Good to hear from you Babyb! Thanks for the congrats :)

I did have a high beta, but my RE never suggested multiples, so yes, I was surprised to see twins! We are so blessed, and we can't wait to find out the sexes!!! One more stepping stone to wait for!

I still have the all day/morning sickness. I just feel sick no matter what I do or eat. I too have indegestion a lot.

I have already gained 5 lbs. I am in maternity clothes already too. My RE said I was underweight to begin with, so I should gain more weight. I go to my first appointment with my obgyn on 11/5.

Keddie: I am so glad to hear you and your baby are doing fine. I know bleeding would scare the heck out me.

Christie: Thank you! Can't wait to hear how many you have!

Mom2b: Welcome and Congrats.

Lindsey: It looks like we are all pretty close in our due dates! I am due June 2nd! Although I know I will go early.

Meggs: So sorry to hear about the cysts. Hope all is well.

This is such an exciting journey for me and I am so thrilled to be sharing it with all of you!!!

Hi Girls, Thanks for thinking of me. I've been doing well, I've had morning sickness/all day really on and off. I had about three days where I had nothing and I got a ton of stuff done around the house! Feeling nauseous like that really knocks you on your butt!

So far no more bleeding for me. So I'm relieved about that,. we go in tomorrow for our 8 week ultrasound so I can't wait! If they hear that heartbeat this time that will be it for our specialist and we'll move on to my regular OBGYN. Things are moving along! They told me my due date would be June 6th.

I'm glad to hear you all are doing ok. so many twins! amazing! I'm sure having twins makes you get bigger a lot faster! I have gained a couple pounds within the last couple weeks and I already I feel like some of my pants are too tight so I've gone up a size. I have about 3 or 4 different sizes in my closet from my weight fluctuating so I should be good on pants for at least another month or two!
:D

Babyb, linsay and ready4baby, I"m so glad your little ones are doing well. What a relief it must be to hear heartbeats and get their sizes. How cool! My sister in law has twin girls that are almost 3 now and I thought it was so amazing watching her go thru the pregnancy. She wasn't even on any fertility drugs either but I remember her saying she thought she was bigger than with her first pregnancy and couldn't figure out why until her next ultrasound when they discovered two!

Take care girls and I'm sure I'll post in the next couple days after my appointment tomorrow. :)

I had my 8 week US and I "graduated" from my RE :( I mean, of course Im happy cause thats a major step in the right direction-however, i love them and they're office staff is amazing! .....but I know I'll be back at some point : ) Dr said everything looks great-I dont know what the HB was, but from 2.44mm at 6 weeks-he said its about 19.2-and that put me measuring around 8 weeks 5/6 days...so all looked well. He said i still have those cysts on my right ovary-however, they're (knock on wood) not causing me any troubles-I just have to keep activites to a minimum....
I have a nurse intake appt tomorrow at my OB office, and then will have to go for a 12 week appt and then every 4 weeks from there.....Its wierd that Im a "normal" or as normal as can be patient now.....

Keddie-let us know how your US goes...Im curious to see...we're almost on the exact same schedule-so this will be fun.

All you "twin mommies"....how great that you're doubly blessed and all is still going well-there are way too many of you that i cant possibly list and remember them all while im typing this-but keep us posted-i have twin nephews who are 4 and they're way too much fuN! : )

Sticky Sticky baby dust to all of you! Take care of you and the itty bitty's!

Well, I had my u/s today. I really don't know what to think. The good news is, there are 2 sacs. The bad news is, they aren't sure if they even see a yolk sac in them. She thought she saw a yolk sac in one, but not sure about the other. There is no fetal pole or heartbeat yet. I was so worried. The nurse was trying to tell me that it isn't uncommon, blah, blah, blah. I have to wait 2 weeks and 2 days before I go back for another u/s. I'm so upset right now. I don't know if I should be excited about having twins or preparing myself in case I lose them. I can't even handle the fact that I have to wait so long to find out. I think I might call them and see if I can go in next week. I want blood work done at the least. I'm 6 weeks and 2 days today.

Christie: For you own sanity and peace of mind, I think they should do another US at 7 weeks. I must confess, I'm not sure what it means when there are 2 sacs, but it is unclear whether there is a yolk sac (does this mean 2 implanted?). 6 weeks is very early, but the nurse's uncertainty would be enough to drive me crazy. I think they need to consider your emotions and let you jump in at 7 weeks -- may be too early for a hb, but I would think the extra week would make a big difference in terms of seeing a fetal pole and yolk sac -- just my humble, unprofessional opinion.

