Hey there ya'll, sorry for my leave of absence without notification. I hope everyone is staying strong and positive. I'm doing very well, and kinda going as planned. I did not get the testing done that I wanted yet . It's wierd, even though it was ordered and the doctors office told me they would contact me about getting my blood for the test, I haven't heard a word. However, that aside my 3D saline sonagram showed a clear uterine cavity and today the ultrasound showed a good lining. Sunday evening I start my 50 mg IM Progestrone in oil and then the 7th is the transfer. Yeehaaw! Then the 2 week wait again, during the holiday shopping time so I can keep busy.

Magic,
I wish, hope, and pray for your desired outcome for you on your next transfer.

Dcu,
I'm glad you actually got the test done. I hope mine get done in the next day or so, in time for this next transfer. Stay positive and please share the results of the test with me.

update

Post by schel67 »

Happy Holidays ladies :D ,
Well, just wanted to update. I started my 50mg/ml IM injections on the evening of the 2nd. My RE reduced the amount of progestrone in the begining so this time I will not be taking the vaginal suppositories am and pm. I just do the 1ml injection everyday. I had my blood drawn for my tests yesterday and in case we don't get the results back on time I will be put on heprin after the transfer until we know the results. The transfer date is just around the corner and I feel really great about it!

Magic,
It sounds like your doing well. I wish good health and happiness for you and yours during the holidays and always.

Magic,
It's actually funny you mention life journey and tests given cuz I've been trying to figure out my lesson to learn with this path I've taken. What I've come up with thus far is that I must have faith that God knows what is best for me, I must live my life with gratitude for what I've been given already, and claim his blessings with a positive outlook no matter what the outcome or how difficult things may seem at the moment.
This makes my ride quite a bit easier  .

I have a beautiful step daughter, 6 neices and nephews and a god daughter. Sometimes I wonder if I would be good as a foster or adoptive Mum as I welcome all children into my life, maybe that is the path I am meant to follow.

Time will tell.... until then I shall party over the festive period and come back down to earth in the new year to re-focus!

Take care

Now in 2 week wait!

Post by schel67 »

Helloooo,
I had my FET on Friday Dec. 7th. I coudn't have asked for it to go any better! both of my little frozen babies survived, and for the first time they were able to see my uterus on the ultrasound for correct placement. I am full of joy and thankfulness. I believe my prayers have been answered. Now I'm in the 2 week wait until confirmation on Friday Dec. 21st. :D

schel67-

I got my test results back and everything is normal except I tested positive for MTHFR heterozygous. My RE said this is clinically insignificant...meaning he doesn't think this is a contributor to the biochemical pregnancies. He said that some people take prescription Folic Acid for this and that it is not proven to be necessary. If it was the homozygous version it would be required. He said I can take it if I'd like and that it wouldn't hurt me. It was a quick phone call and you know sometimes you don't think of questions when you are talking. In any event, I am going to request to be put on that. He also said that my husband should be tested to complete the recurrant miscarriage panel of tests...this was not done. Any thoughts?

(I posted this on 3 boards, so forgive me if it's repetitive!)

Diane,
That's wonderful news that you got good news concerning your tests resusts. As far as the one test goes that you tested positive for and is treated with prescription folic acid, you should already be on prescription folic acid that's in your prenatal vitamin. If yor taking and over the counter prenatal vitamin your probably not recieveing the prescription amount of folic acid.
My tests also came back normal. I didn't do all the test I could have. only the few the RE advised.
If I would have another failed ET, especially if this one fails I'll have the other tests we asked about done and my husband will get his boys tested for chromosomal abnormalities, probably the same thing your RE is suggesting.
