So I just had a laparascopy and found out that I have indemetriosis all over my tubes and ovarys. My dr. thinks IVF will work out great for us so we are starting our cycle next month. I am in the very early stages of IVF and was hoping i could find some friends to go through this with. Is anyone else here doing IVF and where are you in the process?
If you look on the General Forum you will find more groups you can join. I am in the Sept/Oct cycle buddies, you are welcome to join that one, a wonderful group there! This is my first IVF as well and I had my ET (embryo transfer last Tues 9/18) I'm in my 2ww now.
It is an emotional rollercoaster but we will do anything for our future little ones right?!
I'm sorry to hear your news there but there is always hope! Welcome, and maybe I will see you on our thread!

PrincessB, I am gonna check out the general forum. Since you have never been through this before you need all the support you can get and that is why I joined this forum. We are also cycle buddies. I will be doing my 2nd round in October.

1st Ivf 7/2006-m/c at 6.5 wks
2nd Ivf 10/2007-hoping for a miracle
Just as an added note i also have endiometriosis. I had a laparoscopy in 2005. I also have some fibroids (haven't been removed) and some uterine polyps which were removed about 3 weeks ago via hysteroscopy. Anyway, miracles happen I am a big believe in that. A very good friend of mine had endiometriosis so bad they removed her left ovary...she now has a 3 yr old son....
I'll start from the beginning, I've had three ectopic's and both my tubes have been removed, as u can imagine I was devastated. It's just been one knock after another. I've been to see my doctor about ivf and I'm just going through the checks.
I'm feeling a bit scared, I know nothing is 100% certain but I would really like some information on what i should or shouldn't do. I just want to make sure I do everything I can
I am brand new to all of thtis as well with similar dx. Istart this journey in Feb 08 with the bc pills and Lupron. I have heard this is more emotionally disturbing than anything. Most people I have read about and from what our docs tell us the side effects are bloating and pms symptoms. Try to avoid the progesterone shots they can give you the supp's instead ( just a bit of info to save you pain and stress)...
good luck
