I know it is boring Vicky, but you are right it is for a good cause!! Have DH pick up some gossip magazines and trashy novels. Paint your nails, catch up on the soaps... Everything will be ok and you'll be back to work before you know it!!

Hello all! Thanks so much for all of your encouraging words. It means so much!! When I read your stories from the past about others being pregnant around you, I have to laugh as they just sound so much about how I feel. However, I am back to feeling positive now and I go for my scan tomorrow morning. I have been on Lupron for going on 8 days now. No AF yet. Hopefully tomorrow. If all goes well tomorrow, I will start my meds on Saturday. I usually react very well to the meds, so hopefully I will only be stimming for 7 days before ER. My entire body hurts right now as I did this horrendous weight lifting class at the gym last night and oh wow - I am not what I used to be!! I turn 37 in a couple of weeks (the 24th) and I can feel myself aging by the day! :? ugghhh....

Vicky - Bless your heart - some think bedrest is great. Personally it is the first step to sending me to the crazy house if it happens to me. I am total Type A personality and I swear if it happens to me, I will go out of my mind! :) You have got to get some great DVD's, books, and magazines. Watch some Oprah, Jerry Springer, etc. Ha! :D Hang in there!!!! :D

Angie - so happy to hear you are still doing so well! Have you figured out what you are going to name your son?

Jenn - thanks for your words as well. It means so much to be able to talk to you girls! Just a few more days and hopefully I will be on the bandwagon with the ever-so-lovely menopur and follistim shots. My husband said that this better be one hell of a kid with all the money we are spending and all we are going through! :D

Fee - how are you??

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Hello everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tina....did AF arrive?, are you starting your meds on Saturday or not?. That weight lifting class that you mentioned sounds tough!!!, just reading about it hurts

Sassy.....where are you??????

Robbo and Amy also....were are you guys????????

Fee.....how's little Nogs doing?, still vampire schedule with him?

Angie...how are you feeling?, when is your next scan?? How's the new house progressing?, any more drilling where they shouldn't???

As for me, I went today for another scan, the baby is doing great, it was such a relief!! (I mean, I think I am going to get nervous before every scan......hopefully not!!). The hematoma is still there, but the baby seems not to care about it  , so I am still on bedrest until I see my OB in 2 weeks!!.
I graduated from my RE today, it was kind of sad, I already know everybody there and have a great relationship with everybody, so it was kind of a happy/sad moment. I have to make an appt with the new OB now (which I have never met, so will see).

Waiting to hear from you girls!!!!!!!!!!

Vicky--I'm so glad your scan went well. Moving on to the next doctor is a big step! Congrats again. How's bed rest treating you? I've got to tell you, as a very, very, very sleep deprived person I'm very jealous of your time in bed!

I tried to go shopping today as we're having family pics taken next week and I need outfits for us all but Lucy wasn't having it. Oh well, guess we could just try the naked approach. Those would be very memorable Christmas Cards, huh!!!!

Hope everyone else is well. It's Thursday, so we're getting closer to the Weekend!

Hey girls - great news with the scan Vicky - glad baby is doing great.

Tina - you are next in line for some action - we'll be looking forward to hearing how the stimming goes.

Meg - I can't wait to see the Christmas photos - you'll look such a happy family, that I am sure

Fee - how is motherhood treating you - does Noggs have a name yet?

Hi Jenn, Sassy ( hope you're enjoying your break from all this), Amy, Robbo.

So nearly the end of the week - I have felt a bit blurggghh all week, tired, hungry and a bit anxious. Mainly cos we have all this extra things happening in our lives as well, ie the new house and we are moving in 3 weeks. Talk about bad timing but it was always going to happen! DH is doing all the project management with the trades people and is being a star but it is still stressful when things don't go to plan. And I have to keep everything up and running in our current place. OH well - I Had better stop moaning - it will be better when we have moved in.

