Hi Trace,
Think I've just posted for you on the general side!
I've only ever had grade 1 embies - and after 10 tmt's on only 2 did we get to +ve result. Am now 12 weeks pg.
At the support group I used to run we actually all wanted grade 2 and 3 (nicknamed motheaten embies) as they seemed to be the ones who implanted!!
Good luck and I'll be watching out for your posts over the next 2 weeks!
Di

Traci - hi, hope it all went OK. Don't stress about Embryo grades - so many people have positives with standard grade ones, I dont even know why they grade them to be honest cos it only either builds false hope that its a dead cert with grade ones, or worries you if they're a "lower" grade - rest and relax is the key. We're all with you.

Jo. XXXXX
Traci

I totally agree with Jo, don't pay too much attention to the grading, I have had top grade embryo's put back a number of times with no success, and am now pg with an average blastocyst (5 day fert embryo), so don't worry!

Good Luck!!!!

D x
Me 34, DH, 37. Married for 11 years, ttc for 6+, failed 4 x fresh IVF tmts. 5th attempt at Lister Hospital gave us Megan on 5 April 2004 with a very straightforward pregnancy and labour. Attempt number 6 to start hopefully September 2007!
Hi Traci

I can't believe you've finally reached this stage - I'm so pleased for you. I totally agree with Jo and Dawn but to put your mind at rest, when I had my last embies put back mine were 'moth-eaten' as Di describes them! I had 2 x grade 2.5 and 2 x grade 3, they were very fragmented and didn't look like they had a hope in hell of working. I wrote my cycle off at this point, so was doubly shocked to find out I am expecting twins!! So both my moth-eaten embies worked, so hang on in there girl. Keep drinking the water and lots of rest and I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Love nikolaxx
Please don't worry about your grades - I had two ICSI cycles using 2 fresh grade 1's which failed, but this time, using 2 frozen grade 2's and a grade 2.5 resulted in our first ever positive. There doesn't seem to be any hard and fast rules, so everything crossed for you getting a positive.

Good luck
Nicola x
(19 weeks tomorrow)
