Nicaliw- I'm so sorry, I didn't read the thread today before posting; I now wish I had, but I just wanted to let everyone know and get off line. The girls are right, though. Hang in there... your little bean needs every ounce of hope and strength you have. It's strange, you never know what's going to happen... many have bleeding which result in normal delivery; I didn't have any bleeding whatsoever... don't give up hope. You just never know.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words and support.

Hi everyone!

Hope- I am so sorry for your loss. There's nothing anyone can really say to make things better. Keep in mind you CAN get pregnant and WILL. Good luck in the future. Hugs.

Nicali- I know things don't seem too positive for you right now but Vicky is right. Try and stay strong for the beanie. Everything could work out in the end.

Jayne- I'm sorry about your inlaw. But you have twins and they do not and like it was said you will probably deliver before them b/c twins do come earlier AND your pregnancy is more special b/c you worked hard to get it. Unlike them where it just happened.

Vickers- Congrats on the twins!! I'm having twins as well.

Kristi- Welcome!

Vicky- I'm glad you are off your bedrest and are up and moving around. I understand about the cooking smells. I have issues with certain smells too. I don't know it till it happens.

As for me I am officially done with my IVF meds!! Now I'm just taking my vitamins and tums (for calcium and upset tummy). My stomach has been hurting the past couple days which seems to be going around at work. I have found sipping on green tea helps settles it. My next appt is dec 20th! Ugh it feels so far away. I'm still very tired and wish I could stop waking up in the middle of the night. I can't remember the last time I slept through the night !

I hope everyone else is doing well.

Hi ladies,
Hope and NicaliW, so sorry to hear about your rough few days. It's such an awful time, the waiting. I have lost it a few times and am only hanging in there by a thread this morning. I know my body so bloody well unfortunatley and can always predict when I think something is not right. I stopped the baby aspirin 3 days ago upon advise from my nurse and last night I was getting cramps. I told DH that this was it again. All over and to expect a bleed in the night. Well I am still on tenderhooks but the cramps seem to have subsided but I did need to get up in the night with 2 bouts of diarhhea (sorry TMI). Yesterday I had 3 loose bowel movts after being constipated for the past 2 weeks. I am hoping this is not the progesterone dropping off. I also felt cold yesterday when I had been feeling hot. I know I am over analyzing everything, but it's just so damn hard. I did have a binge on some chocolate last night and after cutting out all caffeine for so long, do you think the diarrhhea might have been an overdose to the caffeine in that? I'm just not sure. Anyways, no blood yet and 6 weeks today. Anyone else experienced this?

So I'm on constant knicker check now. AGH. I am going crazy. I go in for bloods again tomorrow morning. I opted for early pregnancy monitoring for this BFP so I can always be a step ahead of myself and know exactly what's going on. My clinic never does repeat betas unless the first is on the low side but I insisted!!

Great to hear everyones news, and all the twins... Go girls! I can't imagine what it's like to see that heartbeat on the u/s. If I get that far to next thurs, I will be a blubbering mess.

Once again, thoughts are with NicaliW and Hope. There really is nothing worse. NicaliW hang in there til you know for sure.

Lots love,
Dex xox

So sorry to hear your news Hope and NicaliW, I echo Dexter's words -hang in there.

Sorry to hear you are on tenterhooks Dexter but there's no sure sign of anything wrong from what you desribe. I've also had cramps, and twinges and quick sharp pains - it's very nerve racking.

I just had my week 10 blood test but I will hear nothing for 2 weeks. It is going to be agony to wait. The results are combined with the 12 week scan and will give me a result for likelihood of Downs/other problems.

I am trying to forget about it - at least I have the house move to keep me busy  - who would move in the first trimester????

Interesting to hear about our food habits. Jayne - I have also gone off vegetables - I used to be very good with my greens - broccoli, salad - now it's yuck! But a baked spud and cheese - now we're talking. Am trying to eat fruit to try and be somewhat healthy.

Vicky - glad you are off bedrest - are you going back to work? So jealous that you got another scan!

Hi to everyone else. Better do some work.

You are all such wonderful ladies, so supportive. I am so thankful I found this message board.

Dexter, I now know how the constant knicker check feels. It makes me feel like I'm a little crazy cause when I'm at home I do it wherever I am if I feel the slightest feeling down there. It sounds like everything may be OK for you. if you're not bleeding, thats a good sign.

