NEW - IVF

Hi - I'm new to this message board and to this type of thing. I am just looking for support as i don't know anyone else who is going through this.

After trying for 2 years and a miscarriage i have just been told that i have a damaged tube and IVf is the best way forward. I feel quite aggreived that i have to go through this when it comes so easily to others. In addition we have been told that because my husband already has a child we don't qualify for free treatment... it's just not fair and i am not dealing with the whole unfairness thing well. How do you cope ?

Zoe - Hello! Well, if you are looking for support, you have come to the right place. This site is wonderful for that. There are a lot of wonderful women here who will help you through all the ups & downs of this emotional journey. It is hard when everyone else seems to get pregnant so easily, but I think I will certainly appreciate it more when it does happen. I said recently that I don't even want to answer my phone lately because I sear it is always another friend telling me they are pregnant!!

Well, you are certainly in for quite a roller coaster, so put on your seat belt and find some friends on here and I promise you we will all help you through this and on to your BFP!!!

Hi, I am new to this process also. I have found that in the state of Illinois that some HMO insur plans pay 100% for IVF so keep looking each state has laws to help pay for IVF. I am starting this process in Feb 08 and I am aggrevated as well! All my friends are prego's or have 3 children.If your starting ivf soon I would love an ivf buddy to share stories with. The support I have found and the info on this website has helped me allot. Good luck!

This whole thing is hard.. I go to a counselor to work through all of this ,
I talk to my understanding, listening friends only and I pray. If you have good doctors that you can trust you have to just jump in ,and follow the process... it's hard I understand..
