hcg levels....help scared to death!

Hi all, This is my first time on the site --- I been through invitro 4 times, this is my second time pg(had an ectopic last time). I just found out this Thursday that my test was positive-- of course we're estatic!!! BUT scared to death - I have to go for three pg tests to check my hcg levels and supposedly they should be doubling. My first levels were 176 and now my second levels came back yesterday at 240(so that means they did not double).. Has anyone else ever had this-- I am now scared to death! The nurse told me its nothing to be alarmed about! I have to go back on Monday for my third pg test to see what my levels are then.. Does anyone have any insight on this. Hi Annette I'm sorry I can't help with your question, to be honest my clinic never discussed the HCG level with me they just said I had a strong positive. I hope all goes well please let us know how it goes and I hope and pray all is ok for you. Love Shell. xx

Hi Annette, Sorry can't help with hcg levels - my clinic just told me mine were increasing and that they were happy woth that. Hope you got on ok at the hospital today - let us know! Take care, Di

Thanks to those who responded.. Went for my blood draw today and my numbers did double. I am going back once more on Wednesday just to check them once more, but the nurse said she's happy with what she sees... So thanks and I'll keep you all updated. Annette
