Hey Donna
Every now and then I think "I can't believe we are doing all of this". I am fine with it all now but I just never thought that we would be going down this road. The only thing that I'm not going to enjoy is the secret part of it all. Our parents know but that is it. I guess you just hope that your child doesn't look to different from you!

Kery,
I am with you! That thought came to mind often as well. These days our daughter looks more like me as time goes by and truthfully not unlike my husband though either, so it really worked out. I guess I like to share our thoughts/fears on this in the event anyone is stressing out over any of this themselves.

Kery how are you doing? Did you get an appointment with your doctor set up yet?

Hi Donna
Thanks for that! I'm sure it will work out in the end. My u/s and doctor app is on the 21st. You must be excited starting the adoption process.

Tanya, I'm loving your babies names. I really feel for you carrying around those bubs. I have had friends that have had twins and they were huge at the end of there pregnancy. I hope you are getting enough rest?

Su, you sound like me. Since starting the ivf my af is always late and it's so hard to plan any cycles when you don't know when it will turn up.

Donna
You are so right about life presenting itself with uncertainess and surprises!! Crazy...It is a whole new experience. All of this infertility stuff is and you never know what to expect. That is neat how your daughter resembles you and your DH....that is neat. I am looking forward to seeing my little babies and what they look like. My sons were born with no hair at all. Wondering if these babies will have some...hummmm oh the thoughts.....

Kery
The rest factor is rough these days. It really is. I am so uncomfortable. Especially because both babies are head up. That is really not working out for my shape! the heads are supposed to be down. I keep telling them that but they are not listening!!! LOL

That is all for me. Cant move....

Oh Tanya

Hi everyone!

HI Squeezan,

How did the scan go?

Kery,

Not long until you start the meds!

Donna,

How's the paperwork going?

Tanya,

The way I see it, babies are a combination of all ancestral genetics, plus with environmental influences they'll probably end up looking like you and acting like DH anyway. This is what I'm hoping with my baby anyway - my Dad's genetic markers seem to be very strong as you can notice them in his offspring and in my brother's offspring. And my DH's personality, particularly his sense of humour, would rub off on anyone living with him for a week, let alone years and years!

As for me, feeling a LOT better - decided to (slightly) ignore the doctor's instructions and use antibiotics straight away rather than waiting - and I filled the second script too - something that I don't generally do but I felt I needed to this time.

Still looking for houses - have 2 to look at this afternoon - really hoping one of them is THE one, and THE one that the landlord accepts us and our pets. I can't believe how long this is taking - oh well, God grant us the perfect house today!

I've also got to chase up IVF and find out when the sperm comes out of quarantine to a) pay for the next 6 months and b) find out whatever counselling we have to do to get it over and done with so that we can start next year.

It also coming up to report time so I will be having a fun Sunday and the rest of the week marking work and coming up with report comments. I've also got to find time to do the usual household chores. Oh well, the usual chaos in my life!

Hope you are all travelling well!

Hi Gargy
I'm glad that you are starting to feel better. I know trying to find a house is so stressful. When we moved to Australia we went looking for houses. At the open homes there were so many people also looking (around 30). We are starting to build a house in a few months so it will be ready in about 10-12 months.

Did they give you a approx time that the sperm would be in quarantine? Why they even do that is beyond me!! God don't they realise how long the process has been already!!

Hi Gargy
The scan went well thanks - it took for ever this time as they couldn't work out what was happening on the left side. Whether I had 2 follies overlapping or 1 very weird shaped one, they decided it was 2 in the end. As the nurse said - I've never been straight forward :D
Anyway, I'm not quite cooked yet but progressing well with a 14/15mm each side plus a 12 and a couple of 9's. Hopefully I'll be ready by Monday.
I had a lttle panic yesterday at the thought of 3 or 4 mature follies. Whilst I love the idea of twins it sure would be hard on my own and more than that really scary
Good luck with the house hunting, I know it can be really stressfull.

Trans - Hope you are ok and not too uncomfortable.

Donna - I've been seeing a homeopath every 6 weeks or so for the last few months. I'd had a couple of cancelled cycles at the beginning 'cos I didn't ovulate and a friend suggested it might help. I don't know what I take - she just gives me some powder to add to a bottle of water and I drink it for a week (Actually sounds quite dodgy when you put it like that :D ). It's hard to tell if its working as I've been on meds as well but its supposed to treat the whole body and other things have improved, such as chronic back ache.
I hope things are moving along for you in the adoption process. Good luck

Hi Su
Sounds like you're well on your way!! I really hope this is the one for you this time. We need to hear of some BFP's.

Just a question to everyone. Do you release more than one egg when doing a iui? Sorry if it's a dumb question. I know the in's and out's of ivf but not iui's.

Hi Kery
I released one egg this time (had 2 others, but they weren't fully ready). I don't remember how was in 2005 - something about 2-3, I guess. I am questioning now, if I have lazy ovaries?
I am still awaiting for my DH morphology results. I have never thought it would take so long time - more than 10 days!!! So nurse called yesterday and told to wait until Monday, when results will be available. She added it wouldn't be late to start treatment for the next IUI cycle. But I am having doubts - Monday will be the 5th day of my cycle. I started meds in October on day 3. I have decided for myself to skip this month :(

Kery - I've been trying to get more than 1 egg to release for iui but failing most months. I think the first cycle with 100mg clomid I had 2 but all the others I've just had one. That's why they increase my dose of menopur for this final go and it looks like its worked and I'll have at least 2 this time. I think my clinic would cancel if I had more than 4 so its a fine line trying to get the dose right.

elca - what meds are you on? I know some places do clomid on days 5 to 9 so it may not be too late. Not sure about injections, I've usually started them on day 2 but this cycle they let me start day 3 as I hadn't been able to contact them in time.

You can totally understand my misery then...with your ds's feet in your ribs!!! Yikes! I measured 45 weeks today at the clinic! I could have told them that! I feel like a house! Good luck with your house. Building for me was so stressful!!! I hated it. I told DH next time I will find one I can live in that is already built! LOL You can release more than one egg at a time with IUI for sure! It depends on how many follies you have that are "ripe" for the releasin'!!!! Su is right. It is a fine line. You want a few for good chances but you dont want a ton! My clinics limit is 4 unless you agree to selective reduction if you get pg with more than twins.

Gargy
How exciting that your time is soon approaching! That is really exciting girl! We have come a long way with you and I am so happy about you getting your chance finally!!! Woo Hoo! I hope that you were able to make some headway with the house situation. I really do. It stinks to not know where to live at!!!

Su
Glad to see that things are coming along well with your follies...are you a difficult patient? LOL with crazy follies? Embrace the idea of twins! Even know I feel like crap I would not change it for anything. If I knew then what I know now I would still have had them put both back in! It is a blessing. And I call it my little two for one deal! LOL

I have updated my web page for you to get a look see and to read about my 29 weeks appt today!! I also posted more 3D ultrasound pics that they did today. www.thejourneyforbaby.blogspot.com

Hi - sorry, this post is going to be all about me, but....

After 5 weeks of looking for a new home to rent....

WE FINALLY HAVE A NEW HOME!!!!

-Pets no problem
- All the things that we asked for!
- In the right price rang!

Thanks to God and all his spirit helpers, including my BFT, for answering our prayers!

Thanks to everyone who sent positive thoughts along our way!

It was like the stories you hear - we found it and inspected it at the last minute - filled in the forms when sitting in the car, and the paperwork was photocopied 5 minutes before the real estate closed...

...and the real estate and landlord said yes!!

I AM SO HAPPY!!!
