Yeah, I was a little surprised by the number as it was only 12dp3dt, but I guess we will know more next week. I go back in on Monday for another blood test. The RE mentioned not doing the scan until the 1st of the year. Was he high??? I am not waiting that long. No way!!! I think it is going to be tough as I think the office kind of shuts down over Christmas. Anyway, I guess the soonest they will see me will be 6 weeks. Long time to wait!!! I guess this is what Angie means by the next 2ww!! :D

Thanks to all of you for all your support and good wishes. It means a lot to me. I think my husband and I are still in shock!! :) :)

P.S. Where is Vicky?

Tina- maybe this 2ww will go by quicker because it is the holidays and you will be so busy. That is what I am counting on anyway. I want these last weeks to go quickly, I can't wait to have this baby!!
I think I got my first scan at 5weeks 3days. All I could see was a black blob. But that let us know we only had one in there. I got scans twice a week until 7 weeks, then once a week until I was 11 weeks. Then they sent me to the ob/gyn and I didn't get another scan until 20 weeks. It was torture. Really mean to just cut us off like that!

Hey girls, sorry I've been MIA, I'll tell you later why (nothing to worry about  )

Tina.........WHOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!, congratulations!!!!!!, that is such a strong beta!!!!!. I am very happy for you!!!. 6 weeks is more or less the time when most of us got our first scans, and in a way is good, cause all you see at the beginning is just a blob, so the closer you are to seeing the actual HB the better!, at least that was what I thought!!!. Congrats again!!!

The reason why I was kind of dissappeared was because I was getting too nervous reading all the sad stories at the Pg after Tmt thread, for some reason I always go and read the sad stories from pg that go wrong, and it was driving me crazy, not being able to enjoy thinking something like that could happen to me, etc etc etc. So, basically my DH (and me too) almost prohibited me from reading any more stuff. So that is why I was dissapeared. I guess I will try to only come to our Sistahood and try not to ready anything else..........I know, it sounds crazy, but I guess each of us respond differently to the things we read, and in my case, it was hurting me.......

Will keep in touch with the sistas, so don't worry about that.......

Vicky- I don't go to that side of the boards either! The same thing happened to me. You can drive yourself crazy thinking- that could be me. You are almost out of your first trimester!!! I'm so excited for you. Stay away from places that bring you down. This is YOUR time, enjoy it!

good morning girls....

I need some support as my CHI is in danger. I had called the clinic about a month or so ago letting them know I would like to do an FET on my December cycle. I have been going to the acupuncturist and taking the herbs for 2 months and feeling great. Knowing that I can't sustain my rock and roll fertility lifestyle forever I thought it was best to strike soon. So I get an email from the coordinator who lets me know I can transfer after Christmas "around the first of the year". So I wait and I wait and I didn't get a schedule. On Thursday I email her asking if she has a schedule for me so I can stock up on my drugs and stop taking those damn birth control pills and I get a reply back on Friday with a schedule that has me transferring on the 15th of January. Well as most of you know I am a teacher and have these two weeks off for Christmas and New Years and that is why I chose this time. I cried most of the day and was so upset, but don't you think I have a right to be? The first and the fifteenth are two weeks apart. That isn't just a few days off the mark, that is 2 WEEKS! I have to work that week and can't really take time off from my strange job. When you work with independent study kids there are no subs... so she casually just asks for my Spring Break week and we can just do it then. I am pissed! I can't afford to keep doing acupuncture and herbs for another 3 plus months! What should I do? I so desperately want to march down there and pick up my frozen ball of embryos and go home to pout, but I know I can't! The last part that makes it so uncomfortable is that the scheduler is the RE's wife.... Girls, talk amongst yourselves and tell me what to do!

Oh Amy that really bites! You should be mad! Our clinic always asked when we wanted our cycle to run because they said whatever was convenient for us was what they would do. Less stress if you can pick your time. I just took BCP's until they said stop and then that manipulated when the cycle ran. I would think your clinic could do the same. Call them and tell them everything. You told them way in advance when you wanted to cycle again. Tell them it's better for your chi, your wallet, your job, and your sanity to cycle at the beginning of Jan.
I hope everything turns out ok. It really does a number on me when I have a plan in my head and then someone changes it all up on me at the last minute, so I know how you feel!

Is that the teacher in us that gets so upset??? I think it is. Most teachers I know are planners and when someone changes it, I lose it. Especially since it was told to me so matter of fact and without explanation as to why they couldn't do what they originally told me. I sent her an email this morning with a cut and paste of her original email telling me the first of January.... we shall see what she says about that.

Thanks for the ear! My husband has no idea what to say to calm me down and he hates them anyhow.

Soryy to Butt In

I just wanted to make sure and wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This is specially true for Vicky77. I nkow how hard your road has been and I check on you regularly. Love to all you brave women and men that work so hard to become parents. I have journeyed on this road and found a new respect for those of you that must work so hard to get a little piece of heaven on Earth.

God Bless all of you and I pray all your dreams come true!

Hey girls!

Amy- Yep I think it is the teacher in us that makes us want to stick to plans. My husband never knows what to say when I'm upset either. He is more of a "tell me what to do and I'll just fix it" kind of guy!

Hope everyone is doing well. It's been kind of quiet around here. I had my checkup today and I've gained 5 pounds in 2 weeks. OOPS!! It's only going to get worse for the holidays I think.

Still have gifts to buy. What about ya'll? Done shopping?
