First Scan

Hi Everyone on the other side Feeling a bit lost, over the 2ww (last friday) and got a letter this morning to go for my first scan on 18 November. What is this scan - another internal like the treatment ones....what will it show at this early stage Marycam

Don't worry! Its completely normal, and will show whether there's one or two babies, and you should be able to see a heart beat(s) by that stage too. It just confirms that everything is where it should be! Congratulations. Love Rachel x

hi Marycam!!! You found the 'other side' then!! How exciting. When I went for my first scan I went with a full bladder and had an external scan (jelly on the tummy one). They couldn't find a second heartbeat so I had to have an internal scan too (after having a pee, obviously!!!) Its really exciting. We saw two black circles with a little white flicker in the middle and that is the heartbeat. Very special moment. I bet you can't wait. Try not to get too anxious, it will soon be the 18th! Keep drinking lots of water. I'm glad you plucked up the courage to post on this side!! love nikola.xxx
