorrow just gentle "pottering" around. I am going back to work on Monday. Is this enough rest. Should I be doing anything else??

Yes, Any experienced IVF's advice would be good. No computer well off my lap, either on legs on the pillow next to me. Trying to decide what good food I want to eat for dinner but that is dependant on what DH can cook!!!! Good Luck

Just wanted to wish you both the best of luck with your 2ww wait.
I had 3 cycles, 2 fresh and 1 frozen.

With all my 3 attempts i followed the same advice from my clinic(alot of clinics say different things)
I had complete bed rest for a full 3 days!! then after that just very gentle pottering about, no lifting, no real exercise, ect ect.
I believe positive attitude really really helps too.

By the way im now nearly 22weeks pregnant with twins...so something worked.

Goodluck, and keep us posted.
