Anyone else stimming for Egg Retrieval early November?

Thank you Nicaliw! I'm so glad that I joined this forum. I think it has really helped me with my worries, anxiety, etc. Thanks to everyone for answering my questions and sending support.

Congrats Nicaliw on your two blastocyst!! I hope you're feeling better. My discomfort from the ET went away about 3 days after the ET.

You're right Nicaliw, I have to get my mind off waiting for symptoms to show up. The nurse told me the same thing. Whatever happens, happens. Everything happens for a reason, right?

I'm taking progesterone and estradiol shots now. Well, my hubby is administering them. Anyone else have to do these? The progesterone shot is a breeze, but the estradiol one (I've only had 1 of these so far) leave a lasting soreness. Anyone experiencing the same??

Nicaliw, CONGRATULATIONS! That's great news. I have my fingers crossed for you...well, for all of us. I am testing the day before you. Yay!

Ann D - I haven't gotten as good as you typing on my side. I have to put my computer on my legs to type, then I move it back to the side of the bed. I've got one more day of bedrest. I'm going to get up Thursday. I'll work from home that day, but I'll at least be up and about. My lower back has been bothering me, but I think that's from laying around. I too am taking progesterone shots and tonight I mix some delestrogen in with it (it supposedly helps to prevent mis-carriage). DH has been doing mine, but I think I am going to try and do it myself either tonight or tomorrow night. He has to go back to work on Thursday and will be gone until Sunday, so I won't have anyone to do it for me. Not sure how I'll do it myself, but there's got to be a way...right? When do you test?

i went in for after stim with follistim 150iu and only had one good follicle 10.7mm and some small ones there. estrogen level was 289.3. Doc wants to cancel due to poor response. ANy hope or similar experiences with success. Need encouragement at this point and about to lose it,

nwquiz - how long have you been stimming? I was stimming for 6 days and on my first u/s had only 2 follies, both tiny. E2 level was only 59. On day 8, still 2 follies and E2 level of 150. They increased my menopur and I ended up stimming for 15 days total. They finally decided to do the retrieval, even though I only had one follie that measured about 18, the rest were all under 10. Long story short, my doc never gave up on me (in part probably because I kept telling them I didn't want to quit), and we ended up getting 5 eggs, of which 3 fertilized and were transferred. I'm now in the middle of my 2ww. There are lots of women on this site who have had their cycles canceled, and I really think it depends a lot on the clinic you are going to. I've heard of some that won't do ER without at least 3 good follies...I consider myself lucky that mine wasn't like that. My point - don't give up hope! A day or 2 can make all the difference. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they don't cancel your cycle. Is this your first one? Will you try again if they do?

ok.. my RE just called..was thinkin we would do ET today.. but this is what I have 2 7 cell.. 2 5 cell.. 4 4cell 1 3 cell.. they said they wanted to wait and see how they do till Friday which will be day 5.. but shouldnt they be 8 cell today ??

danyel, I would take that as a potentially good thing. If your embryos look like they are dividing well enough to make it to blastocycts thats great! Blastocycts are more likely to make it which is why they normally transfer less at that stage. I did a 5 day transfer of 2 blasts yesterday and couldn't be happier. Hang in there.....another plus is it cuts your wait time for your preg test after transfer, you only have to wait until 2 weeks after the retrieval.

Hi everybody.

Sorry i was away all these days..but for a good cause.

I had my transfer on day3 sunday. The embryologist rand me on sunday morning saying that they've got 2 beautiful embryos and should not wait till day5. We tranfered 2 because they were the best ones. The other 10 stayed to see if they can make it to blastocyst.

From sunday till yesterday i was at home relaxing.Actually first day was alright but second day was so BORED!!!
I was so bloated that none of my trousers would fit me!

On tuesday they rang saying that only 2 have survived to blastocyst;1 is good quality and the other is not so good but they will freeze both of them.

I've noticed that i have lost my appetite.

Anybody feeling the same way???

The 2ww are like eternity!

Happy 2ww to my buddies and happy cycle to the rest of you.

Hi Anie,

Glad to hear things are going well. My test day is the same as yours!!! YAY, how exciting. I transfered 2 blasts on Tuesday.

