hi girls - sorry haven't posted - been very busy at work this week. think lots of us have scans this week - my 12 week one is on Thursday - feel nervous and excited at the same time. Time to leave work - I am so hungry I feel weak - will have to try and find something to munch on the way home. Hope you are all well.

Hey gang!!! well I wanted to wait until we had some news before I wrote. We went in for the 8 week scan (actually 8 weeks 4 days) and everything looked great. They both measured the exact same at 2.03 cm. Baby A's heartbeat is at 172 and Baby B's is at 131. We have now graduated to our own doc and we have a 10 week scan scheduled already.

My DW was VERY happy because we were told we only have 10 more days of progesterone shots.

That is it for now. I hope everyone is doing fantastic!!

Angie, sorry to hear your still starving, i wonder when this all ends.good luck for thursday, i also have another scan then.

Kimberli, well done on graduating to the 2nd trimester, can't wait to get there myself. have you finished all your drugs now?

As for me, still feeling tired and hungry, nausea comes and goes some days worse than others but at least its not been physical. Got an extra scan at the clinic on thursday for peace of mind due to the miscarraiges i've had, then i have my first midwife appointment on Friday locally.

Well ladies, it seems that everyone is doing great!

Vickers, glad to hear all is well with the twins! Sounds like you are moving right along!

Beachbaby....sounds like you too are doing well...so glad to hear it, and cant wait to hear about your scan

as for me, well we had our second scan today, it is confirmed that we are only having one, and not twins as they originally thought! The second gestational sack is still there, but there is not any progression in it, but hey.....I am tickeled pink or blue about one healthy baby!
We have also progressed to leave our IVF clinic, this was our last appt.....I actually cried a little I will really miss our PA, she is AWESOME, we feel very blessed to have such wonderful Dr's help us make all this possible. And on our first attempt! Done with all the meds, except a baby asprin a day.....so I am relieved that no more shots!

We will go for our first regular OB appt after the first of the year...until then, we will cherish each moment of a growing belly and anticipaption of boy or girl!

Merry Christmas all, and remember we are all truley blessed this year!

hi everyone it has been a long time for my posting!!!been busy with all the holidays and working went for my 2nd u/s on fri 14 the babys hearbeat was 160 so very excited about that!!!!it is growing so fast and so am i out of my clothes..lol i have seen everyone is doing great i want to wish everbody a merry christmas and happy new year!!! what an awsome way to start a new year!!!!!

Hello everyone!
It's been awhile since I posted, but here I am!
Anyway...my last u/s was 2 weeks ago ( 7 weeks along for me) and we saw and heard a heart beat (h/b 130)!!! So cool!! And everything looked good. My next u/s sound is scheduled for Jan. 04/08, I should be around 11 weeks along by then....

Hi Everyone-

Vickers- Congratulations on graduating from your dr. It's exciting and nerve wrecking at the same time. Glad to hear you don't have many more shots left. I was so glad to be done with mine.

Angie- I know what you mean by being hungry. I feel like I'm hungry all the time now. I even wake up in the middle of the night 3amish hungry. I keep crackers on my nightstand so I don't have to get up and get something along with a bottle of water. Also at work one of my desk drawers is filled with snacks to get me through the day. I just feel like all I do is eat.

Jayne- Thanks for the congrats. I've been of the fertility meds since the 5th. And so glad too. Now all I have to take is my vitamins. Glad to hear the nausea isn't so bad.

Kristi- Congrats on graduating from the dr. I know what you mean by being sad leaving them. I had a great fertility dr/nurse and the whole staff was so personable and was upset to leave them too. I'm hoping to build a good relationship with my new drs. At least you are done with your meds

Melinda- I know what you mean about the clothes. I'm finally out of my regular clothes and some maternity pants are actually fitting. It seems like last week I woke up and poof there was a belly on me! One store I found that has reasonable maternity clothes prices and cute clothes is the motherhood store. Sales people were really helpful and there was a lot to choose from.

To everyone else I missed I hope all is ok.
As for me I have my monthly check up tomorrow. Hopefully all will go well and I have my nuchal translucency test on the 27th. At least that is with an ultra sound so I'll be able to see the babies again.

Hi girls and boy! A quick update from me. Today was the 12 week scan and had my test for Downs Syndrome (Nuchal fold measurement on the neck). For an oldie like me it has come out well - 1 in 4150 chance so I'm pleased.

Really cool to see the baby - he/she wouldn't get into the right position for the measurements so I had to be prodded and probed and my stomach was literally pummelled by the dr to get baby to move. Ouch!

Coming back to work - an old man looked me on the tram, rubbed his belly and said pregnant, eh? and gave me a wink! Guess I must be showing...

Kimberli, good luck with the scan, can't believe your already in maternity clothes.

Hi to everyone else, glad your all doing well. not long now and we'll all be past that magic week.

As for me had another scan today and both babies measuring fine, due date changed to 21st July a day earlier.Got my first midwife appointment tomorrow, more blood tests, and will discuss booking my nuchal test in the new year.

catch up again soon. last day at work tomorrow untio after christmas.

Hi Everyone-

Angie- Glad to hear your test went well. What exactly did they do? I have my nuchal next week. Just curious as to what all is invoved.

Jayne- Glad to hear your scan went well and things are progressing the way they should.

As for everyone else I know we had a lot of scan and dr appts yesterday I hope all went well.

As for me I didn't get a scan wont' till next week for the nuchal. However, I finally was able to hear the heartbeat of one of the babies. They couldn't get the other one but said that was normal with twins b/c of the position they could be in. Dr wasn't concerned at all. Also they did a mini cathater on me to get a urine sample b/c my last one was tainted with bacteria, probably from the prometrin suppositories I was on then. Needless to say that really hurt and when I went to the bathroom it burned all night. Much better today thank goodness. So all in all things are progressing well and I gained 6 lbs since my last appt. I feel so fat but am reassured by dh its just pregnancy.
