Hi Tracy

Well i cant really give advice about the eating as no matter what i eat i was sick, i have read small meals frequently is the best thing and plenty off veg helps, i love milk so i drink about a pint a day this is also good. As for baths i didnt have a bath until i was about 10weeks but after that i had to have one god i was missing a bath, as long as its warm and not hot, but i cant see it doing any harm their has to be people out their thats not got showers who have no choise but to have a bath!!

Try and drink water aswell.

Love Louise x x
24weeks 6days Twins
hi tracy

congratulations!!!

I'm another twins girl and have been suffering badly from morning sickness. Apparently its doubly bad with twins.....great! As far as baths and food goes, I didn't have a bath until after my first scan and now I only have them occasionally - warm not hot and no aromatherapy oils or anything like that in the water!

As for food - I'm basically eating whatever will stay down, but you are told to avoid things like - soft/blue cheese, peanuts & peanut butter, liver & pate, uncooked meat/fish, shellfish. To be honest, none of these things appeal, unless its colourless and odourless it doesn't stay down long with me! Yoghurt, bananas and cheese are the main things I eat at the moment!!

You'll find whatever feels right for you. The one thing I did do immediately (after advice) was throw away my underwire bras and get measured for a non-wired maternity bra! Its wierd because it was the first time I'd said I was pg out loud - made it seem even more real!!

Good luck.
love nikola.xxxx
Thanks Nikola and congratualations to you too.

Im making a list of things to eat and things to avoid eating, but to eat lots of veg, not very good with my veg so starting now, quite difficult, but spose will get used to it like drinking lots of water.

Bra advice sounds good, thanks

Love Tracy x

Trace,

I didn't have a bath up to 12 weeks but I wasn't smelling I was showering every day lol. I was just a little worried but I suppose we are over careful but can't afford to be any different really can we. When I did have a bath I just made sure it wasn't too hot and that I didn't use any oils just normal bubble bath. I would also say to try and drink 1 pint of milk a day I was having problems because it was making me sick but I do drink it now. Also vegatables are good for you so try and eat them too even though your not keen. I was advised I needed to get out my underwired bra so make sure you do this asap because they say not to wear underwired bra's when your pregnant. My midwife said to avoid blue/soft cheese, shellfish, undercooked meat, she said you can have peanuts providing there is no allergy in the family when you get your maternity books there will a list of what you can and can't eat. My midwife also said no whipped ice-cream off icecream man so remember that one.
Hope this helps.
Love
Shell.
28wks 4d pg
79 days to go
xx
Hi Trace,
Congratulations and welcome to this side!
Just to add to what the other girls have said - no pate or liver products, tuna only a max of x3 times/week (to do with mercury levels), no homemade mayonnaise, cheesecakes etc where the eggs aren't fully cooked and keep down the amount of caffeine to x6 cups of tea or 2 cups of coffee a day (or change to decaf).
Hope this helps!
Di
Hi Trace

Congratulations!

Well, I had baths the whole time - the thing is not to have too hot a bath, but I found it really relaxed me when I got home from work, to get in a nice warm bath with lots of bubbles and a book. Do whatever feels best for you.

On the food front, like the others have said, you;ll probably go off most foods - for weeks, the thought of chips or anything oily, or if I smelt food frying, made me retch. Little and often definitely helps. Whilst I know its good to have healthy stuff, during those weeks when I was really rough and felt sick all the time, I just ate what i fancied, even if it was junk food or whatever. Now im feeling better, Im eating healthier stuff. Whilst its important, don't worry about every single thing you eat or do, or you'll send yourself potty! The latest thing for me is satsumas - can't get enough of them!

Rest and relax as much as you can and remember not to do any stretching above your head.

Love

Rachel

23 weeks, 3 days (one baby)