I also have lost my appetite a little but for me its because I'm so bloated I don't feel like there's room for any food. I'm not feeling any other symptoms yet, I am trying so hard not to think about that. Although, last night I did feel crampy and it would have been the time they say implantation takes place, I have heard some girls taking about cramping due to implantation so now I'm curious. Maybe it was just a coincidence!?

Like you, I didn't have many embryos that were freeze quality. Out of 16 that fertilized, we transfered 2 and had 4 good quality blasts frozen, which means 10!!!!!! didn't make it. That sounds like a LOT to me, but theres no point freezing the ones that arrested. I guess thats still 4 potential babies....doesn't sounds so bad when you think of it like that.

ONE WEEK TODAY!!!!!!!! TEST DAY!!!! Are you going to POAS a couple days earlier? I know I am, Inpatience is my middle name.

Anyone else feeling any possible symptoms yet???? I swore I wasn't going to dwell on symptoms but what else do we do during the wait???

Yes,i agree with you; i think i had lost appetite because there was no room for food.

My clinic said that they only freeze those that can reach the blasocyst so from 12 fertilized ended up with 2 for freeze.

I will only test on the day although i will be dieing to do it earlier.Lol

Hi Anie! Welcome back!

Glad to hear everyone is doing well. I wish I could say I have lost my appetite like you gals, but I have been eating non-stop while on bedrest. I think it's purely out of boredom...nothing to do with the fact that I'm actually hungry. Well, I am on day 6 past retrieval (3 days past transfer)...they say yesterday my embies should have made it to blast and today implantation should start to occur. I'm dying to feel something...anything...a cramp, some spotting...but nothing yet.

Hang in there girls...I think most of us have a week, or less, to go til test day! YAY!!! It's weird, I thought for sure I would be dying to pee on a stick all week long, but I'm finding that I really have no desire to. I think I want to wait until they tell me on Wed. Although...I could change my mind between now and then.

OK, I think the wait is going to tip me over the edge....its so hard. Every little symptom I read into and get excited then I think about how it could be something else and get down about it as if its all over and I still have 6 days to wait until ny beta!!!!! Is anyone else going crazy or having any symptoms?
BTW, if anyone is thinking of poas I recomend peeonastick.com There's a lot of info on here about different tests available and people's experiences with them. Then again, maybe you all have more patience than me and will be waiting for your blood test
I hope everyone is doing great and keeping your sanity intact way better than I am.
Just out of curiosity, anyone have kinda sore/tender nipples? I just started getting that today. Also had cramping yesterday and some headaches and nausea. I hope this is not another one of those hoaxes my body is so good at.

I'm getting overly paranoid about my "symptoms" as well. I have 5 days left and with every little twinge I think I feel I think "is this good or bad?" I don't feel breast soreness or nausea right now. Nicaliw... that might be a good sign that you are. I hear so many different stories about symptoms. Some women who have become pregnant feel like you just mentioned and others say they don't feel a thing. It seems like every moment I am thinking of this. I often talk to my embryos and tell them to "hang on tight". I keep debating whether to take the a hpt. I don't think I will. I rather just torture myself longer. I feel if I do test on my own, I may jinx myself. I know that may sound funny, but it's just me. I might change my mind when my time comes closer. We will see...

Yep I'm right there with you, every twinge (which normally turns out to be gas) is analysed and one minute I feel, yeah no af so I must be pregnant and then I get a cramp and all of a sudden I'll never be a Mum! Crazy crazy...

Cramps light today, am very very nervous about tomorrow, I feel sick! Am trying to prepare myself in case it is bad news as don't want to be a jibbering wreck tomorrow if it is BFN...

To be honest I just want to know either way or I will go insane, if it is BFN I'm gonna have a break for 6 months. I just want to forget about what I am eating and drinking for just a little while.... Unless of course it is BFP and then I'll do whatever it takes to keep embie safe and well...

Today im having cramping feeling. I feel like AF is there any minute. I have difficulty to stay seated...maybe because of bloated tummy....and my trousers are bit tight there...

I felt nausea on 2nd of transfer but that was just a one-off. I'm not feeling any other side effects apart from cramp now and then. The whorst is to drive. Sometimes feel breathless.

My first few days gone quick but now i feel that the thursday (poas day!!!) is ages away!!! My clinic said that i should use ONLY the clearblue test and do it in the morning. Oh, and not to use the digital ones.

I would like to ask you one thing. I saw that you wrote on another thread 3dp5dt. What does this means?! Sorry i still dont know all the codes...