Kimberli, must feel great to be done with all the meds. I know I still fell like I run a pharmacy at my house. The ladies that work at my local pharmacy know me now....wierd.

Hope, no need for appologies. Your loss is significant and I am so sorry you have to go through this. maybe next time is our time.

Vicky, thanks again for your words of encouragemnt. I wish I could be positive. You know how it is. I need to be realistic and be prepared for Monday. I wish so much I could stick around here for the next 8 months. Well, only God knows what the future holds and he always knows what is best, so I will accept whatever he sends my way and keep going.

Jen - you are the sweetest. I know your loss was not so long ago, I am glad to hear that you are doing well. After 1 day, it's encouraging to hear from others who have been through this. You have the most positive attitude and it's such a breath of fresh air during a time like this. I hope that all your tests go well and you find that you are all set for your little snowbabies in March. You are definitely in my thoughts & prayers.

I was thinking about frozen embies - and wanted to ask how well that has worked for all of you. We were very disappointed after both ERs that we had no embies to make it to blast & freeze. Both times, we had 7 embies, most in the mid-to-high quality range. This last time, we had 3 grade 1s (our best grade) transferred only 2 and still the 3rd didn't make it. Can anyone else relate?

Hi everyone,
Quick update. The toilet woes have sorted themselves out and I'm back to being constipaed again - woohoo. Can't believe I'm writing this :-/

On a terribly sad note... my darling precious angel of a cockatiel died this morning after a short illness and DH and I are sobbing our heads off. We loved her so much. We had her 6 years and she was the most beautiful bird. I have such a heavy heart. DH could not bring himself to leave her this morn so I had to get my own way to bloods this morn. We are having her cremated and will spread the ashes somewhere lovely when we find our new house. I just feel so sad right now. She was DHs number one girl.

I'll check in again later. Hoping everyone is doing OK. Sorry for the down message, I just feel like this is such a good place to share your feelings when the rest of the world laughs and thinks it's just a dumb bird.

RIP my Jezzabelle. Thankyou for everything you darling little soul.

Hi ladies,

Hope, regarding FET's, my clinic do 2 day transfers and the embies are also frozen at 2 days old. Defrosted checked and popped back in at 2 days.I know a lot of US clinics will only freeze blasts and i dont understand why. i have done 3 FET's and got pregnant on all three, it was due to my now discovered clotting problem that i was losing them. i only transferred two 2 day old 4 cell embies and both took.I wish you well with your next go.Hugs

Dexter, sorry about your cockatiel, our pets are like family to us, of course it hurts when they die. Hugs to you. Hope your blood work comes back ok.

Niclaw, please hang in there, i know its hard, but they did see the sack and you've had no bleeding since? it was far too early to see a heartbeat. Keep up the PMA, good luck for Monday.

Angie, were they your blood tests to go with the Nuchal scan? good luck with that. Hows the house move going? when do you actually move? my sister once moved on christmas eve, it was a noghtmare. Good luck.

Vicky, how you doing, back at work yet?

Hi to everyone i've missed.

As for me, got the weekend off, so going to make my christmas pudding, and wrap some prezzies. Counting the days till Monday, getting a bit nervous about it again now, but i'm sure alls fine. will we ever stop worrying?

Dexter, so sorry about your bird. We have a cockatiel too, they have such personality.

beachbaby, thanks for the words of encouragement.

update on me.....still no bleeding or pain. Actually, the cramping I had since embryo transfer has even gone. Not sure if thats good. I am having terrible night sweats, does anyone else wake up just so hot and sweaty?? I woke up at 3.30 this morning and was nauseous and really hungry. I'm trying to stay positive and hope that this is a sign I'm stll pregnant. I have also noticed that one minute I'm not hungry, the next minute I feel like I'm starving. Anyone else feel this way? OK, so I maybe dwelling on symptoms but I so badly want my baby to still be alive. Only 3 more sleeps til we find out. 8)

Nicaliw, yes i was waking up sweating, not so much now, i put it down to the pregnancy also, have read it somewhere that we get hotter. Can also associate with the hunger, ok one minute, starving the next. sounds like your still on track. not long now.

Hi there!!!!

