I test the day before Thanksgiving, but I have told my family that I may not know until the week following. I didn't want the pressure of everyone calling me all day on Wednesday asking if I have gotten the call yet. And this way, negative or positive, DH and I will have a chance to absorb the news together and in private. :-) I figure whatever the news...I will likely tell them on Thanksgiving. I've always thought it bad luck to spread the news until you get through the touchy first trimester - but since they all know we are doing IVF, I guess the cat will be out of the bag early. :D How about you? Are you going to share the news?

MRS. CORNYBABY!

Well, I kinda feel like everyone will know the outcome based on the mood we are in. BUT, I really wanted it to be a Christmas Surprise!!!!!!!! I keep thinking of creative ways to tell my MIL and family. Do you have any ideas?

How are you feeling? I felt waves of nausea when I was on bedrest. Have you felt that? I went back to work today. So... I was on 4 days of bedrest. Get this... someone had the nerve to ask me when I get the results. Strange being I only told my boss and one other person! Hmm. Not cool.

You asked me before if we did assisted hatching and turns out Sharon said they didnt have to do it so we are getting a credit. YEE HAW!!!!!!
I really hope this works so we can use that 450 towards the ultrasounds! :)

Guess what time my bloodtest is on Sat. 7:30am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What the heck! That is so early.......

OH, I have been meaning to ask you ... What do you do for work? Are you planning on being a stay at home mom?

I would have loved to make it a Christmas surprise but unfortunately, I'm not good at keeping secrets, so just about everyone I know knows what we are doing. And my mom is a bit of a blabber mouth too, so I am sure all the aunts and uncles know. Oh well.

As for my symptoms, I haven't had any yet. I was reading last night that it takes until about days 6-8 for implantation to occur, which I guess makes sense because it doesn't even get to blastocyst stage until day 5 (which for me, is today). Hopefully I will start feeling something soon...I need some sort of sign that the little guys are doing what they are supposed to be doing.

My goal is to be a stay at home Mom, yes. I started saving about a year ago, in hopes that when we are parent's I will be able to take the first year off, but it's tough and makes me very nervous. We have tons of friends who do it, and we sit around and wonder how, with how expensive life is these days. I sure want to try though. Not to mention, my job requires me to travel out of state about 50% of the time. Which of course, makes it tough to raise a baby.

How about you?

Hello CornyBaby, I read your post and wanted to encourage you and say that, the bible says "speak those things as though they were" so it is ok to speak pregnancy over yourself. I am on stim day 1 and have already bought a bag full of girl clothes.(faith moves God). So yes speak your baby into the world. I have the greatest testimony ever that I am still in aw so please be encouraged......

My plan is to take 4-5 months off and then going back to work.
I will use all my vacation, short term disabiltiy, and FMLA leave or whatever to be home with my babies. :-)

During open enrollment there was an option for us to pay a little extra out of each paycheck for an extended short term disability ... check to see if you can get that.

I am hoping to work one day from home each week though once I go back. My boss is really understanding. My house is 10 minutes from work which is nice too. things will fall in place for all of us. I truly believe what is meant to be ... will be!

Shametr... I would love to hear more...

nicaliw, good luck on your test ... you better think of how you are going to tell everyone bec I am sure it will be POSITIVE!!!!!!!!!

XOXO

That's good advice Gekasbaby...I'll check out my benefits. How are you feeling today? I can't believe your 2ww is almost over!!! I am starting to get really worried because I am not feeling anything. Absolutely nothing. No cramps. No spotting. I'm worried my little guys aren't going to implant.

Cornbaby... practically every post you've typed I can totally relate to. I have my test before Thanksgiving as well. I haven't told many people that we tare doing IVF except our parents and a few close friends. And they don't know that the results will be that soon. I pray that my test turns positive, because we would tell our family the next day. I keep imagining how we would tell them, but I don't want to get too over-excited in case we get news we don't want to hear.

I have felt NO symptoms. I was feeling bloated a couple of days ago, but nothing in awhile now. My mood changes from being excited to worried. Last night I think I hit a low. I was tearing up because I wasn't feeling anything, and thought, "What if this doesn't work?" My DH has been so supportive. He truly believes this is it. I don't want to let him down. I keep rubbing my belly and telling the little guys to hang on. Anyway, reading your posts are helping me cope with my anxiety and worries. I am feeling more positive now and want to continue feeling that way. Thanks everyone for sharing their stories and thoughts!!

Ann D - we're just two peas in a pod, huh? I am trying so hard to stay positive, but it is SO hard when I have no symptoms. I feel totally normal...as a matter of fact, a couple of times today I have had to stop myself from running down the stairs or picking up something heavy. Without any symptoms, I forget I'm still fragile. BUT, so far this process has been one surprise after another...thought we'd get one egg, got 5. Thought none would fertilize...3 did. So hopefully, there's one more surprise in store for us. One minute I think it's ok that I don't feel anything, and then the next I convince myself that I know my body and I know it's going to be a BFN. It's a vicious little cycle of emotions.

I, like you, don't know what I would have done without this site and all the great people on it. DH is just as thrilled, as he knows how much all of the wonderful ladies on it are helping me cope. I just wish I would have found it sooner.

Here's hoping for a little something extra to be thankful for this year!!!
