Thank you Lisa... I know how difficult it must have been for you to write it all out. I am sure there is not one day that will go by without each of us thinking of you and Jeff and praying for you. We do so hope to hear of a new pregnancy sooner than later... I hope you will stay in touch with me via email so we can share updates and news and share your dreams come true...

WC!!! B/G twins?!?!?! Wow!!! Congrats sweetie!! I go for my level II on Monday at 1pm EST. I am nervous but excited. So are you having a lot of pressure sitting too long? Like you I too have to get so much done before I get too big to move. I am having difficulty already and I STILL keep doing too much. I can't help it - I have LAZY males in my life and its ALL my fault because I have always been the doer...

Babyb - don't worry about your stomach "pops" - I get them too and all they are from are adhesions from internal injury due to surgery, brusing or simply the way you are inside. The first "pop" I had was right where my appendectomy scar is. I must have had an adhesion that tore off whatever it was sticking too. If you don't feel anything now and you're not in pain then it was most likely that.

Where are we all ladies???? I hope you are all feeling well... its not a great Christmas for me this year but I know it will all get better.

love you all...

Lisa..There are no words to express how truly sorry I am for your loss. I will pray for you and your family.

An update at 15 weeks - I went for an U/S on Thursday, so I would have been 14 weeks 6 days, and the tech was able to tell that I was certainly having 1 girl, and they think the other is a girl too. Yikes! My son and husband are definately in for it ;) Everything will be confirmed on the 10th of January, when I have my Level II. I was suprised that she could see, but when she pointed it out, it was pretty clear. We have yet to see a good image of Baby B as she (?) is higher up, and more squished! She of course did say to not buy any clothes just yet, or paint the nursery! HA - If she only knew..even if she were certain, I am NO WHERE ready to do any of that!!

Does anyone itch? Specifically on their face????? My face has been itching CRAZY!!! I woke up this am thinking there was a little rash, as it was a little puffy....and No! it is not because my face is getting big and stretching or anything! I have not changed ANY of the make-up, facial soap, toner or facial cream...so strange!!!! It is especially around my eyes....????

WC - I have been reading your posts for a long time. Congrats on seeing that things are going well with the babies, and for B/G! That is very very cool!!

Cocoa - Can't wait to hear about the U/S! Are you going to find out what you are having?

Off to DisneyWorld for a week - Hope everyone does well over the next few busy weeks!!!

Hello Ladies,

Lisa, my heart breaks for you and your husband. You are so brave to share what happened with us. I think of you and your family each and every day. I will be anxiously awaiting happier news from you!

Cocoa, that is so exciting! I can't believe you are having one of each! That was my husband's dream! :-) That will make decorating more of a challenge. Do you have any ideas yet?

Kelley, I can't believe they could tell at 15 weeks! Lucky you! Congrats on the 2 little girls!

My husband and I can't wait to know what we are having. Therefore, with my doctor's blessing, I had a gender determination ultrasound yesterday at one of those 3d places. Unfortunately, my little one wants to keep his/her gender a secret a little longer! He/she was face down with legs crossed and bent. :-( I sort of expected that. I get to go back again in 2 weeks (I will be 18 1/2 weeks) for free. If they still can't tell, I have my 20 week Jan. 3rd.

Has anyone picked out names yet? I am Jewish, my hubby is not, but we are going to name in the Jewish tradition. We use the first letter of the name of a deceased relative. We have an M & an S to work with. If I have a girl, we will use an M for my two grandpas & one grandma & her name will be Madeleine. If we have a boy, we will use an S for my grandma and his name will be Shane. Currently, I call the baby both names. Weird? Some days I think it is a girl and some days I am sure it is a boy. People keep asking me if I have a feeling either way & I don't. Anyone else?

Well, I am off to work. I have a huge project for my Master's class to work on today! Have a great week!

:-) Michelle

Lisa,

So sorry for your loss.

SAD STORY ABOUT STILL BORN ABOUT TO COME: I had a close friend who got pg through IVF and went to the DR b/c she stopped feeling the baby kick (she was 1 day past her due date) and she ended up delivering her still born baby. I was amazed at her strength in getting through such a tragedy, and eventhough I don't know you, I pray that God will strengthen you and your DH as He did my friend. Be courageous and don't give up on your dreams.

Lisa I'm so sorry to hear about your little ones. It's devastating to read as it's the biggest fear I'm sure every one of us has. I really don't know what else to say, it's just made me realise how delicate a situation we're all in. I only hope you succeed if you try again.

It's been ages since I posted because I've had a very traumatic week. I went to the ER on Saturday 12/1 with really bad abdominal pains. I was literally bent double and couldn't stand up without excrutiating pain. They did all the routine stuff & questions, and then did an internal examination. The doctor was THE worst I've ever had. He literally rammed the speculum in and really hurt me. My cervix is apparently tilted back so can be difficult to see sometimes. After a few minutes he stopped as I was in so much pain (his fault). He said he could not see my cervix clearly but it looked closed. Not conclusive. Then he did a scan and both babies were in there moving around so looked OK. They couldn't explain the abdo pain so kept me in on Saturday night. Still in some pain Sunday so they kept me in overnight again. Monday they got some blood test results back and it showed an infection so they put me on antibiotics for a week and sent me home. I take my last dose of antibiotics today. They still haven't really explained anything to me...they said it could be loads of things...a stomach infection of some sort, or any other organ. So I'm feeling better now and the pain is gone but I'm still very worried that everything is OK.

