Hi Brandy,
I had that same thing during my first IVF cycle. I've always wondered why it didn't happen again, but I guess each IVF cycle is different just like they say each pregnancy is different.
Ros, that quote you found is a hoot! You must be spending a lot of time online researching. I've been doing a little bit of reading, but mostly I'm working. I have my work computer sitting right next to my personal computer here at home. I work a case, then go to my own PC, and back & forth all day.
I got a very sad call this morning. My good friend has recurrent colon cancer and they just found more suspicious nodules on a PET scan. She's already been through chemo twice & multiple surgeries. Now she's afraid that she will need more surgery or another round of chemo. And yet she still asked me how I was doing & when do I find out if I'm pregnant. If any of you pray, her name is Dawn and she could use all the help she can get.
I better get back to work now. Hope everyone is doing well. Fiona, why don't you take another HPT? why do they want you to wait?

Yeah I love the snail trails bit and blowing your nose on a panty liner!

Really sorry to hear about your friend 2ndtimer. I think it puts our troubles into perspective doesn't it? I have a couple of friends (my age) who are seriously ill and whenever I think I have got a bad deal in life, I think of them and tell myself how lucky I am to have my health.

Ros-Thanks for the info
BRS888- Yes, I've experienced that as well the past two mornings in a row. .

Well, I have been extreeeemely, crazily tired since yesterday morning. I slept a few hours in the afternoon, and fell asleep for the night at 8, till 9 the next morning, then another 2.5 hours today in the afternoon! Of course, don't know what it all means, because I remember from last time that the progesterone made me super tired.

How are you all holding up? Fiona, I'm thinking good thoughts for your second test. Ros and 2nd timer- Can you believe, only 3 more days till beta? How are you guys feeling? I'm trying to be low key with myself (if you know what I mean) and just treat myself gently. Going tonight with DH to browse in the mall, take it easy.

Wishing you all positive baby thoughts, and rest easy!

2nd Timer-
Sorry, I didn't read page 5 of the thread, and just want to say I am so sorry your friend is having health troubles. I do pray, and will most definitely have Dawn in my prayers for a full, speedy recovery.

Thanks Sharishu, I know it helps my friend!
I'm also trying to take it easy this weekend but I will be doing some shopping today. Hopefully that will keep my mind off of things at least for a little while. It's been longer than 14 days since I had the HCG shot so I could start doing HPT's but I'm not going to. Last time for my FET I took a HPT & got a faint positive. I was overwhelmingly happy. I waited for 2 days & took another expecting the line to be darker, but it was still faint. I knew something was wrong then. 2 days after that I took another & it was negative. I also had lost most of the symptoms like sore boobs & tiredness by that day. My blood test confirmed it was a negative. So it was just way, way, way too much of an emotional rollercoaster to go through. This time I'll just wait until the blood test on 12/05/07.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!

2nd Timer-
I know what you mean about the emotional roller coaster re:HPTs. Last cycle I started light bleeding a few days before the beta, so I panicked and did an HPT-BFN. Made me feel even worse before I went in for my Beta to confirm the BFN. One BFN is enough, I say!

Hi Everyone

Feeling quite optimistic today as I am sure my bbs are bigger, feeling tired this pm and am still bloated from EC. Still having mild cramps. I know it all could mean nothing but I am feeling more positive than I have been. Not long to go now until test day.

Take care everyone

I'm feeling pretty optimistic this evening too. I'm having a lot of symptoms although I know that they are mostly caused by the meds & also, the mind can play tricks on you. But, as far as I'm concerned I'm pregnant until proven otherwise!

Hi ladies-

Help! Thought I saw two tiny orangish spots this morning. I can't deal with it, so I'm kind of pretending I didn't see it. I did, however, experience mild nausea yesterday and this morning. Anyone else nauseous? I don't know if that's a progesterone side effect or not. I'm getting REALLY antsy and just hoping I don't see any more spots. I know it could be implantation bleeding, bla bla bla, but it scares me! I am getting really nervous. I just need some positive words...

