hello, i have something to comment, my husband is on abstinence for about 2 weeks and on friday is egg collection and sperm collection, at the clinic they told us no to empty the sperm sacs as it is too late.. and on the day collection my husban will have to suply 2 samples. I am worried... they didnt talk to us about that we are a bit stressed...

Lucienus......they normally want the sample to be between 3-5 days old, in my case when they called me to let me know we had to trigger and that ER was going to be 2 days later (like in your case today), the nurse did tell me to have my husband empty that day so he would have fresh sperm. But if your clinic told you not to, then I don't know, did you tell them he has been on abstinence for 2 weeks?, if you did and they still told you not to then they must know why they are doing it, if you didn't tell them, then I would call and let them know to see if they change their mind in terms of emptying today or not.

It all went ok, out of my 8 eggs collected they only could fertilised 1, which was very dissapointed as sperm might have been the cause... we did icsi and rate of fertilisation is shocking... anyway, I have my beautiful embryo transfered and just waiting for the 2 weeks for the great news. Thanks for taking time replying. I do appreciate it!
