i'm hoping that there is someone out there with a new or unique way to get my baby to take a bottle or cup...
he is 5 1/2months old, and is breastfed, and will not take a bottle or cup.. he was taking a bottle every now and then at 2 months, but i stopped because of his aweful GERD, now he refuses to take anything but breast...
i've tried al ot of different things, so was hoping that there was something out there that i have not yet heard of...
just looking for him to take a bottle every now and then, not looking to stop the BFing.
Good luck with this. The best thing would be for you to pump at least once a day and feed him fresh breast milk, but from a bottle. Then if he has to drink the frozen stuff at some point its not as hard.
This gets a little easier when you have a regular routine for food as well.

I recently had this issue with Makayla. I solved using a little trick. I started the first day by giving Makayla small sips of water (or milk) out of a regular paper cup. This way she got interested int a different method. I actually did this for about three days until I noticed she started reaching for any and all cups to experiment. Then I offered her milk in a Nuby Sippy Cup (any with a really soft silicone spout). She was a little messy with it, but she really likes it and drank 3 ounces from it right away. She is still nursing, but she is now taking her sippy cup every other day or more. Give it a try, it might work!
