Does anyone else feel like me (help)

Post by bubblymichelle »

Morning,

Well for the last few days I have felt uncomfortable, not bad but just not right. I know that the baby is growing and obviously the room is becoming smaller. I seem to be carrying very high up. I have an ache down my side but I think this may be from when I keep coughing because my cold as not gone completely yet.

I am suffering quite bad with heartburn as well, I had it all day yesterday and I had it in the night. When I went to the doctors they prescribed Pepced which is similar to Gaviscon and it does help for about an hour and then its back again.

Last night I just didn't sleep very well at all, kept tossing and turning. I just didn't feel comfortable no matter which way I lay. People advised me to put a pillow between my legs and one so my belly can rest on it but I tried it and I hated it, just made me feel worse.

I am getting precious pains down below also but I think this is from the baby.

I know I am going on abit but just wanted to share this with you.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Love & Hugs
Shell.
27wks pg
Hi Shell ..... it was so strange to see your post when I came into the office today cos last night I was awake all night with heartburn for the first time!!! I've had a lot of stress at work lately too and occasionally I suffer with this, my heart beating too fast and I had this as well all night - all in all a really grotty time and didnt sleep a wink!

So, had this morning off and have been at work half an hour or so - so I logged on to read that you have been going through the mill too!!
It will all be worth it we know!!

I'm going to get some gaviscon cos the heartburn is still there although not as intense as during the night which I now will try to ease by using some of the methods recommended.

Take care shell - hope you're soon feeling a lot better. love Jo.XX

Blimey Jo - me too - for the first time ever, got home last night and felt all acidy - never had heartburn but DH is an expert so told me that's what it was. Hoping I'd get away with not having it!

Shell, don't worry - im finding it hard to get to sleep some nights, moving from side to side, then on my back but then it aches really badly and I have to move again. Have also had "stitch" type pains down my right side but they go after about 10 or so mins. I think its because all your insides get squished up into a small space as the baby grows, and it feels like you're running out of room. ITs the weekend coming up - cancel everything and make yourself have a good relax.

All the joys eh!!

Love

Rachel
x

Hi Shell,
When I was pregnant with my son I had heartburn that made me sick like you and a glass of cold milk helped me. Mine lasted until just after i had him and he was also bald as a badger so the old wives tale of lots of hair is not always true but try the milk and hang in there.
Take care and let me know how you go.
Tanya

hi Shlell,

I've been off sick since Thursday with a stinking cold - I thought you weren't supposed to get these things whilst pregnant.

I've not had any heartburn, but I cann't sleep at night due to being so uncomfortable. I do actually find that a small cushion between my legs does help, but I end up getting cramp on that side after about an hour, so wake up and turn over. With this cold though, I've been waking up every half hour, coughing and blowing my nose. That's why I took time off work as I am so knackered.

Not sure what I can suggest for the heartburn though. I read in one book that you should keep you head up slightly when you sleep, but who knows.

My friend told me that she didn't sleep well at the end - it's good practice though for all those sleepness nights we;ll be getting soon!

Alison xx

Morning Shell and chicks,
Sorry to read you've been so uncomfy. I'm a couple of weeks behind you (26 this Saturday) so haven't had any heartburn yet, but I've been having quite a lot of rib pain, but I think that's because I'm expanding!
I'm worried about piles! Haven't got any (thank God!) but I'm eating as much fibre as a hamster to prevent blockages!
I'm sleping with a pillow between my legs, but have you seen those long body pillows and wedges to go under your bump - try Blooming Marvellous or Mothercare as they're supposed to be good.

Hope everyone has a good week this week!
love sally xxx
PS am starting a new bog roll thread!
Me - severe endo, DH - poor sperm. First IVF ICSI Nov 02 neg. Second IVF/ICSI May 03 Positive.

Hi Everyone

Thanks for replying to my posts its nice to know I am not on my own and I don't mean that in a nasty way. If other people are feeling th same way I am feeling then least I know that there is nothing wrong. I have had a couple of better nights sleep so I can't complain, I wouldn't swap being pregnant for the world to be honest.

Sally I see you have started a new roll call on the bog paper it did make me laugh. I will do mine again on Thursday when I am 28wks and see what I measure.

Hows everyone doing weight wise???? I have been on the scales and nearly put 2 and half stone on.

Luv
Shell.
xx