Whatever you do, DO NOT prepare for a loss. Keep a PMA! You do have 2 sacs and your betas have been good so something must be going on in there. You might just have late bloomers.

Best of luck and I'll be thinking of you. Call your RE and let us know what they say. Sending baby dust your way!

Christie, I'm so sorry. :( I would want that ultrasound too or even a second opinion. Did your doctor actually get to review the ultrasound also? if you are measuring a little early maybe it was just too soon to see a heartbeat... I couldn't really see the heartbeat on my first ultrasound and I was 5wks 4 days. The nurse did say she saw something very faint but I couldn't really see it. Did your doctors office give you any positive feedback at all about it? I can't believe they would make you wait two weeks.

Hang in there! We are all thinking of you!

I've been very nervous about today's ultrasound too, I've still been having some spotting and I don't like it. Hopefully that won't mean anything. I've been putting my husband "off" forever because I don't want to take any chances.

Christie, let us know if you can go in next week. I'll be praying for you!

Thanks so much girls. They called me back and I'm going in next Fri. I'll be 7 weeks and 4 days. They won't re-check my hcg or progesterone, which I think is strange. She said at this point, it wouldn't give them a definitive answer. I just want to make sure my hcg is still rising. Oh well, at least I got my u/s moved up a week. She said I'm getting plenty of progesterone between my body naturally making it and the supplements. I get nervous with the Crinone that I'm not doing it right. I'm sure I am I just like to worry :) I'm sooooo sick too. It's the only thing that is truly giving me hope. I figure as long as I'm sick, something is going on in there. It started last weekend and has gotten worse everyday. I'm not complaining, though. I think I'll freak out if it stops. I wish they didn't do u/s so early. They should wait until at least 7 weeks, if there is a chance they won't see what they want to see. Why make some of us stress out? I'm just praying that there are 2 healthy, strong heartbeats next week. It's so strange, because I feel like I can't even get excited that it's twins yet. Hopefully, the next week doesn't go by too slowly. Thanks again for all the positive advice. I really appreciate it.

Just wanted to give you ladies an update. It was good news this morning. I saw 2 heartbeats. One was 154 and the other was 167. They are measuring 7.6 weeks and 8 weeks. I'm actually 7 weeks, 4 days. Everything looked good. I can't believe it. I don't think it has hit me yet. I can't believe how stressed out I was. It was the most amazing feeling seeing those heartbeats. Thanks for all the kind words and positive advice. I really appreciated it.

Christie, I have been waiting to hear from you! I'm so thankful that your little ones are ok!!! That is so amazing!!! I was so hoping for two! We were extremely thrilled to see at least one little heart beating though!

Everything with me has been ok too. I got to see a heart beat after my 8 week appointment and I go in tomorrow to my regular OBGYN so see if we can "hear" a heartbeat. I will be 10 weeks this week. If so I can stop my progesterone shots. We will be glad to be finished with that!

How have you ladies been feeling? My queezyness has almost gone away. I only get it a little bit in the evenings now and it's pretty mild. I have been eating A LOT though! I've been already packing on some pounds!

Kelly,
I'm so jealous that you are feeling better. I've been so sick. I haven't thrown up yet, although I almost did last night. I just feel like I'm going to throw up all day. Some days are better than others. I'm dealing with it and I'm trying to eat as much as I can. I haven't gained any weight yet. I don't know if that's good or bad. I'm praying that it starts to go away at 10-12 weeks. That would be great. My first OB appt. is next Thur. I'll be 9.5 weeks. I can't wait to hear the heartbeat. That will be so amazing. I get to stop the Crinone gel a week from Sat. Yay!!! I'll be just about 10 weeks. I kind of wish I stayed on the shots, even though I hated them. I feel like I never know if I'm doing the gel right and it is gross. Oh well, I'm almost done. I feel like once my RE discharged me, I actually felt like
a normal pregnant person for the 1st time. That was the best day ever.

Have you all told everyone yet or are you waiting? I wanted to wait until the 1st trimester was over, but more and more people keep finding out. I feel like it's too early and things can still go wrong, but I guess I need to just let that go now. We are waiting until the holidays to tell my in-laws. We got a couple grandparent frames and we're going to put the ultrasound pics in them. They will be so surprised. They have no idea that we've been trying at all.

