HPT and IVF

Hi ladies, I am new to these boards. I am in my 2ww of 1st IVF cycle, I go for beta on the 17th. We did a 5 day blast transfer of 3 grade B embies. I was wondering if anyone got a pos hpt prior to beta and when. I was hoping I would but so far neg. I am 8dp5dt......so do you think its too early??? Hope to hear your responses. Thx

i think 8rth day is too early ...for HPT!
maybe you should try testing on Sat with the first urine!

We did a 5 day blast transfer. (3 blasts) and on day 5dp5dt got a + on the First response HPT.

Hi,
HCG can stay in your system up to 14 days after you do the trigger shot. Women who test too early can get a false positive from that. Count up how many day since your trigger shot & usually it's safe to POAS a few days before the beta. But I really can't say I recommend it. Last time I had a FET(no trigger shot) I used a HPT & got a faint +, then another fainter +, then a negative. It was emotionally harder than just getting one negative because it really got my hopes up. Personally I wouldn't use a HPT on an IVF cycle until the morning of your beta. Even then there are many stories on this site from women who got a negative HPT & a positive beta.

I am going through my 2ww right now ...i tested immed after transfer so i would know when the trigger was out....the first couple of days i got a pos and i knew it was the trigger than i kept getting negatives.....on day 8 after a 3 day transfer i got a very light pos....everyday after darker....tomorrow is my official beta .......i will say at day 8 when you test early...leave the test out after doing it...my faint faint first pos took awhile to show.....

I did a 3dt on 12/7 so I am 7dp3dt and did a HPT this morning it was a BFN. not sure if this is to early but it was a big disappointment. Good Luck

i believe that day 8 is the earliest you would see anything....after you take it leave it on the counter and go back to it like an hour later .....because the hcg is just starting and the line will be sooooo faint

just to ease your mind i had NOTHING at all on day 7.......keep me posted

and remember many many women have had neg hpt and gotten pos betas!!!

I am going to test again tomorrow morning. I don't know why I am abusing my mind like this I know I should wait but at least it might prepare me for the neg beta and I will be able to handle it a little better.

I cant believe it!!! the hpt was right I got a BFP today!!!! first beta is 85.9!!!!

Did a HPT again today 10dp3dt and was a BFN not even a faint pink line. What are my chances of having postive Beta with good numbers (not Chemical, which I had with a FET and low numbers) in two days from now???????????
I purchased tests from internet from early pregnancy tests measures at 20 and those are not turning postive.
