So sorry to hear about your friend, Dawn, SecondTimer. I will definitely keep her in my prayers. Yes, it does certainly put things in perspective, doesn't it?! So scary...

Well, I am glad you all are positive as I am having a very bad day. Shari, if I remember correctly you have endometriosis pretty badly as do I, and as you know our bodies are very telling because of that. I started having pains in my right side today (as opposed to uterine type cramps), so I am pretty sure it did not work. I am trying to think positively as for the last few days I was 90% sure I was pregnant: peeing a lot, gassy, tired, crampy, that lovely CM thing, and some other almost tuggying kind of feelings in my abdomen that are hard to explain.

My blood test is the 7th, but I am to get my period on Wednesday if this is a normal cycle. I am so tempted to take a HPT. I defintely should not, right?!

BTW, what is everyone's test date?

Hi Ladies

You sound like you are all in good spirits - lots of PMA.

Brandy, in my limited experience a tugging in the lower abdomen is a very good sign! But don't quote me.

Well. I managed to sleep until 7am on Saturday before waking to do my HPT. Pretty good eh? And this time I got a BFP with a strong positive!!!!

However I still have this nasty brownish discharge so I am trying hard not to get too excited. It's such early days.

I will ring the clinic tomorrow for advice and to book a scan. I won't go for a beta as the clinic is 100 miles away.

It's been a weird weekend with a good news and bad. My best friend was due to come and stay with her DH and kids but she get rushed to hsopital on Friday. Turns out, she had a minor heart attack, at 41!!!! they have no fitted a stent and by all accounts she was very lucky.

Some people will do anything to get away from my cooking!!

Brandy-
Yes, I do have severe endometriosis and severe pains with my periods. I don't think that cramping is necessarily a bad sign, and the tugging sounds good. Try to continue a PMA :) . No tugging here, and no cramping anymore, just mild nausea (probably from the progesterone).

Fiona-
Congrats! The brownish discharge sounds ok, since it's not red. I know it is concerning, but try to relax and remain positive. I'm pulling for you, here! My concern is that my breasts stopped being sore  . Do you know if that's a bad sign? Neutral?

Up here at midnight, waiting till Wednesday.

Yeah, Fiona! That is so wonderful! I don't think you have anything to worry about as long as it is "brown" blood...that is according to my friend who appears to be the most fertile woman on the planet :) Enjoy every minute of your pregnancy...it is so wonderful!

Take care,

Congratulations Fiona!!! That's wonderful news. Hopefully yours is just the first of many for us on this thread.
Sorry to hear about your friend. I'm an nurse & part of my job is to call people after they get home from the hospital from certain surgeries or illnesses, including heart disease. The bad news is that many of us women never know we are at risk for heart disease until having a heart attack. The good news is that for someone so young, if she is able to make diet/lifestyle changes it's possible that she may never have any more problems with her heart. In fact, she could be healthier in a couple of years then she was before the heart attack. Your friend may find that she's very emotional & tearful for the next couple of weeks, that's a very normal response to the trauma. Physically it's like getting over a really bad case of the flu with pneumonia, mentally -it's just as tough.
Sharishu, I'm in America. I've also thought about how funny it is that we are all spread out around the globe & yet going through basically the same thing. My first IVF in 2004 was a stressful & lonely time, I hadn't discovered this site yet. I really value the forum friends I've made. It's helped tremendously.
Just a few more days to go!

2nd Timer and all,
My first IVF was also 'alone', sans the forum. When I had bleeding a few days before my beta, I had nowhere to turn with my panic! My dh (because he's a guy) simply had no clue. I really do value the support of all you great women :) Plus, I've learned a lot about the finer details (egg/embryo grade, beta numbers), since here in Israel IVF is payed for by the gov., you don't get that individual attention where things are explained very well. The info I gained from this site really helped me to ask the right questions as I was going through it this time.

Fiona:
How's the discharge? Did you ask your RE about it? I hope you're feeling well and that it's diminished.

2nd and Ros: We made it to Monday! Only 1.5 more days to go! Woo hoo! How you guys doing today? I'm pretty ok. Trying to think positive thoughts.

To all you brave women who test this week, I wish you lots of strength and lots of BFPs :D

Hi Everyone

Fiona - congratulations - that is great news. I am sure you will be fine - brown discharge is fine.