Shari

Try to stay positive, your orange spots don't sound like anything to worry about to me. Plenty of ladies on here have had bleeding and still had a strong BFP.

I have been feeling slightly nauseous too. And I am burping loads - a bit of a strange one but my sister (who has 2 kids) said that she was really gassy for the first 12 weeks of her pregnancies.

Anyway who knows. I thinking of doing a test early as my DH goes away for 5 months on Tues (the day before test day). Do you think that is a good idea or not?

Ros-
It is a bit early to do a HPT, and it can certainly come out negative even if you are pregnant. I'd say wait till Wednesday to have a more accurate answer. An HPT can come out neg. or pos. at this point (because of HCG shot) and you'll still be unsure. I know it's hard sweety, but we're holding eachother's hands till then, right? Of course it's your choice, but I'm telling you from my own experience, a HPT now could be an emotional mistake.

Thanks, by the way, for your encouraging words. Sounds like we're having similar symptoms, anyway. Feeling less nauseous right now, but reallly bloated. Of course that could be the chocolate cake I helped my DH polish off this weekend.

Running to work now. Later!

Hi Ladies,
I'm also feeling a little nauseous & dizzy as well as very tired & sore boobs. If you look up side effects of progesterone, they are all listed. So... who knows. I'm trying to stay positive. I'll admit, it's hard after so many negatives. I'm terrified to get the call from the clinic on Wed. I know I can keep it together until Wed, but I'll be a mess on that day.
Sharishu, I wouldnt worry to much about a little spotting. Many women have that clear into their pregnancies. It doesn't mean anything, but do call your MD if it turns bright red.
Ros, when was your transfer date & when did you take the HCG? Technically the HCG should be out of your system after 14 days. It might be OK to take a HPT but personally, I'm not going to do that again. I learned the hard way that just because I'm a "little bit pregnant" on day 10 does not mean I will still be pregnant on day 14. That's crazy he has to go away for 5 months!
Yesterday my DH did a good job at keeping me busy & not thinking about baby too much. We did a little shopping & went out to a park and the farmers market. Today I need to spend some time with my hyper little dog, she's been feeling ignored.
Wishing you all a good Sunday,
2ndtimer :)

Sharisu: funnily enough I had a smiliar experience today. I was cramping slightly yesterday and today a little, and I've noticed tiny red/brown spotting. Sure I've had spotting on other cycles, but never this early (day 10), so I'm just waiting for it to get stronger now. I've been feeling strong waves of nausea too and going quite hot. I always think this last week is the worse time, worrying that you will start bleeding, and then think about not bothering with the test. If it carries on, I might as well cancel my driving test, as I will most definitely fail worrying about it. Bummer, why do I have the two things in one week. Worst luck of the year so far...

Thanks for the advice. Will think about the HPT. On my test day I don't have a beta at the clinic I just do a HPT at home anyway so it would only be a day early and I would do one on test day as well. My HCG was on Sat 17th Nov so it is over 2 weeks now. I had my ET on Weds 21st after a 2 day transfer.

I also have just looked up the side effects of progesterone and I can tick most of my symptoms off unfortunately. Except for all the gas but I suppose that could just be indigestion!!

Hey all,

Angela- I was also REALLY hot last night, and we were outside where it was chilly. When I got in the car I had to take off my socks and shoes!

Ros- I guess it does make sense that if you're doing a HPT anyway, then one day doesn't matter much. When do you go in for your beta? Whatever you decide, we're all here to support you!

2nd T.- Guess we're all having similar symptoms. Well, I hope it's all a sign that we will be getting BFPs come Wednesday :) . BTW, are you in America or England? If you're in America, then we're in 4 different countries, going through this together. Isn't that wild???

Gotta go now. Wishing us all precious little miracles to ring in the new year.
