Beachbaby, I can totally relate to the spotting worries, but after asking everybody about it I found that it is very very common and most of the time it is nothing. I know we will freak out anyway, but at least in the back of our minds we can have this reassurance. I am sure your spotting is nothing, so just put your feet up, rent some DVD's and enjoy  .
Keep us posted!!

Question, is any of you planning on getting a fetal doppler?. I am thinking about it very strongly, being a worry wart like I am I think getting one will likely put my mind at ease. What do you guys think??

Hi ladies - welcome to Vickers and Hope - Hope - how was your scan - we can't wait to hear how it went.

Hope the bed rest ladies are doing OK - I am a tiny bit jealous - I am so tired this week at work!

Beachbaby - I have read in many places that spotting is common in the early stages - one place being the helpful pamphlet that my clinic sent me when I got the BFP - so try not to worry.

Vicky - I don't think I would get thedoppler - it would drive me crazy and I would get obsessed with it I think! I am more concerned about the testing that is advised for us more "mature" ladies at the 10 or 11 week mark.

I hope to find out more tomorrow - I have my 8 week scan with my IVF dr and then, if all is well, we are parting company and have another appointment with a new OB - new consulting rooms, different part of town - I felt I needed a clean break from the IVF clinic - hopefully for sometime!

Will let you know how I go - bye for now ladies! 9.30am here - had my breakfast just over an hour ago and I am already STARVING again!

Melinda congratulations!!!!!!!!, you must be on cloud 9 right now!!!!!

Angie....good luck tomorrow with your scan!!.

Beachbaby....how are you doing?, has the spotting subsided yet?

Well girls, I had yet another bleed yesterday, and I freaked out, it was a little bit less than last time, but enough to creep me out. Needless to say I called my RE and had a scan today, fortunately everything was ok, my little beanie is growing beautifully, we are 8w2d today, and the hematoma is smaller. RE thinks that as the baby grows the hematoma is being squeezed by the sac and that is why I might have a little bleed here and there.......hopefully I will not freak out next time....yeah right!!!!  .

For those here in the US happy Thanksgiving to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, eat as much turkey as you can, you have the perfect excuse this year

Hi Everyone!
Happy Thanksgiving to all celebrating!

Melinda- Congrats on your scan you must be so happy!

Angie_ I hope your scan goes well as I'm sure it will. Keep us posted.

Beachbaby- My dr. told me that spotting is common. So don't worry eventhough it's really hard not to. I'm sure everything will be ok.
I do drink the odd lemondae when I get water logged. Thanks for the tip.

Vicky- Glad to hear you are doing ok and everything is ok with your beanie.

I'm doing ok. I made a pumpkin cheesecake last night which the smell lingered and this morning I was opening all the windows to air our b/c the smell was making me queasy. Not to the point of ms but very uncomfortable. It'll be interesting to see what I'll eat come dinner time.

Hi Ladies, hope all you in the US are enjoying the feast, have a great day.

Vicky sorry you had another bleed, but sounds like baby couldn't care less about it. Hope it dissapears completely soon.

Melinda, congratulations on the scan.

Angie, where are you, how did the scan go today?

As for me, no more spotting, clean as a whistle today. So feeling calmer now, still can't beleive i've another 4 days to wait!! And i'll still be freaking out as i don't think we'll hear the heartbeat that early, so then i'll have another 2ww.

Hi All, the 8 week scan is fine! yay! Can you believe it though? I had an abdomen scan! not a "you know what" scan! Dr was perfectly happy with everything but the picture was just a grainy blob as they are never as good through the ab!

Now I have to wait a whole 4 WEEKS for the all important 12 week scan which will be combined with blood tests at week 10.

Kimberli - you pumpkin cheesecake sounds wonderful. My current aversion is broccoli - I used eat it all the time (good as it's so healthy) but now I can't stand the taste or the smell of it steaming!

Glad to hear the spotting is not causing too many problems girls and Beachbaby , not too long now before your scan. We'll be waiting for your updates.

I am so glad it's Friday - I always feel better at the weekend. Tomorrow we have a bbq which will be lots of fun.

