Cheap fertility meds in US?

Post by waitingforMia »

I am trying to research pharmacies in the US that sell cheaper fertility meds for my upcoming IVF. I was wondering if anyone knows of pharmacies in the US that sells them cheap.

Thanks!

Nope, but I ordered mine online from England and it saved us tons. They shipped them here no problem. It's sad how expensive they are here in the States!

My first cycle (IUI w/ stims) I used IVFMeds in Europe (www.ivfmeds.com/order or 800-341-0464) and there prices were great.
For my IVF cycle, I had to use a US based pharmacy b/c my clinic is a university and they require that. They recommended a pharm out here and they were literally half the cost of every other pharmacy I called. They enrolled me in some sort of free pharmacy discount program??? Not sure how that works, but I wasn't going to complain. Anyway, there info is: La Jolla Discount Pharmacy, La Jolla, CA 858-622-1800. If you call them with exactly what you need and the amounts they will give you a quote over the phone.
Hope this helps.

My clinic recommended Freedom Drug. I just had a look at the price list to see how much of a saving using the UK one would have been and the prices aren't very different. Eg. My gonal-F from freedom drug cost $657, the UK one costs $635, thats only a saving of $22. But, I suppose every penny counts, this is definitely not a cheap process!

I heard that Canada acutally has pretty cheap drugs. I don't know as far as for fertility. I did mine and got them from a place in Logan, Utah. He was pretty cheap for me. I can't really say what specifically was my HCG because he actually mixed a couple of the kinds. So when I looked at Canada I couldn't compare the price. But it seemed to be close on the Lupron I think. Anyway I just typed it in and googled canada pharmacies. Anyway good LUCK!!

Thanks for the advice. I looked up several Canadian pharmacies and they looked more expensive. I did find one today, IVFpharmacy.com that looks like the cheapest - Gonal F 75 IU Vial 42$. 18$ SH I will try them unless I find a cheaper one.

That same drug is only $54.75 at Freedom Drug with free shipping. Could save yourself some money. I don't work for them or anything, I just got done with my first round of IVF.
