cramps 4dp3dt

Post by AliB81 »

I wondered if anyone can help. We have just done our first fet following a failed ivf in august. I am 4dp3dt and have cramps like af is about to appear. Is it too early to be signs of af ? Could it be implantation ? Really stressing as desperate for it to work this time. Opinions greatly received.

Hi Alib81
I know all about cramps. I started cramping 3 days after 2 day transfer and cramped right throught the 2 week wait. I did a HPT on 8 day past 2 day transfer and got a BFN but of course it was too early. Because of the cramps I was convinced that AF was coming anyway as AF had not come by day 12 I did a blood test and yes it was BFP!! I am now nearly 2 months pregnant with one baby and have still got slight cramps so do not worry it could be implantation cramps.

Best of luck and lots of baby dust to you!!

Cramps

Post by TinyBabyWish »

When I did IVF the first time around, I had AF like cramping as well all throughout the 2WW. When I went in for my blood test it was a BFP! Sadly we lost the baby at 9 weeks due to a blood clot condition that I have.

Now I am at my second 2WW and again having the same AF cramps so I'm thinking that this is a good thing :) For this time around I will have to take Lovenox to prevent the clotting.

We'll see, I go in for my blood test onf the 12th.

Good Luck to you!

I could of typed what you did, same thing happened to me but I was further along. What blood condition do you have? I have to go on the lovenox too as soon as we find out if my FET yesterday worked.

Blood Clot

Post by TinyBabyWish »

I have, Anticardiolipin Antibodies. During my first pregnancy I just kept bleeding like I had AF. I kept going in for ultrasounds and the heart was still beating but not as well as it should have. The doctor put me on strict bedrest but it didn't help much. At about 7 weeks they told me that I was going to m/c and wanted to do a dnc. I decided against it. I came back again about a week later for another u/s and the heart had stopped beating. It tood about 2 weeks before I had the miscarriage.

They did some testing on me afterwards and that's when they discovered that I had the syndrome. So this time around instead of just calling us for the results we have an appt. to come in. This way if I am pregnant then I can start the Lovenox that day. Apperantly, I have to take the shots once a day for the entire pregnacy (up until 48 hours of delivery). Also, I've heard the Lovenox can be quit painful but that icing down the area after the injection helps.

Well, I'm all up for the Lovenox adventure if it means having a baby/babies!!!

Thank you all so much for your comments. They are sooo reassuring. Congratulations Neeve on your BFP, that's fantastic ! Good Luck Tiny. Praying for a BFP for you.
I am still having cramps although not as bad. With the IVF I had some spotting so I was sort of prepared for the result. No spotting this time though so trying to stay positive. I test on Monday 10th so will have to let you know.

Again, Thank you for your replies
