Tina THAT IS SO AWESOME!!! That's so funny you took so many tests! It must have been crazy waiting for the result of every single one, then you must have jumped for joy each time!!! Make sure you LET US KNOW what your beta number is Thursday, and some info, like what is a non-pregnant beta, what is the normal beta, and what range would be considered high. lol..

mkdig and Steph, sounds like you're on the same cycle and will both have IUI around the same time. that's great.

kery, take advantage of your break. holidays can be stressful and i bet it will be nice to (try and) forget about it for a few weeks. rejuvinate!!

my 2ww will end around christmas. would be a bummer to get AF on christmas. but hey, it's not gonna arrive, is it?!!

Wow! Tina that's so exciting. I'm really pleased for you.
Good luck with the bloods. Tomorrow's a big day for me as I've got my first scan. I'm feeling really nervous. I don't feel pregnant yet so don't think I'll really believe it till I see the scan.
I didn't have any blood tests but did do 3 hpt's in the first week :D

I'm so pleased for you. When's your scan?

I had my scan today and it was all good. One little embie measuring 3.5mm (just over 6 weeks) and a perfect little hearbeat flickering away.
I feel so relieved, maybe I can allow myself to believe it now.

Hi All,
Had my IUI yesterday. Had three good eggs, but my DH count and motility were not that great. :? Oh well. If it happens, it happens, but I'm not too hopeful. But at the same time, we had a good talk with the doc and he agreed that we should stop trying IUI and move to IVF. I'm going to call soon and see how far ahead the IVF doc is booking. If it's not till Feb or so, I'll make the appointment. Otherwise, I'll wait and see if AF arrives or not, probably a few days after Christmas.

So aside from not being to optimistic about the IUI, we're excited about knowing we'll be trying something new. And I'll probably be able to take a month off, a nice break from all the driving!!

Steph, Did your AF arrive yet?

Mkdig, good luck next week!!!!

Hello

Post by stephjim »

Hello all!!

Got my scan yesterday and unfortunately, there was either, the same humongo follicle still hanging out on the left ovary or there was a large cyst.

The doctor has canceled this month now as well to see if it goes away. I had a large follicle show up on day 12 last cycle on that same ovary which is why he canceled that one. Has anyone ever heard of a follicle not being absorbed? He could not tell if it was a follicle or a cyst. Either way, it was another disappointment on my road to motherhood.

I am hoping that all of these delays are a sign that I am going to get a natural pregnancy soon. I am trying to keep my head up, but it is difficult to just wait, as all of you know.

Steph, I would love to give you my AF, this one was super painful for some reason. But I know you guys will start soon and you will then be on your way to a BFP.

Mainknitter, I have all of my fingers and toes crossed for you. You have some chance.

Sorry I did not get on yesterday. We have my stepkids for a week and spent the day with my stepdaughter. In fact, she came with me to my appt. She was mesmerized by all the equipment. She is 13 and has started her cycle, but has not gone to a gynocologist yet. She was seriously weirded out by the device used to do the US. She did not understand why there was a condom on it. She thought it was to protect us from AIDS. Smile It was very amusing. So, that helped the blow a little bit.

Wishing for all the baby dust to be on all of us waiting. I also, wish all of you a very merry Christmas and Hanakaha.

hey stephjim, Im so sorry your cycle was cancelled. the waiting is so hard. How will they tell if its a cyst or not? Are they just hoping it will go away? I have never heard of a follicle just hanging around, but what i dont know about if is a lot!! Keep your sprits up and enjoy the holidays, keep us posted!!

stephjim, that sucks! it's so frustrating  my doc has told me in the past that cysts can hang on for a couple months, that's why they put you on the pill. must be something about the pill having stronger hormones to get rid of them or something. where you on bcp?

drained

Post by lkamnik »

This is my first time on this website and I thought I would see if there is anyone else out there feeling the same as I do. I've been through 3 rounds of clomid and I'm now onto Menopur. Then I will have an iui. The whole process is draining me emotionally and I feel alone. My friends all seem to get pregnant right away and it makes me wonder why this is happening to me.

I'm on day 23 of taking the menopur and I'm only halfway there. My doctor doesn't think my body can carry more than one child, so he's put me on a really low dose. I'm just tired. Does anyone felse feel like this?

Honestly I think we all feel like that at times. Dealing with if is so hard sometimes. I am about to do my fourth iui and EVERYONE I know is getting pregnant. Its hard at times. This forum and others I have found really help me not feel so alone. Even just reading others stories make me realize how many of us there are! Try to keep your spirits up and I hope you get your bfp really soon! In the meantime we will all be here cheering you on!