Next Friday is my scan. The final one with DR D. I could stay with him all the way through but my choice has been to have a change of scenery, new Dr and new hospital. I am excited to have a change - it's a new phase and a break from the IVF Clinic. Hooray. So I have a scan with Dr D and then immediately after have my first appointment with Dr J.

Better do some work girls - hope you're all doing fine.

Hi! Just a quick post - AF arrived yesterday and I had my date with the dildocam. All such perfect timing. I am still on Lupron and start stimming on Saturday - whoo hoo! Everything is progressing nicely. :D

Went out with some old business associates tonight - 2 glasses of wine felt really nice. Better drink while I can, huh? Hopefully this month will be the one!!! :D :D

Vicky/Angie - glad you are both doing well!!!

Hi Tina - hope your first day of stims went wll. ER will be here before you know it. We'll be looking forward to your first folli update.

Well I am still eating like a pig - always hungry - if I'm hungry I have to eat, if I'm qeasy I have to eat.

I did make an effort and go for a little bike ride yesterday which was nice and today I did yoga, although my teacher is very good and only lets me certain poses - none of the hard abs exercises - yay!

This Pm we have a 2nd birthday party to go to - it will be strange going along - the first kiddie occasion we have been to since we found out. They are DH's friends and I am not particularly close to them - but it will definitely be easier than last year!

Hope all the sistas are having a great w/e.

Hi girls. Long time, no post.

Fee: Congrats! Nogs had quite the entry. I imagine he felt the need to show you two who is boss:-).

Meg: I love, love, love the pictures. It is very hard for me to believe that it was a year ago that we were cycling at the same time...

Vicky: so are you still on bedrest? I think you said you are until this week sometime. Are you bored out of your gourd? Have you become a regular Jerry Springer watcher??? Do tell! I am glad to hear that the embryo-who-has-not-been-named (or have they???) is paying no mind to the hematoma.

Jenn: glad to hear your US went well. What company did you have???

Angie: So glad to hear your US went well and that the wombat is growing like a champ. Must have been quite reassuring to see that little flicker!

Tina: how are stims going???? I imagine you are due for blood work in the next day or two...

One of my SILs is being induced today. Her baby is ginormous (her dh is 6'6") so they are inducing her early. Fingers are crossed here that all goes as planned.

I have been absent now for a few weeks. Went through this weird time after my last retrieval. My emotions were all over the spectrum and I needed some time away. It is strange to have done my LAST stims... but not have a transfer for awhile. The time off has been/will be very good for me, but it is hard sometimes not to have any answers yet. I go from being very hopeful... to wanting to stim a few more times to have more 2pns in the freezer before thawing (really I could never have enough to feel confident  )... and back to hopeful. Now that things (i.e., my hormones) are calming down, so are my mood swings. I am trying to concentrate on the huge Thanksgiving meal I am preparing on Thursday (nervous!) and then Christmas "stuff" after that. Before I know it, I will be ready to transfer... hopefully at least a few pounds lighter than I am right now.

On a different note... Because no matter how much I seem to enjoy beating myself up lately... it is ever so much more fun to beat up on someone else...

The ******* Update:
Now, I imagine you thought you had heard the end of the story, right? ******* does bastardly things, gets locked up with other bastards then as the ******* he is, asks us for more money so he doesn't have to step on the spooge of fellow bastards.

Ohhhhh, but you would be mistaken.

FIL went to visit The ******* last week. The only family member who has seen him since his arrest 2 months ago. Apparently he was quite nonchalant about the whole "screwed my brother over and now I am going to the big house to be Bubba's girlfriend" thing. FIL asked him about money, and The ******* told him he has some money they took off him when he was picked up. AND... as we in the Sassy household suspected was the case... The ******* had Dept of Correction-issued plastic shoes on. Plastic shoes. Plastic shoes that could be worn in the shower. Damn, if it was me, I would be showering in my plastic shoes instead of walking on spooge. Just me.

