2nd beta only 50 higher

this is my 1st cycle and on Monday 12/4/07 we got a positive BFP. We are so excited; beta was 94 and now my 2nd test only went up to 144. Should I be worried?? Can someone please give some advice?? thanks

I would think as long as it is going up you are good. Betas are sometimes tricky and misleading. When do you test again? Is your Dr happy with it? I would think the next Beta would be the one they want to see. I was tested 9dpt, 11 and then 16. Hope everything turns out ok.

This just happened to me too. My first beta was 437 on day 14. Today at day 16 it's only 697, which is just a 63% increase. Now I'm worried because the MD office said they like to see it double.
Has anyone had a successful pregnancy with the beta not doubling?

Hi ladies, my clinic only do one beta, so not much help, however i have read on here many times that the doubling should be within 48-72 hours so anything above 60% is ok.
2ndtimer, i would not worry too much sounds like a very healthy beta.

Thanks for the info ladies. I am testing again on Wed- 12/12. My doc says that I should be fine, that all my other levels look good and the fact that this one did go up is a good sign. A lot of things I have read lately say that my count would have doubled at 78 hrs and because I tested at 48 it didn't have a full time to make it up there. I just hope and pray for Wed's test to be way up!

My first beta was 52. Two days later it was only 81. I had read that your beta should double by at least 60%. Mine didnt, but I have a very lively toddler to show for it now!

Wishing you all the best. I know it's easy to say dont worry (Thats all I did until my first scan) but just remember that we dont all follow the text books.