I keep having ups and downs still - not so sure today. Less bloated, not nauseous at all, no cramps. Still gassy though. I don't feel pregnant at all but i also don't feel like my period is on its way. I think I am going to do a test early so that my DH and I can discuss the way forward if it is negative before he goes. So hard to try and do all of that on the phone.

Btw Shari I think you asked in an earlier post when I have my beta test - I don't. My clnic doesn't do them.

Take care everyone and good luck for your tests!

Not in such great spirits at the moment-

Went to the bathroom and wiped light pink with a few tiny red spots  . I'm feeling a bit discouraged now. Any positive thoughts would be helpful. I want to pretend I didn't see it. But I did. The toilet paper doesn't lie, as it were. (Sorry for TMI).

How's everyone doing? Hoping it was just nothing. Hoping.

Shari

Try and keep the PMA going. You never know what is going on inside your body. Everybody reacts differently so don't give up hope.

When do you test?

Hey Fiona, thanks,

I test Wednesday. And I find out the results at work, just to add another bit of stress. How are you feeling? So glad it worked out well for you. I was actually thinking of you and remember how sure you were that it didn't work.

I wish you a wonderful pregnancy, congrats once again, and enjoy this special time. Thanks for your kind words.

Hi to everybody, I don't ussually post, but I love to read your stories, they are very supportive!
In this momet=nt I'm very confused, I have to make my test in one week, but I have all the symptons that my MP is coming! Why the symptoms have to be so similar???!!! This waiting is killing me! Till yesterday I was feeling so possitive!

Shari keep the faith, like Fiona says you never know what's going inside you!
God bless us all....

Sharishu, a little bit of bleeding means nothing! Not to get to personal, but are you on vaginal suppositories or the shots? Some women get irritation from the suppositories which can cause a little bleeding. Or you may just be spotting a little. Some women continue to have spotting for months while pregnant.
This 2WW is a crazy & sometimes cruel time to go through. We're all putting some much thought & energy into deciphering the most minute of physical clues, even knowing that any/all symptoms may be caused entirely by the meds at this point. It's impossible not to obsess. At least we only have a short time to wait now.
I woke up feeling very down this morning. I have no idea why, but I was really thinking negative thoughts for the first time during this 2WW. Then, fortunately I had a very, very busy day at work. It could not have come at a better time because it kept my mind occupied all day! Now my rollercoaster has swung upwards again & I'm feeling better about things.
Hope everyone has a good evening, Welcome to the thread Tita. We can all relate to how you're feeling.

Thanks so much 2nd Timer for allaying my fears. I am on the suppositories. And that's right-only one more day till testing! Glad that you're feeling better after work. I also say 'thank G-d!' for work, it's my saving grace. I am also feeling calmer today. I think that the suspense is the hardest part. Have a wonderful day to you and all you great ladies!

Tita- As you could see, we all get nervous/down/anxious, and can definitely relate to what you're going through. Breathe, think positive, and testing day will come sooner than you think. :)

Later, brave women!

Hi Everyone

Well I tested early last night because it was DH's last night at home. You were right I shouldn't have done it. It was negative so I was really upset which didn't make it a great last night for DH. So I have lost all of my hope - I am sure it won't have changed by tomorrow as it was only 36 hours early. Feeling really depressed today as it just means that I have to start all over again with this IVF thing with all the heartache and expense all over again.

Still doing the pessaries until tomorrow just in case. No sign of AF yet but I am sure it will appear shortly.

I had a glass of wine last night - the first drop of alcohol for 10 weeks (I gave up completely for the IVF). Felt pretty drunk with just one glass and had a really bad headache this morning!!

Dropped DH off at the airport this morning so feeling pretty low all around really.

Anyway sorry to bring you all down as I know you are all doing really well with your PMAs. Good luck everyone for tomorrow.

Ros-
First of all, sorry you're feeling so down. Sure it can't be easy that your husband had to leave today. As far as the test goes, it really might have been a bit early. I'd try again tomorrow, or in a few days. I've read too many stories similar to yours which ended up being positive in the end to give up on you. Whatever the outcome though, we're here for you. Hope you feel better soon. :D