Christie,

It is a great feeling when they release you. :)

I was supposed to have my first apt. with my regular obgyn today and last night they called and canceled it! My husband and I were so upset that I decided to change doctors. Actually we had had problems with their office staff before we went to see our specialist and had thought about changing doctors but some people actually tried to say how much they liked our doctor so we thought we'd give her another chance.

I wish I would have listened to my first insticts because now I have another week and a day before I can get another appointment. Which means we have to keep taking the shots for that long also. Oh well, hopefully it won't matter that I'm waiting that long when my specialist wanted us to see our doctor within 7 to 10 days but what can we really do?

I'm sorry you are so sick! I have heard with twins a lot of the time you do get sick more than with a singleton. Hang in there! Just remember it's your little ones growing in there and making that happen :) I threw up once and it was at the start of my sickness then after that I just felt like I had to :) Have you been extremely tired? I have been. I have to go to bed by at least 9:30 or I'm good for nothing the next day!

I have never taken that gel stuff... we were only told to take the shots. I think that is all my doctor will do. Hopefully you won't have to take it much longer. I was supposed to hear the heartbeat this morning so I'm really bummed that they canceled on me... although partly I know doctors have to cancel sometimes, it's just that things always went wrong when we were going to that doctor. I'm hoping this new guy will be better.

Pretty much everyone we know knows I am pregnant. It was too hard to keep it a secret especially at work because people knew I was leaving work a lot for appointments. Plus the guys that sit over the wall from us can hear EVERYTHING we say... they heard me talking and came over and asked! What can you say when they actually heard me saying it ya know...? I hate it when people are that nebby though. I kind of wish people would mind their own business but our office is like a gossip mill, once one person knows, everyone does.

I guess we are pretty close. I am at 10 weeks this Thursday. I can't believe you are that far along already, time is going fast! I'm so happy for you that everything was ok with your little babies!! I hope in 7 months we will be sending each other pictures of our newborns!

You take care and hope to hear from you soon!

Hit another milestone today -- the 10w mark. BOTH babies are doing just great. They have doubled in size since my 8w U/S. They are measuring about 36.5 mm (approx 1.5 inches) -- so cute! One of the twins was very very active (dancing all around and even sucking her :D thumb) The other twin (maybe a boy???) was sound asleep. TOTALLY OPPOSITE personalities already! My RE poked at twin B a bit and then it woke up and started to kick (a little grouchy if ya ask me). LOL.

In any event, each week that goes by I feel so relieved. I think I'm going to tell my boss at work in about 2 weeks. Anyone have any suggestions about breaking the news? I have only been at my company for about 4 months now so I'll be taking off before a year to have the babies. I'm head of a dept so I'm a bit worried. BUT, my babies come first!!!!!

Headaches are HORRIBLE! I've been in bed for the last 3 weekends. Don't know what is going on! RE said it is too early for blood sugar issues. He took me off all meds today and thinks this might help. Have my NT in a week and a half and then my first regular OB appt at 12 weeks -- yipee! Now, I'm just waiting for that 16 wk mark so I can figure out the sex and go SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!

Hope you are all well.

Hi Kelly.

I'm doing great. I had my 1st OB appt. yesterday and we actually heard the heartbeats. I didn't think we would. I'm not sure if we heard the same one twice or if it was both babies. Such a cool sound. I have an u/s in 2 weeks and then one at 18 weeks. I'll get them monthly after that. I think the m/s is finally starting to ease up a bit. I'm eating a little more now. Has anyone else had extremely itchy nipples? I have never heard of this before and I can't handle it. I don't know what to do. I keep putting lotion on them, but that doesn't help. I'm thinking of trying the breastfeeding ointment. So strange and funny at the same time. It stinks in public. How is everyone else doing? Any updates?

Hi Christie, So glad to hear everything is going so well! I just finally got to hear the heartbeat too last week, it was so amazing!

Sorry to hear about the itchyness, I haven't had many symptoms lately, the m/s I had only lasted about two weeks and I was extremely tired still, except this past weekend I noticed I had a bit more energy.

Are you getting big yet at all? I have gained about 5 or 6 pounds so far but I think it all went on my butt and thighs since i have been eating so much! not showing at all yet, I am kind of paranoid about that since Ill be 12 weeks this week.

Well, it was so nice hearing from you, take care! The holidays are almost here so I was wondering if people won't be posting as much now... talk to you later!