So in summary... Turns out The ******* has >$100 in his jail account. Money he had on him when the cops used the loudspeakers and the SWAT team to get him out of his house while snipers in the helicopter above looked on. Yeah, that money. DESPITE that money... The ******* begged and attempted to guilt us into sending him a few hundred dollars. Ummmm. Is it just me, or does that make the whole "Even though I screwed you over thereby messing up my life you owe it to me to send me money to make it just a little bit better" letter even that much more offensive?

On a more positive note (for us at least  ...) There are new charges being brought against The *******. It is unclear yet whether or not these charges had to do with us or another one of his victims. We should find out in the next few days. Lock the boy up!!!!

Sassy great to hear from you! I was thinking the other day that I couldn't believe it had been a year since already since my first postings on the Nov thread. Such a cliche, but time does fly. I understand what you mean about your emotions being out of control--sounds like you're having a totally normal reaction to things. Good luck cooking Thanksgiving dinner. I must admit that I would never attempt that--still don't think of myself as being adult enough to cook that meal! (Never mind that I'm 30 and have a baby--I'm still a little kid when it comes to cooking. I need my mom to do it!)

It's gorgeous here today. It has been yucky and cold but today it's 65 and sunny. Great. My dog is getting groomed, but as soon as he gets home it's off to the park for a nice long walk! Hope all is well with everyone! Meg

No you didn't Meg! I'm still here! I guess all the sistas are busy doing Thanksgiving things - we don't celebrate anything like that here - it sounds like such a great time over there.

Sassy - you are cooking up another one of your culinary delights then - mmm! - perhaps if I put my nose to the wind I will smell the delicious aromas from here - what is on the menu this time?

So happy holidays to all the sistas.

Fee - how is motherhood treating you? We're looking forward to the naming of the Noggin.

Scan for me tomorrow - hope the wombat is still Ok and hope my new OB is handsome - I am so tired of Dr D and his big moustache!

Nearly 9pm - soon be time for bed for me - no energy left!

Let's wake this thread up again

Angie.....good luck tomorrow with your scan, let us know if your new doctor is handsome

Fee....how are you doing?, we need a Nogs report ASAP, we miss you guys!!

Meg....how is Lucy doing?, is she letting you sleep already?......I guess it's too soon for that huh......Did you take your dog for a nice walk?, how I miss having nice walks with Sanson, he must think I became a lazy couch potatoe that doesn't want to walk him anymore

Sassy....so nice to hear from you again!!!. I understand your need for some time away, all this IVF thing is full of emotions. But you have tons of embryos there, you don't need anymore than that, don't worry about that, if your RE thought you needed more he would have said so, from what you talk about him he is very straigthforward with you, so if he is ok, you should be ok  .

Jenn.....where are you???

Tina.....how are you doing?, when is your ER and ET?, do you know yet??

Well girls, I had some bleeding again yesterday, so went for another scan today. Thankfully everything is great, so I am relieved and can eat turkey very happy tonight  .

For all of those living in the US, happy Thanksgiving!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sistas, just letting you know the 8 week scan is fine! yay! Can you believe it though? I had an abdomen scan! not a "you know what" scan! Dr D was perfectly happy with everything but the picture was just a grainy blob as they are never as good through the ab!

Now I have to wait a whole 4 WEEKS for the all important 12 week scan which will be combined with blood tests at week 10. Now I understand why our recent preggo sistas went to all those lengths to "scam a scan" - any tips on how to do this, jenn, fee, meg? Going from 3 or 4 scans a week to every 4 weeks is just terrible!

Today I parted company with Dr D. We shook his hand and said thanks. He said he would come and see me when I had the baby…..! My new OB is nice and chatty, Dr J is his name. He apologised for being dishevelled but he had had no sleep - having delivered 3 babies overnight - Melbourne is officially in the middle of a baby boom - I hope he has time for me! Anyway I think we will get along fine - he is alot more forthcoming with information which is good.

I am so glad it's Friday - I always feel better at the weekend. Tomorrow we have a bbq which will be lots of fun.

So enjoy your turkeys and pumpkin pie - it's making me hungry just thinking about it!
