Hi, this is my second attempt at IVF and I'm new to this site. I just had my ER on November 25th and my ET on November 28th. My next appointment for a pregnancy test is December 12th. Of course like all others in my position the waiting is painful!
So far I've been taking home pregnancy tests since the day after my ET. At first it read positive, (I know this is false due to the hormones), for the first couple of days. Now the test are showing negative which leads me to believe that in the next few days if I get a faint pink positive line then I would be pregnant
My Question is: How long after an ET have any ladies seen even a faint pregnancy line on a HPT?
I saw a very, very faint positive 6dp5dt (3 days before office blood test) I, like you, tested often, but not quite as early. If you haven't already seen it you might find this site quite interesting peeonastick.com
Good luck, I hope you get your BFP

I did the same thing ummm 3 days after my ET; shame on us...it was a faint positive, i took one the day after that and it was negative, I have purchased sooooo many HPT, I am not going to test again. My friend said her test was neg. she is now 6mo. pregnant.
You need to use a highly sensitive test, one that picks up 25miu or less. I'd recommend first response and you will quite possibly get a clear visible line on there at 11 dpo. I got my first at 6 days past 5 day transfer, which is the same as 8dp 3dt. Everyone is different though and my first test as 5dp 5dt was a clear negative. If you're carrying twins you're also more likely to show up on a hpt earlier as there'll be more hcg in your system. Good luck!

Thanks for all the input. I know I shouldn't do this to myself, but I just can't help it. Today is 6 days after the day of my transfer so I know it's still really early.
Last time we did IVF I remember having a BFP a few days before my appt. I wish I had written all that information down to know exactly how many days before. I ended up losing the baby at 9 weeks due to a blood clotting condition I have. Now that the dr. knows this he is going to put me on Lovenox this time....if I'm pregnant.
I have been using the First Response and yes it is getting a bit pricey
I will keep you posted. This is an awesome site!!!
I am now 11dp3dt and I took another hpt early this morining around 1:30 am when I had to go to the restroom...it was bfn. My beta appointment is coming up this Wednesday so I know there is still hope and that I may be testing too early. The negative results really saddens me because for my last IVF cycle I had a BFP on a hpt by this time. I ended up losing the baby at nine weeks though.
Right now, I just need some more stories about women who did a HPT and had negative results but then got a postive result for the beta test.
Hi! I took my first HPT last night at 8dp3dt. My ER was on the 28th and ET was on the 1st, so I triggered 12 days ago. Anyway, I got a faint, but distinct positive line. I am now questioning whether that is still the HCG from the trigger shot. I did use the good HPT - First Response. Now I am scared to test again and get a BFN!! My pregnancy test is Dcc. 14th. What does everyone think about the test I did yesterday?
TinaBabyWish - I went back and read posts from months ago on this and LOTS of women tested negative up until they did the blood test. It seems to be all over the place! If you look back at a couple of months ago, some women who ended up with twins seemed to get nothing but BFN's on HPT's and then BAM - they are pregnant! Keep thinking positive thoughts. That is all you can control. It takes embryos different timeframes to implant. Some implant quickly and others hang around for a while before they do. I am reading the book "The Secret" and it really made me aware of the power of thinking positive. So, hang in there girl and I will be hoping for your BFP!!!

I never, ever, ever had a positive HPT. Not even the day before my beta and here I am pg with twins. Those HPT's are the devil and my fisrt beta was a pretty low number as well. Cheer up and stay positive!!!!!!!
Good luck to you!

I just did my transfer today and they are going to do the pregnancy test in 10 days, on the 22nd. With a hpt, anything less than 12 days is probably early with a regular pg so I don't know....it's going to be hard for me not to test before the 22nd!
