Fetal Doppler

Post by vicky77 »

Hi girls, I am very very tempted to get me one of those dopplers to be able to listen to my baby's HB at home, but my DH is telling me I will go crazy with one (you know, once you don't find a hearbeat and you are running to the ER.......).
So I would like to have some input from those who have one, do you recommend it?, if so, which one do you recommend?

Thank you from and anxious (very anxious) future mom

Hi vicky i got a doppler and to be honest i think it was the only thing that has kept me sane being able to listen to baby when i want to you can hear them move and everything its not always easy to find the heartbeat but i would just leave her for a while then try again when i told my midwife i got 1 she gave me a row and said she would even try and find baby with doppler until my 24wk appt i did not rent it until 15 wks and wish i had got it sooner its the best thing i got expect for this baby good luck with the rest of your pregnancy .

Hi Vicky!
I agree with Lara. I am 24 weeks pregnant now and my husband and I rented the doppler at I think about 11 weeks. He said the same thing to me. He was worried that I may become obsessive with it but it truly has become a God send. It has helped keep me sane. I try not to use it every day but when I am feeling a little scared it helps so much to hear his little heartbeat and the kicks. I highly recommend it.
Good luck to you.

Hi Cocoa!
Thanks for the invitation to the April/May thread. My due date is actually April 7 but I am consistently measuring ahead of schedule both during my exams (the measurements) and the ultrasounds. So, possibly I will be due sometime in March.
Congratulations on the twins. Do you know the genders yet? You must be soooooo excited!!! We found out about a month ago that we are having a boy!!!!!
WHen are you due? I hope that you are having a perfectly smooth pregnancy. Please stay in touch. I would like to hear from you too.
