When does your tummy button ping out?!

Post by rachel r »

Hi everyone

My tummy button is still as it always was - i thought it would have pinged out by now? Im 26 weeks tomorrow - maybe Im just a slow coach!

Bought Herbie (who will be Max) a v. cute little outfit yesterday in Next, couldn't resist and although i know it;ll probably be in the sale after christmas, i couldn't take the chance it might get sold out! Little beige dungarees with a bear on the front and a long sleeved t-shirt with a giraffe on one cuff and a teddy on the other. Its for up to 14kg, so unless im having an absolute bruiser, they should be ok for him!

Hope your all ok and your tummy buttons are pinging out as i type!

By the way, do any of you ever hear a click-clacking noise in the distance? Well, that'll be the army of people my mum's lined up for knitting - its the needles going at 90 miles an hour - poor child will be in knitted gear until he's about 18!

LOL

Rachel
x

When does your tummy button ping out?!

Hi Rachel,

Even though I carried two decent size twins (6lb 2 and 6lb 4) to 39 weeks, my tumy button never popped out so don't worry about it too much!

And we had no 'freshly' knitted stuff so obviously your little one is making up for my two.

Jules

Hi Rach

I am now 31wks mine as changed a little and it does have a little bit of a lip at the top but its not come out properly. My Mom always says to me that if it stays in its a boy and if it pops out its a girl (another one of those old wives tales I reckon) how are you apart from asking about your belly button?

Love
Shell.
-x-

When does your tummy button ping out?!

Hi everyone - I'm 24 weeks and mine hasnt popped out yet!! I hope it doesnt cos I dont like it when belly buttons show through clothes - if mine pops out I'll put some masking tape over it or something !!

I am fighting against buying clothes at the moment cos I think I just might as well leave it til after christmas (due 17 March). Seen so many gorgeous things - in Mothercare there's a range called "Humphrey's Corner" and there's this gorgeous little cream velvet suit with an elephant sweeping up leaves on it - AAHHHH!! it's just SSOOOOOOOOOOO cute - it might be Alices "coming home" outfit!!

Lots of love to you all and your bumps. Hi Jo

I also like the items in Mothercare with the elephants, I did buy the little one a baby gro in that and it;s lovely. I am just deciding what I will need to put in my hospital bag.

Jules I totally agree with these saying some of them do make you laugh, I don't want my belly button to pop but if it does it does, but I don't reckon it will now.

Love
Shell.
xx

Hi girls

Thanks for your replies. Saw the midwife today for my 6 month check (!) and heard Herbie's little heart. I'm carrying really low (no sign of a bump above my belly button, its literally all below) and I asked her if that was normal and she said the baby is still in breach which is why im low, and to prepare myself for a c-section. Not thinking about it, or worrying for that matter, as I've another 14 weeks, and Herbs may well have moved by then. Lovely to hear the heart and think i will now hire a doppler so Rob and granparents and aunts etc can have a listen too.

I've seen the humphreys corner stuff, its so so cute!! Going to mothercare tomorrow for a little mooch (and probably spend!)

Lots of love to you all!

Rachel
x
