Well, I am worried to death. I am 7W1D and I started bleeding today. I am going to the doctor to get a scan but I am still worried to death. Has anyone had this? I am carrying twins.
Shantell, I know that bleeding always scares us to death, is inevitable, but first of all, are you bleeding a lot or just staining the liner a bit?. Second, with multiples is very common to have some bleeding. And I heard of tons of women here that bled and everything was ok. As a matter of fact I was reading yesterday in a book, that about 40% of pregnant women bleed during their first trimester. So hopefully it is nothing and just a scare.
Keep us posted and GOOD LUCK!

Thanks Vicky! Well, I went to the doctor and the one heartbeat was good and strong and Baby A is measuring at 7W2D. Baby B has grown some but not a whole lot. Baby B is still measuring at 5W6D...with no heartbeat. They just are not sure about Baby B yet. They have put me on complete bed rest until I go back next week. I'm just an emotional mess right now and crying about everything which is specifically what the doctor told me NOT to do. I am not complaining but I am too spending Thanksgiving in bed. I know there is nothing I can do so I am going to just quit griping about it. DH is being sweet but gets upset when I cry because the doctor told me not to.
Anyway, thanks everyone for all the support. I just pray the bleeding stops!
Shantell, think about baby A, he is doing great, so concentrate on him and think that he needs you a lot to keep growing. Unfortunately it is not that uncommon to lose one of the babies early when carrying multiples, in a way, if it had to happen, I guess it is better if it happens early than later in pregnancy. I know it is still heartbreaking, but as I said before, focus in Baby A, he is growing great and his little heart is beating like crazy and he wants mommy to feel good. We are here for you if you need to vent. As you know I am on bed rest too, so I am available almost 24/7

i am 29 weeks on bedrest carrying twins. I started bleeding at 9 weeks horribly and it was on/off until 14 weeks. It was a subchorionic bleed. Bleeding is apparantly very normal with twin pregnancies, as I learned from my research.
I am sorry B isn't growing and that you may loose him. It is never an easy circumstance-being happy for one and mourning for the other. Hang in there--
Regarding bed rest, basically what I did is to try to move the least possible. The Dr. said I could be in bed, couch, floor, whatever I wanted as long as I stayed still. So basically I go from bed to the couch in the morning, and at night go back to bed. And go to the restroom and kitchen once in a while too. But that's it..............boring, I know

Hi shantell, i'm sorry your having a rough time of it at the moment. My heart goes out to you, but as has already been said with ivf and muliples it is very common for 2 to take and then one to be lost very early on, i know its hard but if its meant to be it is for the best and will give baby A a much better chance. Remember in a normal pregnancy at this time we would not know how many we were having, so could quite easily lose one before we know it. IVF is hard, but even when we get that longed for bfp we are still in for heartache.
Take care, and i'm praying for next week. Hugs

Hi Shantell - so sorry to hear your news but as been said before rest up as much as you can and give your body chance to do what ever it needs to do. Apart from resting, everything is out of your hands so try not to worry (easier said than done I know). Take care and watch lots of DVD's and read all those books you've been meaning to read!
