1ST IVF CYCLE ..ANY POINTERS?

HELLO TO ALL ...
I'M 41 AND FIRST IVF CYCLE WILL START SOON...I'M REALLY AFRAID OF NEEDLES I'M GOING ON THE DECEMBER 20TH FOR MY INJECTION CLASS..
I WAS WONDERING ANY OF YOU USE A CERTAIN WAY TO INJECT YOURSELVES? SO IT WON'T HURT AS MUCH..

good luck with your injection class today but try not to worry. they needles are actually much smaller than most needles used for blood tests, etc. and i promise you can bearly feel them! i had the option of doing them either in my thigh or belly and the thought of injecting in my belly terrified me!!! however, i was repeatedly told that your belly is easier to use so i thought i would try it. and i never did an injection anywhere else!!! your belly really is the easiest place as everyone has a bit of fat on there! so that would be my advice. if you still really struggle there is some numbing cream you can buy (or get on prescription from the doctors) but i didnt find a need for them.

I just wanted to say hello - sounds like we started our journey around the same time - I too am 41.

I too was afraid of giving myself a needle - but found that to be one of the easier parts of this process.

I had my transfer on Sunday January 13th - - and the wait begins,....
how is everything going with you??

I did not have a great experience this time as I had 31 follicles and only 4 eggs - but my E2 level was 13,000 - - two made it to transfer
1 grade one and 1 grade two,....

I hope things went better for you! Would love to hear about your experience!!!

there are a few women on our list ( jan/feb cycle buddies in the IVF section) that are just now doing 2ww and ER/ET
come on over and pass some time with us, we're fun and funny, and perfect to vent to if yer feeling like POAS!
