For the physical part, I stopped any alcohol and only consumed organic foods. I started that about 3 months out. I also walk everyday, but have done that always.

For the emotional part - huh not much you can do to prepare because the darn drugs pretty much make you a mess anyway!

Good Luck to you!
Jessica

thank you, JesJes. I am trying to do that now. I read about the Lemon diet, where you just drink the lemon/maple syrup drink for 10 days. just to detox the body you know. anybody tried that? and is it okay for us?also trying to do the garden visualization. any good de-stressing exercises out there?

I will be honest that I didn't do too much, but the usual. I eat pretty healthy most of the time and exercised regularly. But I continued to drink an occasional glass or two of wine, cup of coffee, etc. I think the most important thing is to relax and not stress. Accupuncture really helped me during IVF. I would think from the studies that it would also help prior to starting IVF. Good luck!!!

Some ppl I think it stresses them out to worry about diets and eating helathy before treatment. But I feel it really helps me emotionally feel like I am doing something to help our chances. I usually eat healthy, but cut out caffiene, except for occasional cups, cut down on my wine intake, and I am trying really hard to drink more liquids. I usually drink about 20 oz a day only!