Hi Everyone-

Angie- Glad to hear everything went great with your scan!

Vicky- I was thinking about your heartburn and drinking..have you tried maybe gatorade or propel? I don't know if they'd help but they are safe for us to drink.

I hope everyone is doing well. I'm doing ok. I was switched from th progesterone oil shots to the suppositories a couple days ago. Nasty things, but get to stop everything dec 5th. Not too much longer!
Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi ladies,

Angie, congratulations on the scan. Hope all the tests at 10 weeks are ok. and you'll reach the magic 12 weeks just before chritmas.

Vicky, hope your doing ok, when is your next appointment? hope the spotting has stopped.

Kimberli, oh the beautiful suppositories!! don't you love them, i am on2 per night at bedtime, until i reach 12 weeks then slowly weaned off them over a further 2 weeks. I find they stay in better if you store them in the fridge, take a bit longer to melt. haha. hope you managed to eat some dinner.

As for me, still feeling pretty much the same, although i had a BLT for lunch today and i really thought it was going to come back to see me, not nice won't be having one of those again!! otherwise still feeling sick at strange times, and brushing my teeth on occasions is a challenge (anybody else?). anyway best go sort out dinner.
take care all, hi to all i've missed.

Hi ladies, how's it going? Monday morning here and I so don't want to be at work. I am feeling ICK! Nauseus feeling is intensifying although thankfully I haven't vomited - it comes and goes. Sunday I felt great - today yuck. Perhaps its also Monday morning syndrome.....

For the last few weeks it's been a queasy, hungry feeling in the stomach but now it's progressed to that heady nauseus feeling. Oh well - better not complain - I waited along time to get to this point. Well I'm off to find something to settle my stomach/head.

How is everyone else going?

Hi everyone!

I hope I'm not too late to jump in here and join you all during your pregnancy. I just found out on the last few days that my 1st IVF was a success and our due date is July 31, 08. I'm a little weary about becoming too excited because I find myself worrying about what might go wrong. I have been reading about other people's beta levels and think mine is quite a bit lower. My 1st was 76, my 2nd was 203. The nurse said that was good but some of you have way higher numbers. Do you think I should be worried?? Maybe it just means I have 1 instead of 2 babies (we transferred 2 5 day blasts). Any thoughts?
Oh, and congratulations to everyone for getting your BFP!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Welcome Nicaliw!!!!, your beta #'s sound great!!, my first beta was 45 and everything is good, so don't go by the numbers, the only thing that matters is that they double, nothing else, so you are ok!!!

Jayne (beachbaby).......you have your scan today, right?, if so, good luck and keep us posted!!!!!. Regarding your question about brushing your teeth in the morning, it doesn't happen to me, but I had a friend that experienced that during her first trimester as well....

Angie.....not only we have the exact same due date, but we have the same symptoms!!!!!!!!!. I feel just like you, a bit queasy, which seems to be getting worse in the past week and hungry.........VERY HUNGRY  . Have you gained any weight yet?, I think I gained at least 6 lbs which is not good since I believe we are supposed to gain 2-5lbs during the first trimester......oh well, I guess I'll be a pig, who cares!!!

Kim.....I am on suppositories and PIO shots, isn't that great? :? , I am supposed to stay on these until the end of the 10th week, so until Dec 11(I am counting days, minutes and seconds  ).

How is everybody else doing????. I am hanging in there, still in bedrest, I am going to my first OB/Gyn appt this Thursday, so we'll see what she tells me about it.......hopefully I will have a scan

Hi ladies, Well had a bit more spotting yesterday evening, and it was red so freaked out completly but had no more. Was so nevous for the scan after that.
Anyway the good news is its twins!! and we saw both heartbeats, one is measuring 6 weeks and one six weeks one day. So bang on target, go back on the 10th Dec for 8 week scan.

Welcome Nicliw, congratulations, don't worry about the numbers as long as they are doubling every 48 hours. Take care of yourself and don't overdo it.

Angie/Vicky, as you are both 2 weeks ahead of me i know whats conming next, been absolutely starving this weekend, and i have put on 3lb's since i found out, and i am being very careful what i eat.

Hi to everyone else will catcth up more later.