Kimberly....so jealouos you are already finished with your meds!!, I still have until next Monday, that will be the last PIO shot! whoohoooo!!. I also have my next appt on Dec 20th! what a coincidence, and yes, it seems like foreverrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

Nicaliw....only a couple of days for you to see your baby!!, you must be so anxious!!!!!. I am sure everything will be ok, try to relax now and enjoy your weekend!!! About your symptoms, I have them too, I am also hungry all of a sudden and it barely gives me time to make it to the kitchen!!

Dexter....I am so sorry about your pet, I have a dog, he is a chocolate lab and if anything would ever happen to him I don't know what I am going to do, he is my baby. So I totally understand what you are going through! I am so sorry!!

Jayne....I am sorry, I don't quite remember, do you have another appt this Monday? (sorry, I tend to forget things lately  ).

Angie.....how's the move going?, must be crazy huh!. At least you have a great excuse to be lazy, think that you would have moved anyway if you were not pregnant and you would have had to work double or more than you are working now, so enjoy!!!!!!!!!!

As per me, counting the days to the 20th for my next appt when I will finally be able to listen to the baby's heart rate. I am soooooo tempted to get a doppler that you can't imagine. My DH is forbidding me to get one at the moment, he says I will go crazy with it

Hi everyone-

Dexter I am so sorry for your loss of your cockatiel. Our pets are family and its hard everytime we lose one. Hugs.

Nicali- It sounds as if things are going in the right direction. I get hot easier now especially at night. I've had to wear lighter pjs instead of my regular winter ones. Also I'm ok one min and starving the next. I completely understand your symptoms. It's crazy but its pregnancy and it sound like that is exactly what you are. So try and relax and think positively.

Vicky- Don't get a doppler. You sound a lot like me and I know I'd have that thing on every chance I got. So don't bother. You will become obsessed and you can't always hear the beats b/c of position etc.. and of course that will drive you nuts b/c one min you hear it then you don't you'll stress yourself out. I agree the 20th is so far away. However I keep telling myself that nothing is wrong and all is well.

Not too much going on with me. Trying to keep my tummy happy which is getting hard to do b/c I never know what I'm in the mood to eat but nees to eat! I want to start cleanin out our second bedroom to create the nursery but can't till after the holidays. Just gotta keep waiting. Ugh.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi lovelies,

Well it's a new day today and we are coming to terms with the loss of our beautiful birdie. DH still sobing from time to time..mainly when he comes home and she's not there to greet him and in the morning when he cuts up all her treats and has to hold the budgie at bay (who is always competing for the attention!) WE are having her cremated and get her ashes next week, so at least that's something. Dear little angel. Thanks for all your support and messages. Nice to know someone understands.

Good news..Bloods came back at 42 000 at 29dpo, so that's my 3rd beta done and over. 15dpo - 250, 22dpo - 6000, 29dpo - 42 000. Nurse said it was "perfect", so I'll take that for the time being. Scan is on Thursday. Won't be able to sleep Wed night

Had a girls night out last night to celebrate a girlfriend's bday. Wow what a different experience not being able to have a drink!! Have only told my best friend that we are "PUPO" - 'pregnant til proven otherwise' and as soon as I got there she got me a drink (lime and soda) in a wine glass to disguise the secret. Was very funny watching everyone get progressively sloshed. Managed to get my hands on some alcohol free champagne that will be my best buddy over the festive season. Just so I can keep the secret  I have a Xmas party on a boat on beautiful Sydney harbour on Monday - fully catered for! Do you think anyone will notice if I sneak on my special champagne? Gosh I just don't want to tell anyone yet. There's another couple on the boat who have been trying to get pg through IVF for at least another 3 years before us, so I am extremely sensitive to how that will make them feel. I know how hard it was for me.

Well ladies, all looking good. NicaliW good luck with your scan. Am thinkng of you.

As for symptoms for me, BBs starting to get a little sore and get queezy only when I don't eat regularly. Haven't got any aversions to anything yet, but as you all know now, perhaps I need to stay away from chocolate

Take care,

Vicky, not sure the dopplers work so well. The ones the doctors use are have way better sensitivity than the ones you can buy in the store. I looked at the reviews people had written about them and a lot of people said they couldn't hear a thing or they didn't hear anything until the last trimester. Your DH may have a good point, it would be wonderful to hear your babies heart beat but if you can't find it will you be worried?