The health service here in the uk just SUCKS. I have no confidence in them whatsoever. The annoying thing is that we pay for BUPA private health care but they don't cover pregnancy related issues.

Kelley - welcome!! Pleased to have you on board! Re: twin prams...we were looking the other week. I wanted a one in front of the other because of it being easier fitting through doors. Looked at the Jayne powertwin but only the rear seat is suitable for newborn. This seems to be the case with all front/back models out there. You can add a "car seat" to the front in order to take 2 newborns, but you can only leave them in it for short periods of time as they do not lay flat in these seats. I didn't really want a side by side configuration because they are so wide...I wouldn't even be able to get it in my front door! But...looking like this is the only option. I've seen some good ones where you can get 2 seperate moses baskets side by side. Quite handy because they are proper baskets that they could sleep in if you were to visit somebody or even stay overnight in them.

Love to all,

Hayley xxxx

Cocoa, I saw your Ali-Snow post just checking in to let you know that I am alive and well. Sorry I don't post much but I do try to keep up on everyone. Baby and I are fine I found out last week I am having a girl "Olivia" it was my detailed scan at the hospital with the perionatologist, where they check growth, organs, bones, etc. doctor said that everything looked really good she is still measuring about a week big but not enough to change my due date. He also said he would like to see me agagin in 6-8 weeks to monitor her growth because this is an IVF prganancy but with the info from that scan they can rule out any major defects or problems Yea! I have my monthly chek-up tomorrow with my regular ob and as usually hoping all is well. So glad to see that for the most part all of you ladies are doing so good. My heart breaks for Lisa I know how it feels to lose a baby but can't imagine at that stage. I will try to post more often wishing everyone a Merry Christmas or Happy Holiday which every pertains!

Ali - glad to hear from you!!! Stay in touch every now and again to let us know how sweet Olivia is growing :-) Congrats on your little girl!!! I think ANY gender is wonderful - children are wonderful. I know we are all praying for Lisa and Jeff and will continue until they have that cherished baby in their arms.

Well, girls - I had my level II today and I had a sonographer who was a DOCTOR in Georgia (what used to be part of the Soviet Union). She was a pure doll and I was so very blessed... Here's the stats... cervix just over 40mm (or 4cm), long and closed - PRAISE GOD!!!! Whew... She said the babies were measuring perfectly and they are BOTH 13oz!!! Baby A is a girl and Baby B is a boy!!! Just like I thought (I kept saying 'she' for A and 'he' for B too). I just LOVE my son so much I was soooo happy when she said I was having another boy!!! My poopey DH wanted a girl so everyone is happy (my son just wants a sibling :D )

I am thinking about the name Tara (a place in Ireland where clans met during the equinoxes and vernixes [sp?] for the big festivals - very important place) for a girl but I am stuck about a boy name - I do know I want the middle name to be Kevin but a first name alludes me... so if I get stuck guess who will be first named Kevin? And for those of you thinking this... no, my DH has no say... I am carrying them and stretching my old body out for this so the call is all mine 8) Also, I do have to go back for a Baby B spinal check as she could not get a view at all (he was squirmy). I hear that this happens a lot with twins and you wind up having so many U/S sometimes. I just had God on my side with being able to see everything on both except the spine on my boy. She said from what she did see that it looked good. I go back to take another peek on Jan 7th. I can't believe all this technology that has changed since I had my son 14 years ago!

Vlada, I can't wait for Friday!!! I just know you're having a girl!!! We'll see...

WC!!! We're both having B/G twins! How awesome is THAT?!?!?

Ladies - keep praying for one another and for Lisa and Jeff - they really need courage and strength at this time.

Love to you all...

I went for my 20 wk scan yesterday, my baby is showing as 20wk 2 days - does that mean it will come early or just that it will be a BIG one?

It was hard to get a clear view this time, the baby was in breach position and quite curled up, but everything seemed okay, all the measurements for heart, brain etc seemed to be good.

I didn't ask the sex, although I don't think they would have been able to see it even if I did. I was a little bit disappointed not to see better pictures, but obviously please all is ok! So I can't wait for my 4d scan in January now.

I took my mum with me, it really made her day, of course when I was born there were no such things as scans.

I am so full of energy right now, people keep telling me not to do too much, but its so hard...there is just so much to do and only 20 wks left to do it! I went shopping last night for the clinic xmas party, I got totally carried away and had 8 bags of shopping (and still more to get), but forgot I hadn't taken the car, luckily I only live 1/2 mile from the shop.....but it felt like 10miles!

I hope everyone is keeping well, love to you all

Mandy
