Mommies to be in the third trimister!

Post by Faithinababy »

Hello soon to be mommies or daddies -

I thought this would be a great forum to talk about any issues any of us are expieriencing during our 3rd trimister. I just turned 28 weeks on Tuesday and I am now officially in my third trimister. This is so exciting but now I worry if the baby will be fine, if labor will be painful there are now new worries for me. Before I was scared to death of a misscarriage, there are times where I will feel a little down and will just cry for anything my poor hubby will try to console me in any way he can. Dont get me wrong I am so happy with my little man on his way but my emotions have been so crazy. I am also expeiriencing some cramps and contractions so my doctor has me in bed rest for the rest of the month and I am not due til March 4. All these things have worried me much. It would just be nice to hear from other woman who are going thru the same thing. Cant wait ti hear from all of you.

Merry x-mas and GOD bless your little miracles!!

Hi Hilda,

I am also in my 3rd, I will be 32 weeks tomorrow but I am having 3! So I have been having contractions since around 28 weeks. 29 weeks they gave me terbutaline and nifedipine to stop them coming so regularly and for now it has helped. I still get them but as long as they aren't coming every 5 minutes like they were I am happy.
Of course I am so uncomfortable but glad I made it this far. Now they can come whenever they want and I will not be as scared for them even though they will be premature. They have a great chance now.
Hang in there, with the holidays I bet March will be coming soon!

Hi Allison -

I am on the same prescription as you and they do help. Today I had to go get my glucose tolerance test and that was a pain I got poked 5 times on my arms for blood and that was painful. It seems that my blood sugar is borderline so the doc just wants to make sure I am fine. I will not know the results till Friday so I am praying that all turns out well. I am now 29 weeks and starting to feel a little tired just like the first 3 months. How exciting for you 3 little miracles, I just cannot believe how far most of us have gone and after trying for many years. This is truly a blessing for all of us. I hope all goes well and your right your miracles will be ok GOD is looking over us we are all here for a reason. Take care and keep me posted with your little miracle your almost there.

Good Luck!!

Hilda,

I am just entering the third trimester also. We had a baby from a previous IVF procedure two years ago. There will be a lot of changes in your life and just be sure that you have the right support system in place (DH, family, friends, doctor) to provide assistance to you when baby arrives. My emotions (hormones) took awhile to settle once the baby arrived and I was the first to admit I needed some help. In the end, you will become a very happy mommy.

Best wishes on a safe and hopefully smooth delivery.

Third Trimester

Post by lynneyd7 »

Hi there,
I also am in my third trimester, 28 weeks and 4 days. We are having a little girl. I'm starting to feel tired but other wise great. Worried about the labor and feel very unprepared for it, even with birthing classes. Offical due date is 3-8-08, so excited. Best of luck to everyone.

Hello ladies -

I am soo happy to hear from some of you although I am a little worried I went to my doctor today and he told me I am diabetic. I am very scared and now I have to wait for the diabeties center to call me and teach me to take care of myself. Have any of you had to go thru this I hope some will tell me they had this and all turned out well.

Hilda,
I am sorry to hear that, I don't really know anything about it. But hopefully the Dr. will make sure you still deliver a healthy baby. I think they have a tendancy to be big babies if you have G.D. I had to do that test too but mine came back -ive. I am pretty anemic so I am dealing with that too. It is always something it seems!!
Welcome everyone else!
I am still hanging in there, hoping to make it to next Friday and 34 weeks and so far so good. Cervix is closed and they dont seem like they want to go anywhere. Wondering if we may have a Christmas surprise, but I doubt it!
Have a great holiday!!

GD

Post by lynneyd7 »

Hilda,
I have G.D. At first I tried to control it with diet, but that did not work and I am on insulin injections morning and night. Don't be scared, just need to watch what you eat as your body is not breaking down your sugars. I check my blood sugar 4 times a day. Our little girl is healthy, yes GD tends to bring bigger babies, but not always. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Lynne

Hope all is well with everyone, i will be 30 weeks on Saturday and can not wait to meet her.

Hi Lynne -

I am glad all is turning well for you. The shots dont scare me at all after all the IVF treatment I had to go thru. I am a little more worried about my little boy. I finally have my class and teachings tomorrow morning and they will also check my sugars so I am hoping all that goes well. I have been feeling very tired and have no energy, the nurse said it could be because of the sugar levels but I hope I can control everything with diets. Good Luck with everything and I will definately let you know if I have any other questions which I am sure I will have after tomorrow.

Hilda,
Have they tested you to see if you are anemic? I was very tired and felt so out of it and they found I was very anemic so they put me on iron supplements. Maybe that would help your energy levels.
I'm still hanging in there! Have an appt tomorrow, hoping he will schedule me soon! Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi Allison -

I did get checked for that too but I am assuming my test came back normal cause the doctor did not mention that he just mentioned my sugar levels. I was put on a special diet and have to monitor my blood levels about 6 times a day. I also have been feeling very tired but the nurse told me its called hyperclasimia something like that and that is when my sugars are too high or too low. I know it sucks that we have to go thru all this but we are almost there. After all we have been thru to get this far its all worth it. Once our little miracles are here we will all be back to normal. I am so glad to hear from all of you and that none of us are alone. Hang in there Allison everything will be ok. Just always remember to keep your FAITH and you will always have us to help you in any way we can.

Hilda
I know we all will be fine, it can also be all the hormones we have taken prior to our pregnacies. Hang in there!!
