HIGH AMNIOTIC FLUID

Hi Ladies,
Sorry I haven't been on, very busy. I found out yesterday that my fluid level is alittle high. Has anyone else had this? The Doctor says I should not worry but we all know how that goes.
I am scheduled for a C-section on December 20th instead of my due date of January 3rd, just to be on the safe side. Baby already weighs 5.5 lbs.

First of all congrats on making it this far!! I am so happy for you!
But, no I haven't heard of high levels...I didn't know that was a bad thing. Maybe the further you go along the less it will get and go back to normal. Mine measures different every week when they look at each babies pockets of fluid but no one has ever said anything about too high, they just tell me it's not low. Geez I thought that was all we had to worry about!
I think I am going to ask the sono tech about it at my next appt just to see what they say.

Do you know what you are having yet??

NO we didn't find out what we are having. I am going in on December 20th for a C-section so I only have a few more weeks. How are you doing? I feel like I have not been on here for ages.

Oh that will be the best surprise! We are having 2 boys and a girl so I think we are done! I am getting nervous now that I am 29 weeks, alot of women deliver triplets this early or in the next few weeks so I am praying the babies will stay in there for longer. But otherwise I have had an uneventful pregnancy thank God! I go every week for checkups so hopeful on Wed. I will get another good report.
Yes please keep me posted on how your little jellybean is doing.

How lovely to hear from you. So glad that things are going well. I had excess fluid (polyhydramnios) but I'm diabetic and can happen. You're doctor is right, you shouldn't worry. The biggest worry with excess fluid is early labour but if you're doctor isn't concerned then I wouldn't be too (I had this with Emma not Ellie, it wasn't the reason Ellie came so early but was with Emma - she was 5 weeks early).
