Hi ladies- I just wanted to let you know that my test today came back BFP and I am still in shock. I don't feel different, I don't have symptoms, I'm having a hard time believing them but my numbers were 595, so I guess that's a definite
It's difficult not to get discouraged, I know. We produced 5 eggs and only 1 fertilized, so I really felt like the odds were against me, and I tried not to lose hope. So stay positive (I'm sure you've heard that enough, sorry), and pray a lot- this dream was put into your hearts for a reason. Good luck all of you strong women and God Bless!

Did your doctor advise against doing a transfer with just 1? Mine doesn't want to work with less than 4 for me because of my age. I was just wondering if he/she had an opinion about it. I thought the standard was 2 for younger women.
No matter what, though, CONGRATS again! I sure do want to see a BFP again. (I kept my old stick from this summer-does that make me weird?)

Actually my dr preferred we didn't transfer more than 2, and kept repeating "you only need one" (even before we knew we only got one fertilized). So he was really optimistic and kept saying we had a 70% chance, which is what I needed to hear to stay positive. I went to Loma Linda University in San Bernadino, CA and they have been absolutely amazing. I thought I wouldn't get that "personal touch" going to such a big place, and it's been nothing but the opposite. The embryologist also explained that the biggest factor is the quality of the embryo. I know they also recommend assisted hatching for women over 35, so you may want to look into that. Hope this helps, and follow what your gut tells you.
Good luck!
